Oct 31, 2019For this game to return to the old formula, it has started great. If the future entries of the mario party franchise follow this then nintendo is heading in the right direction. It is a little boring for playing a long time at a time (2-3 hours) But i had a lot of fun when family came around and played this. It just needs more boards, mini-games etc

Oct 27, 2019Love it! It's an amazing game!
I don't get why it's getting so much hate, it's clearly better than MP 1, 2, 4 and 7 (like duh) -

Oct 16, 2019at first the game seems great, but after 4 hours of gameplay you find out you have played all the boards. Nintendo is never going to make new dlc's - they have gotten greedy like with Mario kart Tour, and the games will show.... unfortunately.

Sep 21, 2019Like seriously, its been almost a year, and they added nothing into this unfinished game, like seriously? There is only 4 tiny maps, and you dont have any options to customize your game

Sep 16, 2019This game isn't bad, but it isn't good either. There are a very limited number of boards to play on, and the game itself feels largely luck based. There stars aren't even worth enough coins to make playing the minigames worthwhile. It's completely possible to lose every minigame and still win the overall game

Sep 8, 2019this game is fun with frends but the online is trash and its just one of awful axamples of nintendo switch online

Jul 22, 2019The Mario Party format will always make it a favorite for friends gathering together. However this was one of the few Nintendo Switch games that I felt did not live up to its predecessors. This game does not add anything of significance new to the series, and offers a disappointing 4 total maps. This iteration feels like its missing a significant DLC update.

Jul 22, 2019Actual fun mini games and fresh new ideas are what make the game enjoyable marking the first good mario party game in years. But main thing is shell shocked deluxe was added.
-
Jul 18, 2019Be prepared for brainless NPC's, time wasting animations, but aight minigames. It can be fun to play with 3 other humans, but only for so long. My favorite is the minigame-only mode.

May 12, 2019Um bom retorno a melhor serie de party de todas nos games. Jogos viciantes com belos graficos, o modo online eu enfrentei dificuldades de estabilidade fora isso o jogo cumpre o que promete.

Apr 9, 2019Its a return to classic Mario Party what else needs to be said?! Only problems i have is 1. not enough boards and 2. no online boards. however this game is a big step up from the last few and a giant step in the right direction for the series
9/10 -
Mar 4, 2019A decent but disappointing Mario Party game. The boards are meh, and there's only 4 of them. The game's items are also boring and it is too easy to get stars. The minigames are great though, and it does a better job at living up to the N64 Mario Party's than 10.

Feb 19, 2019Im incredibly dissapointed this is half finished this game has no multiplayer for the actual board game part of the game, thats so freaking disappointing its why i bought the game! come on!

Jan 23, 2019The mini games aren't fun and there's not even one ground pound mini game where can ground pound others.

Jan 12, 2019Super Mario Party is a game I thought would be one of my favorite games. It has really fun mini-games and great modes, but it has some problems. The online is laggy and some character dice blocks are overpowered. But Super Mario Party is still a joy to play.

Jan 2, 2019The character dices are not balancing well example. Wario. And this game has not much extreme boards and less board only 4? Seriously? than the other Mario party games. Kind of boring as well it makes me mad that the game is extremely luck. No using procons are handheld it needs to be more developed.

Mar 6, 2019Super Mario Party goes back to its roots and delivers just like it should. The vast number of different modes, really prevents any to shine the brightest, but the entire game is a small step back that greatly leaps forward. It makes us only more excited for the next entry. Something we haven't felt with the Mario Party series in ages...
-
CD-ActionFeb 13, 2019Both players and critics agreed that in the last couple of years Mario Party’s quality has been dropping. Nintendo decided to go for broke this time and I hope slapping “Super” in front of the title heralds the restart of the franchise, because SMP finally delivers what we expected. [12/2018, p.51]

Game World Navigator MagazineDec 21, 2018Complex and unpredictable board game, numerous mini-games and being able to play as your favorite character – those are the three pillars of Mario Party’s success. Neither of these elements was polished to perfection over the years, but together they offer a very enjoyable experience. [Issue#234, p.72]
