    I was going to give this game a 9/10, but I have seen many people have given the game very bad marks althoufh they say they havent't played it. It is horrible how people can do this. I understand that people may not like it, but the game isn't bad, at least 7 or 8. So I give it 10/10 to try to compensate a bit of those unnecessary marks.

    This game is very good. It's fun, enjoyble and long, so long that in fact it never ends. When you finish the "Story" mode, you can create the levels you want in meny different styles with a lot of features many new ones. But also you can play unlimited amount of levels made by other people and with cooperative. This game is amazing. (Best with Nintendo Switch Online, to fully enjoy the game).    … Expand

    Hello, good morning y'all this is definitely an awesome game, it's almost perfect, and almost part is juts because depends on you, your imagination, your creativity, this is infinity, seriously, the music, the perfect control of Mario and each character, really really awesome, even i want to cry, just for beauty.

    Game fantástico, super criativo, muito bem feito e que vai te prender por muitas horas em frente da tela. Basicamente é a mesma ideia do MM1 onde o protagonista pela criação das fases é o próprio jogador. Além disso, as fases podem ser compartilhadas e jogadas por todos os jogadores do mundo. Simplesmente fantástico.

    Super Mario maker 2 has double the content that Super Mario maker 1, or even more, is simply a game that will give anyone hours and hours of fun and is a perfect sequel and not a port as many people say.

    I agree that the online multiplayer needs to be fixed (why are 4 player multiplayer switch games like this and Smash so laggy?), but it can't be overstated how much of a fan service this is for Mario fans. I grew up on the SNES and Super Mario World is one of the first games I remember playing and loving. I dare say this game is above and beyond the best 2D mario platformer that'sI agree that the online multiplayer needs to be fixed (why are 4 player multiplayer switch games like this and Smash so laggy?), but it can't be overstated how much of a fan service this is for Mario fans.     Deben mejorar el online, el resto es una maravilla, que si no fuera por el online se lleva mi 10, lo recomiendo, las mecánicas se mantienen solo que el timing cambian muy levemente, es un juego infinito.

    Lo que podrian poner más novedades y mejorar el modo online competitivo, que depende de algo que no se que es va muy mal. Compra obligada... porque el juego es literalmente infinito.

    I haven't tried making any courses yet but even the story mode is way better than New Super Mario Bros Deluxe.

    There are many superb levels made by users and it is useful that you can select difficulty. You do have to put up with a load of completely rubbish user levels too though.

    Well worth buying instead of new mario deluxe even of you dont plan to make your own courses

    Impressive what can be done with a pair of pipes and some goombas. It may take a few hours to build a decent level, but the result and the simplicity to create them is the best of the game. Of course if you are like me, more than playing the levels that the community has created than creating them, you will have a more challenging classic super mario with infinity of levels. Essential.

    A fun game that lets you express your creativity in many ways. A variety of tools have been introduced which makes it an improvement over the Wii U and 3DS games before it. A fun time to mess around. Nothing special but worth it if you have a creative mind. 8/10

    This is a huge improvement from the original wii u game. It introduces so many items we wanted like: slopes or online multiplayer (although it's incredibly mediocre sometimes).

