This game could have been a good game, but the messy gameplay, awkward ball control and confusing A.I. makes it hard to recommend Soccer Blast to fans of soccer.

I’m not going to say not to buy Super Soccer Blast: America VS Europe if you’re a fan of arcade soccer, but if you played Super Soccer Blast last year (or even if you played Super Sports Blast, which also includes that game), then there’s really no reason to pick this up too.

Without the intricacies of detailed simulations, there's plenty of fun to be found here, especially in local multiplayer sessions. The lack of online multiplayer, though, is difficult to understand, and the short number of teams and game modes, and an AI that doesn't always work like we'd expect can make for a rather limited and less consistent game. In any case, players looking for simple, quick football action have something cost-efficient to find with Super Soccer Blast: America vs Europe.

Ultimately, the gameplay just feels a bit slapstick, with messy movement, erratic ball controls, and shoddy AI. Its simplicity is immediately appealing, with quick matches allowing for short sessions while you’re out and about, but even with its quirky visual style, the liberties taken with its gameplay makes Super Soccer Blast: America vs Europe a tough game to recommend.
