Feb 10, 2025TMNT: Splintered Fate - Casey Jones & The Junkyard Jam is a welcome addition to Splintered Fates, more for its playable hero than its new level.
-
Feb 19, 2025Casey Jones and the Junkyard Jam is a fairly concise DLC, but at only $10.49 for a new harder-hitting playable character, a new third stage that’s far more enjoyable than the original, and an expanded selection of artefacts that give you even more fun ways to dole out damage, it’s well worth a punt. Though Casey can be a bit of a liability in the late game, he’s still a great addition to the roster, especially if he’s buddied up with someone a little speedier in co-op. Ultimately though, Junkyard Jam is a decent excuse to play more Splintered Fate and that is no bad thing at all.

Feb 12, 2025Junkyard Jam is a pretty short DLC, all things told. On the other hand, it’s priced appropriately. A new heavy hitter and a much better third section is totally worth the asking cost. And the expanded artifact selection is a nice bonus as well. And yet, Casey Jones himself is a mixed bag of sorts. He’s powerful, but said power comes with some drawbacks. You can get through a standard run well enough, but he’s a real liability in the endgame. On balance though, Casey Jones & The Junkyard Jam is a perfect excuse to play more Splintered Fate. If you’ve been looking for a reason to jump back in, this DLC is a good one.

Mar 14, 2025Casey Jones & The Junkyard Jam DLC isn’t a game-changer, but the asking price is low and the recent option to quickly join players online improves the entire package’s quality. As a result, those who might have given Splintered Fate a pass before might find themselves now intrigued by the possibility of slapping ninjas and robots around with three other players, at least for a few afternoons.