    I'll be quite honest for a second, I didn't think I'd be sitting here writing a review of this game. Make no mistake, I enjoyed the short time I spent with the original "Super Mario Maker" back in 2015, but I'll be honest, I'm not one for level-creators and/or game creators like this. Even for how much I enjoyed a game like "Disney Infinity" that was heavily creation-based, I often ignoredI'll be quite honest for a second, I didn't think I'd be sitting here writing a review of this game. Make no mistake, I enjoyed the short time I spent with the original "Super Mario Maker" back in 2015, but I'll be honest, I'm not one for level-creators and/or game creators like this. Even for how much I enjoyed a game like "Disney Infinity" that was heavily creation-based, I often ignored the creation aspect and skipped to the main "story mode" in the game, if you will. To that effect, when "Super Mario Maker 2" was announced, I kinda just responded with the same thing I always say about games that aren't for me: "I'm happy for the fans that wanted it, but I probably won't get it." But as you may know, I'm a largely offline gamer that enjoys single-player campaigns/Story Modes in games, so when I heard "Super Mario Maker 2" had a Story Mode, my interest was piqued and I chose to play the game. Boy, am I glad I did.
    "Super Mario Maker 2" is rip-roaring fun, even if you're like me and don't often create levels. The main Story Mode won't take you very long to beat, but there's incredible mission variety here and a lot of missions to complete. I still had about 10 pages worth of jobs to complete once completing the Story Mode, and even near the end, I still felt like I was learning so many new things. For those in it for the building, however, the new tools and mechanics allow for much deeper and more polished levels, and while the addition of the "Super Mario 3D World" theme might seem like a minor thing, it actually adds a nice extra dimension to the gameplay, with several new Power-Ups and ways to control as well (you can long jump, wear the Cat Suit, AND drive a Koopa Car! I might just be nerding out a bit more than I should but that's awesome!). And beyond that, the game is visually dazzling, the controls feel smooth, and the game is simply oozing with creativity. Even in the levels you can access in the main Story Mode, which were just pre-created by Nintendo, this is one of those games where you can just feel the fun the developers had in making it. It's a joyful and stunning game that brings with it all the best aspects of the 2D (and 2.5D, for that matter) "Super Mario" games.
    I honestly can't complain about much with this game. "Super Mario Maker 2" more than exceeded my expectations, and even as someone that doesn't create a ton of levels or anything like that, I found that the game gave me more than plenty to do, expanded upon the first game amazingly, and reminded me why the "Mario" platformers are some of the most charming, inventive, and creative games ever made. if you haven't had the chance to play this yet, you're doing yourself a disservice. Make it a point to check out "Super Mario Maker 2," because regardless of whether or not you're a builder, you're gonna have a blast with this one.

    It's an awesome game but is kind of sad that it lacks some of the things that made the first Mario maker so special, like the mystery mushroom outfits, or the fly minigame... Even so, the Story is a great addition to the formula

The thing that I enjoy most about the story mode is how every level has been designed and created by Nintendo game designers, giving players to the opportunity to look into the works behind how Nintendo game designers make levels, whilst also learning about new mechanics that they never thought could work. The online mode is also a good feature to have, which allows players to be inspired to rise up to the top and make a world renowned level. The online mode is also good if you want to play people's levels on the fly, thanks to the fact that you could download levels. Overall, I can truly say is that this game is excellent. If you are looking for a game to express creativity, to get a grasp on game design or even just looking for a bit of fun, this is the game for you.… Expand

    This is a game that started out ok and got better over time. With new updates, like the Link power up addition and the recent inclusion of many power ups, this game has become a great time.

    However, the online is bad, because Switch Online really f**king sucks, and the paywall subscription crap is annoying

    The game editor works pleasantly as in the first game, what's more, it's been improved. It's easier to create levels, and lots of elements that weren't before have been added. But the most important thing is that new graphics inspired in Super Mario 3D world are available to create and play with, which are really delightful and ideal for a new super mario 2D game.
    The way yo can play levels created by the community works in the same way as in the first Mario maker. In addition, it's quite simple use filters in order to find what you're looking for, so you won't get lost. The only issue i find is that the browser is old fashioned. To look for a specific level it's necessary to introduce its ID. I reckon that we should be able to introduce the name of the levels we're searching for.
    One of the new things that caught my eye was the story mode. It's a great idea for those players who don't have an online subscription and for those who just like to exploit the whole game and enjoy the experience all the gamemodes bring. Moreover, Nintendo one more time has demonstrated that is the best company creating levels; all of them have top quality.
    The main problem this game has is its online mode, which is really disappointing. I don't understand why this service works so well in games like Splatoon 2 or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and works so bad in this one. Both competitive and cooperative modes are literally unplayable due to the lag. It's a pity that a gamemode with such a big potential are not able to play in proper conditions.    … Expand

