When I came to, I was in a bamboo grove.

    I was in a stupor, so I didn't know where I was, and I couldn't remember who I was.

There was one bell on a bamboo branch that was ringing as it swayed in the wind.

While still charmed by it, I took this somewhat strange bell and hung it from my neck. "home."

I started to walk through the bamboo grove.

That's when the wind suddenly fluttered around me, and when I looked back at that moment, I saw a small, pale hand.

    "Master... is that you...?"

A single fox girl was standing there. She was crying and looked very happy.

The Fox Awaits Me doesn’t seem like it would be a gripping thriller, and yet, it is. There were moments during the story where I was entirely at the edge of my seat, but then the writers decided to put some perverted joke in that hurt the pacing tremendously. Thankfully, the thrill survives thanks to the desire to figure out the truth. I would really like to see a mystery from this team without so much reliance on jokes and puns. For now, The Fox Awaits Me is an excellent way to spend a weekend.

The Fox Awaits Me leads players on a satisfying and thrilling journey. Despite players having relatively few choices, there is plenty of content to unlock, for those who can tolerate a mountain of cliches and a few annoying performance issues.
