    The only game that makes Nintendo Switch Online worth a damn. By taking the classic Tetris gameplay and giving it the battle royale spin, Tetris 99 is addictive, tense and quite hard sometimes, but oh-so satisfying when you win a match.     The idea of making Tetris a battle royale game is surprisingly good. A must have if you are both competitive and a Tetris fan.

    Very fun game. Getting a win is incredibly rewarding, and the attack system feels great too. The balancing though, is quite annoying for casual players though. People that only really have prior experience with tetris will be able to pick this game up and get a win, while casual, slower players will most likely have a rough time with the game.     The battle royal genre is one that I have long not cared for but Tetris 99 is a lot of fun. I've always been a big fan of Tetris games and something about the competitive aspect of playing Tetris with 98 other people is very interesting to me.     It’s a good (And free) game with no micro transactions besides the optional single player DLC. Being a free game on the Switch, it’s a game anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription should get.

    Tetris - only with other players and more crazy - I think this description fits the game very well. As the name suggests, it is based on the Tetris game mechanics. But some things are different: you can attack opponents by removing rows. The game is a bit complex and may not be immediately understandable for everyone, but if you spend some time playing it can be a lot of fun.

    The best version of one of the most popular games all time. Man does it feel good to beat 98 other players! Took me 450 tries to get my first win but now I’m winning 12% of games. Practice makes perfect in this one. 10/10

    Tetris, une licence de près de 40 ans qui arrive toujours à s'adapté aux modes d’aujourd’hui avec une réussite sans défaut. Le jeu est excellent, fonctionne très bien et adapte de la meilleure des manières la licence.
    Le jeu fonctionne très bien même en online, le faite que Nintendo l'offre à ces abonné est un bon coup pour eux mais aussi pour le jeu qui possède une base de joueurs assez    Tetris, une licence de près de 40 ans qui arrive toujours à s'adapté aux modes d’aujourd’hui avec une réussite sans défaut. The music is an absolute banger and no one can beat me (or take me get it), I am the invictus master and this game makes Nintendo switch online worth £2000 a week, one v one me at zombillie to find out.     Este tipo de juegos nunca han sido de mi estilo, aunque casi todos hemos jugado (desde la game boy en mi caso). No sé como lo han hecho pero me lo pasó genial con esta reinvención del clásico, creo que es el único battle royal al que voy a jugar de verdad en mi vida. No le doy un 10 porque eso lo reservo para los juegos que marcan, pero me parece genial.

    What is it about this game that makes it so addictive? I don't know, but there really is something about battling other 98 players in Tetris... also, the themes and events we get from time to time are fun.

Probably every game. Plays on strategies are now incorporated such as offensive, defensive, and    Tetris, except with 98 other people and with only 1 winner.
    Its a Tetris Battle-Royale!

    Now since this game has been popular for decades, and there are tournaments out there every year or even multiple times a year, there will be many professional tetris players that you may come across. Probably every game.

    Plays on strategies are now incorporated such as offensive, defensive, and neutral with the different attack options that you can switch to mid-game. There are many other game modes too such as team mode where there are 4 teams split from up to 99 players, and even Vindictus mode where winners are able to compete in a much faster, infinite gravity Tetris.

    I am no great Tetris player like the thousands out there, but I'm still able to get a few Tetris Maximus and so will you if you enjoy playing this ageless game for the fun it brings.

    Definitely a must have for casual gamers and hardcore, or even first time gamers alike!    … Expand

    Tetris is almost 40 years old now, but it's still as perfect as the day it was released. And Tetris 99 is a perfect example of how you can give new life to a timeless concept just by tweaking it ever so slightly.

    Tetris battle Royale at first seems like a weird, trying-to-be-hip concept where it is Tetris against 99 in a battle Royale format. First off, with the bad. There is no tutorial, which was annoying for me to start, as I had never played Tetris before. That being said, Tetris Royale is a fun - and for many fresh - take on the timeless puzzler. I have had many hours of fun trying to beat my personal highest finish (currently 4th place), improving my stats and unlocking the themes in this game. The music for each theme is great as well, and the classic Tetris gameplay is great. I still am a bit unsure with how the 'killing off enemies' works (that's why a tutorial would be nice) but I keep coming back to play it even with the one battle royal in the hope to one day come first. A must have for anyone with a switch, and easily one of the biggest suprises of the year.… Expand

    With online tournaments to partake in, new modes like Tetris Invictus where only the elite can compete, and a thriving community of fans logging in every day to play, Tetris 99 might very well represent the pinnacle of the series. It would be nice to have a better variety of tunes to listen to (although themes help alleviate this problem), and the issues with the UI can occasionally make it slightly hard to see what’s happening on-screen, but overall any Switch owner should consider giving Tetris 99 a whirl. This is brilliant game design that deserves the acclaim that has been lavished on it up to this point.
