Oct 5, 2018If you are like me and only buying this game for online dont you can only play minigames and theres only 8 or so to play
-
Oct 10, 2018Only 4 maps and they're small and boring. It's insane for a $60 game. This game should have bigger boards, ability to customize your game. (20 coins per star, +1 blue, -1 red, etc)
-
Oct 5, 2018-Forced to use joycons? What about my pro controllers? Lame.
-Can't play in handheld. Why is this even on the Switch then?
-Can't play full game online.
-Only 4 maps and they're small and boring.
Shame on you, Nintendo. Shame. -

Oct 5, 2018-No Online Board game feature
-Nintendo Pushed their online service on us all and provide a lackluster online experience for this game with only 10 Mini games.
- 3/4 small playable boards -

Jan 24, 2020Hope you like repetitive bs, on the fewest boards in the series, in a game that has received no updates or support! It's super!
-
Jul 18, 2019Be prepared for brainless NPC's, time wasting animations, but aight minigames. It can be fun to play with 3 other humans, but only for so long. My favorite is the minigame-only mode.
-
Nov 8, 2019A lot of potential, poorly executed. Too little content, small boards and few game modes.

Oct 5, 2018No pro controller support. So I can't play a 4 player game with the controllers I have.

Mar 23, 2020Don't understand the hype, noticeably a step down from early titles, only 4 boards, doesn't explain the rules in VS battles, and stars are so cheap that it often becomes a game of who gets the best roll early on. Not really fun except for a few mini-games, definitely not worth 80CAD.

Nov 1, 2021Not enough maps you only get four that are recycled to make it seem like eight. There's mainly a bunch of mini games. Somehow this went from a Mario board game to a Mario themed mini game. It sucks its nothing like they used to be. I'll never buy another Mario party again
-
Jan 7, 2022What's that? You have a few friends over and want to play some Mario Party? Well I hope you like two player only because the game doesn't support any other controller apart from Joycons. What a load of ****
-
Oct 8, 2018Looks nice. Lacks substance. Not worth the price tag. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
-
Jan 23, 2019The mini games aren't fun and there's not even one ground pound mini game where can ground pound others.

Mar 6, 2019Super Mario Party goes back to its roots and delivers just like it should. The vast number of different modes, really prevents any to shine the brightest, but the entire game is a small step back that greatly leaps forward. It makes us only more excited for the next entry. Something we haven't felt with the Mario Party series in ages...
-
CD-ActionFeb 13, 2019Both players and critics agreed that in the last couple of years Mario Party’s quality has been dropping. Nintendo decided to go for broke this time and I hope slapping “Super” in front of the title heralds the restart of the franchise, because SMP finally delivers what we expected. [12/2018, p.51]

Game World Navigator MagazineDec 21, 2018Complex and unpredictable board game, numerous mini-games and being able to play as your favorite character – those are the three pillars of Mario Party’s success. Neither of these elements was polished to perfection over the years, but together they offer a very enjoyable experience. [Issue#234, p.72]
