    As a fan of the series and the characters the game is great, but I can understand where it falls short for nonfans

    The platforming part of the game is so bad, that most of the time is spent trying to reach the platform. A failed jump takes so many button press to get back, and make the pacing of the game really slow.

Es un buen juego rpg, se enfoca en la navegación horizontal, con elementos "metroidvania", pero en realidad no lo es como tal, tiene plataformas, pero el gameplay no se enfoca en eso. El sistema de batallas es muy bueno, ya que toma influencias un poco de Bravely Default, en cuanto a la administración de turnos, puedes almacenar turnos, para realizar un ataque. Un solo botón sirve para controlar un personaje y serán asignados con A, B, Y, X (O según la consola), manejaremos diversas formaciones y dependiendo de ellas tu batalla se enfocará a como tu la organices. Hay muchas formaciones y habilidades por desarrollar. Para mi es un juegazo, por el arte del juego, la historia, las referencias a la guerra de consolas. Si no te gustan los RPGs por turnos, no te lo recomiendo. Pero si eres amante de los RPGs este juego es para tí.… Expand

    Chose plutôt rare dans l’industrie, on peut reconnaître et saluer la prise de risque décidé par Idea Factory en confiant sa licence Hyperdimension Neptunia au studio Canadien Artisan Studio. Développé en 2D et avec un sytème de jeu inspiré par Valkyrie Profile, Super Neptunia RPG est très accueillant avec les joueurs qui vont découvrir la licence avec ce titre. Que ce soit dans son système de jeu et dans son scénario, on est en quelque sorte en face d’un reboot qui ne dit pas son nom. Tout n’est pas parfait et le jeu aurai mérité à avoir un rythme plus soutenu et surtout être plus au point techniquement pour la fluidité, mais on peut saluer la direction artistique magnifique et un scénario drôle et bien écrit. Une entrée en matière très sympathique à transformer avec un éventuel second opus…la Guerre des console le mérite!

    A pretty good RPG that unfortunately suffers from lag and a lack of clarity on several elements (such as the battle system, which isn't explained very well). The music and art style are charming though.

    a great short rpg for fans of the series. very fun and addicting. the voices english and japanese are all great, and the dialogue is just brilliant. the gameplay is flawless with the only downside is a little slow. the story is engaging and the artstyle is beautiful. 9/10

    I really enjoyed the game. It wasnt as good as the main series but i think most nep fans will enjoy it.
    The Art and Music was the strongest point of the Game. Story was very Nep-like. The Gameplay could have been really deep and fun but the game was to easy for it to matter

    Super Neptunia RPG, como su nombre lo señala, es un JRPG en 2D con una de las historias más estúpida y superficial que me tocado experimentar en un videojuego del género.
    Comenzamos el juego encarnando a la protagonista, Neptunia, quien producto de la amnesia despierta en un mundo desconocido donde solo recuerda su nombre. Unos minutos después, descubrimos que el conflicto del juego se    Super Neptunia RPG, como su nombre lo señala, es un JRPG en 2D con una de las historias más estúpida y superficial que me tocado experimentar en un videojuego del género.
    Comenzamos el juego encarnando a la protagonista, Neptunia, quien producto de la amnesia despierta en un mundo desconocido donde solo recuerda su nombre. Unos minutos después, descubrimos que el conflicto del juego se basa en una organización malvada que tiene como objetivo eliminar de la faz de la tierra la existencia de los juegos en 3D, ya que los en 2D son demasiado geniales... sí, es ése el conflicto.
    Ahora, comprendo que el objetivo del juego es satirizar una serie de clichés que nos presentan las historias de juegos RPG, los personajes realizan constante alusión a estos clichés durante el desarrollo de la historia y la idea es generar situaciones graciosas o de humor, pero la verdad es que desde mi punto de vista eso no se logra, el humor que transmite el juego no me pareció para nada gracioso. Por otro lado, la protagonista es la típica adolescente japonesa gritona, rosada, superficial y que no se toma nada en serio, lo cual es algo que también vemos normalmente en estos juegos, pero en Neptunia el personaje es realmente molesto, tan molesto que al final de la historia adelanté muchos de los diálogos por la irrelevancia de la historia y lo molesto de la personalidad de la protagonista.
    El sistema de combate tampoco mejora la experiencia. Es confuso, el tutorial no se encuentra disponible en el menú, debes volver a la ciudad inicial para poder verlo de nuevo. Es, además, muy repetitivo y termina aburriendo. La dificultad tampoco es equilibrada, las primeras horas de juego son difíciles, sin embargo luego de activar ciertas habilidades, se torna extremadamente fácil, al nivel de que puedes matar algunos jefes o semi jefes de un solo golpe.
    Los controles son poco responsivos, muchas veces apreté el botón de saltar y el personaje simplemente no saltó.
    Los mapas también son confusos, son una especie de Hollow Knight, pero sin ningún orden lógico, por tanto es difícil encontrar algún lugar sin memorizar el camino correcto. Tampoco existen formas eficaces de transportarse entre las diferentes áreas.
    Creo que el único punto positivo de este título son los gráficos y el diseño de personajes que es bastante lindo, los fondos son agradables. La música cumple, no molesta, pero tampoco envicia.
    En conclusión, Super Neptunia RPG es un juego para el olvido. Pasaremos la mayor parte del tiempo intentando entender el sistema de batalla, usando el mismo hechizo una y otra vez, y tratando de memorizar lugares para poder volver en caso de necesitarlo en el futuro. No se lo recomiendo a nadie, es uno de los peores JRPG que me ha tocado jugar.    … Expand

Although much of the supporting cast from the previous games is absent, the main characters are fully realized in a story that brings their personalities to life in a fresh way. As someone who generally despises platform jumping, I had some trouble with the occasional platforming segments in the game but did not find them frustrating as they rarely presented a setback of more than a minute when I let Neptune fall into the void. The only real negatives here, in my opinion, are the general sluggishness of the engine running on Switch and a handful of crashes I observed after long program run times.… Expand

    Je penses que chacun a ses goûts, mais je suis très satisfait de ce jeu. Il y a beaucoup d'humour, l'histoire est intéressante. C'est une de mes belles découvertes de cette année !

    Super Neptunia RPG negates the positives that it brings about. The fresh perspective that comes from being a classic 2D RPG with a simple battle system clashes with the unintuitive and unresponsive platforming. The presentation is beautiful, but the performance is hampered when compared to its predecessors. The ability to explore also seems nice until you realize that the streamlined side-quest system has been replaced with the more time-consuming method of visiting each quest-giver individually. Fans of the series may still enjoy it.

    At the end of the day, Super Neptunia RPG does quite a few things differently than other titles in the series; a few that improve the experience, a few that make it more frustrating. For those who have previously enjoyed the tales of Neptune and her crew, it’s possibly worth a try, but for those uninitiated, this won’t create any new Nep Nep fans. While I went into this game excited to try a different type of Neptunia, it hardly held my attention for more than a half-hour at a time, requiring a lot more stamina and time than it should to complete a game that clocks in well under twenty hours.

    Despite its great performance issues, Super Neptunia RPG is a spin-off that offers a refreshing experience in the franchise, introducing us to an unprecedented and beautiful two-dimensional world that will not disappoint fans of the saga.
