    I'm glad they gave out a demo for this game, because man am I disappointed.

    Was really hoping for a good investigation game, but all the stuff just threw me off.
    Controls are weird and wonky, script-writing is all over the place, and there is no tutorial to tell you what you have to solve the case. And -this bit is a bit nitpicking- they don't just put out signs saying "delicious" and "beautiful" everywhere. (I'm a Chinese, you can't fool me)
    The game has 90% driving (which includes weird control) and it's annoying, there should be no need for me to go to the crime scene, then go to the police station, then go to hospital, then go back home, then go back to the crime scene, then finally go back to the police station. Just let me have a tablet and do it in one go.
    And script-writing, like what the heck. "Do you know this item?" "No." "But this thing has your fingerprint on it." "Fine I admit it, but please don't report me." "Sorry ma'am, I'll have to report you or I'll get fired." End of conversation. What. It doesn't even get intense or anything, no, it just scroll past through and just "case solved".
    Also what is with the hospital guy? He just, like, pure white? The character models are lazy and it's obvious. And their AI are so basic. The street people will just keep walking in the same place even though there's my car blocking them, and they'll run a bit if I hit them. It feels like a '00 game.
    One thing I'll give to them is that the music and the graphic are pretty alright.    … Full Review »

    The Casebook of Arkady Smith puts you in the role of an investigator living in a futuristic city, where you must solve various crimes in anThe Casebook of Arkady Smith puts you in the role of an investigator living in a futuristic city, where you must solve various crimes in an open world environment. The crimes themselves are very engaging and interesting as you work to solve it by investigating crime scenes and interrogating people of Interest. The crimes themselves can be difficult at times to solve, but that is just a part of the experience.

    PROS:

    - Cases can be very fun and engaging to play through, they really do put you in the shoes of the character and makes you feel very invested throughout. One of the first cases I had tasked me in solving the murder of a man who had his optical enhanced eye plucked out. Working through the case was very interesting, as my theories that I had at the beginning of the case on who did it were constantly changing with each new lead I had. It was like this throughout the game, and it was really fun.

    - The world and overall environment have a very nice feel to them, I can best describe it as a sort of cyberpunk Gotham city. The rain, crime, and overall dark feel attribute to that Gotham feel as well. The world feels lived in as well, with the stores, bars, cars, and NPC's littered all over the city.

    - The graphics and music are very nice, feeling as though they were ripped straight out of an 80's sci-fi movie. The soundtrack in particular brings this game all together with it's mysterious and almost ominous feel. The graphics and lighting are also beautiful to look at, while textures and models are simplistic, the lighting and reflective effects are genuinely beautiful to look at.

    CONS:

    - There is a notable lack of tutorial or direction in the game, which can be attributed to finding it out yourself in a detective sort of way, but to the casual player it can be frustrating and confusing.

    - There seems to be lack of polish with the controls, driving especially feels a bit wonky and controlling the player isn't the most comfortable either. Once you get familiar with them they do become easier and more comfortable to maneuver with though.

    - NPC's have very basic AI, and feel a bit behind the times in terms of today's games. They have no sense of direction and will walk straight into the street as an oncoming car plows them over. They kind of remind me of the NPC's from the Lego games.

    My final review of this game is: GOOD! I enjoyed my time with it all around, and will definitely replay it in the future. I would recommend you to pick this up, but know of the hint of difficulty if you are more of a casual player.    … Full Review »

I tried hard to give it a chance , and struggle driving from crime scene to the morgue then to city sec back to crime scene back to my apartment back to crime scene etc. just for each single case . A massive tedious game. No help , no hints of what to do. A game that after the first 20 mins you have to look for a walkthrough, is not a good game . There’s ridiculous clues (not hinted or pointed out) as to walk in front of the building to talk to some witness. It’s all f**ng dark, common people look like ultra dark in this game . Besides there’s no hint about that or anything to that matter. The story is pointless . A test to your patience . The driving is nuts. Who the f**ck design this? Cars are all over the lanes. They just bumped/hit you . It’s a massive lane invasion.
    Just wacko wild in a bad and annoying way.

    The dialogs are....well ...very poor. Robotic. Is a big turd of game. I really give it my best and try but it’s very bad. The idea is not wrong, it’s just very bad executed. Not even on sale/bargain ( in my case) is worth buying or playing. Don’t waste your pennies or time on this.    … Full Review »
