    If you’re a Nintendo Switch Owner there’s no real reason for you to not download this title. It’s already a Game of the Year Contender.

    The complete oddball of the family, Tetris 99 offers a truly unique way to play the tried-and-tested classic, even if the overall package feels a little lightweight. Playing live against 98 others is chaotic, and the action feels fast, precise, and wonderfully addictive. It’s seriously difficult, too – we’d fancy our chances in Fortnite over this any day – and we’re impressed with the fact that it's forced us to play the game with a completely different approach to our usual slow-and-steady ways. Signing up for Nintendo Switch Online just to play this game might be a bit of a stretch, but if you’re already a member, what are you waiting for? It’s free, and it might just become your next favourite time sink.

    Tetris 99 is a pleasant surprise, and is my favorite content offered by the Nintendo Switch Online service to date. The idea of playing Tetris against 98 other players at once seems ludicrous but is fun in practice and delivers intense moments just like when you’re among the final few in a battle royale game.

    Tetris 99 may not be a proper battle royale game, but it taps into the same emotional well, where a large number of players vying for supremacy creates an ever-present intensity that's difficult to shake. Add that layer to a game that's plenty capable of instilling tension on its own, and you've got a riveting experience that even at its worst is still a game very much worth playing. There's obvious room for improvement, but that's the last thing on your mind when the pieces start falling and the players start dropping.

    it is a Tetris battle royal it is just amazing you only need Nintendo switch oniine but you can drop Netflix for that.

Puedes atacar y contraatacar enviandoles basura a sus partidas al hacer lineas ya sea dobles, triples, tetris, etc. Es muy adictivo y entretenido, el intentar quedar en primer lugar resulta aveces muy complicado ya que te encuentras con jugadores con un muy buen nivel y tal grado que hay mucha tensión y con una pequeña distracción puedes perder la partida.

    Espero y que lo esten actualizando con forme pase el tiempo, con nuevas mecánicas y/o modos de juegos, incluso poner un 1 vs 1.    … Expand

As the name suggests, it is based on the Tetris game mechanics. But some things are different: you can attack opponents by removing rows. The game is a bit complex and may not be immediately understandable for everyone, but if you spend some time playing it can be a lot of fun.
    Plus, the game's music really invites you to start a new match over and over again. The remix of the original music was also a good work! The short matches also contribute to the fact that this is a wonderful game short sessions.    … Expand

    This game is a real mixed bag. I give it a 7 because the single player is classic Tetris and it's great at that, but I have to keep the scoreThis game is a real mixed bag. I give it a 7 because the single player is classic Tetris and it's great at that, but I have to keep the score down because of the online aspect that is a big focus. Luckily it isn't really necessary, tickets can be earned offline and everything. I just hate playing this game online because it's the type of game where you have to be absolutely obsessed with it and a absolute master at playing it or you will simply get beat up on the entire time. Because of this I can't say that I have ever had fun playing it online. Still, good game if you buy the offline content.… Expand

    This game is highly competitive and lacks any instructions/tutorial about it's complex mechanics, this is juvenile game design.
