Nov 14, 2021Terrible port of a great game. The gunplay is great but unfortunately marred by poor framerate and bad controls (specifically in regards to pick up management). Game has a really long load time and forces you to select language preference every time you start the game.

Jan 21, 2021Honestly an amazing game and I would rate top score if I could experience past the 2nd boss but my game will 100% without fail crazh after or on 2nd boss so that's all I've got to experience:(

Feb 13, 2021I love this game, but this port is awful. Crashes constantly, and the framerate is very inconsistent. Hopefully it gets patched into working order.

Sep 14, 2022SYNTHETIK: Ultimate is a wonderful roguelike that's been utterly ruined by its Switch port. What should be one of the best games on the Nintendo Switch is instead emblematic of everything wrong with the eShop. Frame rate dips, technical hiccups, and game breaking glitches tear down all the goodwill this game establishes. When there's no such thing as quality assurance, amazing games release in unplayable states. SYNTHETIK: Ultimate should be played, just not on Nintendo Switch.

Feb 16, 2021While I wish the developers would give their awful UI a top-to-bottom revamp, anyone who makes it past the initial mess and manages to dig in will find a challenging, persuasive roguelike actioner that delivers an unexpectedly sophisticated good time. The exterior needs a fair amount of elbow grease, but the engine underneath is purring.

Feb 1, 2021SYNTHETIK: Ultimate manages to encapsulate the retro-Sci-Fi boxy aesthetic of games like Starwing, whilst still feeling modern and fresh to current sensibilities. The game can be tailored to your difficulty preference, but the challenge is its own reward.
