I'm not crying, you're crying! Well executed, cutesy little game, riffing off the old Lemmings concept, but with some additional twists and turns. Graphics could be better in this day and age, but at the end of the day it's the gameplay and vibe more than anything else.

"Tin Hearts presents a really great puzzle adventure for the Nintendo Switch. The plot is rather simple, but the good voice acting and great soundtrack make for an atmospheric story. The graphics also fit the game well. However, the controls feel a bit heavy and playing alone (without taking the hand) is also a bit annoying. I used to love playing Lemmings, and Tin Hearts reminds me of it, even though it is much more complex. Tin Hearts is a very lovingly designed puzzle game that starts off easy, but quickly ramps up in difficulty. I love the look and the music, it creates a great mood.

I was expecting a cute and wholesome puzzle game but this ended up being so much more! The puzzles themselves are quite clever and I found them to be challenging but not frustrating. What surprised me though was the deep narrative woven throughout the game, and I found myself invested in the family's story, which made me want to play all the way to the end.

The only criticism I have is

Extremely pleasant puzzler experienced through an engaging emotional story.

The game starts off fairly simple, with blocks that contain certain icons cut from their woodwork, making it easy to slot these into the right place. Later on, however, completely blank objects can be placed anywhere, so you’re given complete creative freedom in how you’re going to solve the puzzle.

Then the story kicks in and I am now sobbing. Well played.

Really poor graphics, zero challenge, pretentious story. It's only poignant because I regret paying for it.

3D Lemmings in a nutshell but with loads more to offer.

Stop, rewind, and fast forward time make trying out different strategies a breeze. Future path tracing during stop time makes aligning blocks and other interactive items simple. On some levels you are given separate control of one soldier independent of the rest which creates some great puzzle solving challenges. Level 33 so

Level 33 so far and have enjoyed every minute.
Never repetitive, introduction of new interactive items / play mechanics is well paced.
Graphics are good (backgrounds) to great (animation of toy soldiers and backstory videos).
Music is so-so but voice acting for the backstory videos is high quality.

Difficulty / complexity increase with level but never to the point of total frustration.

Overall, a great quality game, hope a sequel is in the works.

I wish I knew this before purchasing. The terrible controls scheme on Switch make this game unplayable. I suggest developer to either implement touch screen controls support or rethink the control scheme.

Lovely game. It basically plays like good old Lemmings in 3D. The soldiers are adorable, the music is fantastic and the puzzles are great. Since you can rewind and fast forward, you can play at your own pace, which is very convenient. Be warned though, the puzzles get quite complex in later levels.

Tin Hearts offers puzzle gamers a touching story and plenty of challenges across its 40+ levels, some of which are quite lengthy and rewarding. However, user interface issues, inconsistent graphics, and a few odd development decisions make toy time a little less fun than it could have been.

Tin Hearts is the adorable, and poignant spiritual successor to Lemmings you never knew you needed.

Tin Hearts is a fun and touching narrative puzzle game. The puzzles are creative and challenging (and a little long), while the story is engrossing without getting in the way of the puzzles. The steampunk art direction and Victorian setting draw you in to the world, story, and the gameplay even more. A lack of graphical polish and performance issues keep this otherwise great game from being amazing.