    La posibilidad de crear tus propios mundos y a su vez tratar de obtener la victoria en el mapa de otras personas lo hace un juego con contenido casi ilimitado. Con la nueva inclusión de las carreras de ninjis y la posibilidad de usar a Link, han hecho que sea mucho mas divertido

    Super Mario Maker 2 has blown me away! I rate it out of 10 9.5. The reason for this is no ice flower, no 3D making and no help mode. The help mode is an idea made by me. You can turn it off by clicking on it. I enjoyed the 3.0 update very much. - Ollie aged 7

    The game is amazing and is a must have on the Switch. Firstly, the story mode is so addictive with each level and I really enjoyed working my way through it to rebuild the castle. You really have a sense of success after completing the castle. Secondly, and most importantly, the community is very nice. Being able to play so many creative levels and provide feedback is awesome.     As someone who's always loved level editors and admires game design, this is my childhood dream come true. I make my own levels in the Mario universe and it feels great. It is a fairly robust level editor when you consider the "simplicity" of the level design.

The inclusion of more tools and enemies like the on and off switches allow for interesting level concepts that couldn't of been achieved in the original. The new Story Mode has many levels made by Nintendo that will keep those don't want to play online levels occupied.     The best game for this console. Endless gameplay that gives the complexity that the player needs. You just start playing and after dozens of hours you realize that now you want to speedrun, and the game gives you this chance.

    Mario Maker 2 have everything that a player needs to make its own levels. Navigate thought the online courses and play what the other players did is absolutely satisfying, and be able to post your own level too. But the online menus are the problem, they lack tons of filter options, and because of that, really bad levels are more likely to appear.

    Super Mario Maker 2 is a very enjoyable game. With endless amounts of user levels and better than the first in almost every way, it is definitely worth full price. The story mode isnt amazing, and i found myself playing user levels 95% of the time

    Fun for hours. Local multiplayer could use some improvements. Online can get a bit laggy sometimes. Even with faulta it's a must own.

    Sin duda era necesario que apareciera también en Switch. las novedades que trae lo hacen bastante diferente.

    En este caso se siente mucho más variado y con un filtro mucho mejor para encontrarte niveles en la dificultad que prefieras, sobre todo en el Modo desafío, donde clarisimamente separará niveles muy dificiles de los muy fáciles, haciendo que estés cómodo con tu nivel de juego.    Sin duda era necesario que apareciera también en Switch. las novedades que trae lo hacen bastante diferente.

    En este caso se siente mucho más variado y con un filtro mucho mejor para encontrarte niveles en la dificultad que prefieras, sobre todo en el Modo desafío, donde clarisimamente separará niveles muy dificiles de los muy fáciles, haciendo que estés cómodo con tu nivel de juego.

    El tema que me sorprendió fue la posibilidad de jugar online, a modo cooperativo y competitivo, pero la lástima es que a día de hoy (2 meses después) aún no hayan dado indicios de solucionar los grandes problemas de Lag que sufre cada vez que juegas sea competitivo o sea cooperativo. La idea y el formato es bueno, pero técnicamente funciona muy mal a día de hoy, quizá la próxima actualización lo arregle, pero aún seguimos esperando.

    El punto negativo de salida fue que entre esos servicios online no estuviera el jugar con amigos, aunque anunciaron que estaría, así que no me molesto por ello hasta que actualicen.

    Por lo demás, los 4 estilos típicos con sus novedades siguen expandiendo las ideas y los diferentes niveles que se pueden crear y luego el estilo nuevo de Mario 3D World dando otra vuelta de tuerca con la esperanza, además, de que aparezcan más estilos diferentes.     Super Mario Maker 2 is a master piece. A game you can enjoy everywhere, anytime and forever. You can play all days and never finish the amount of levels there are published on the course world. It has very funny game modes in online and offline.

    Nothing really negative to mention.
    Sure there are some badly designed levels by users but you can just skip those if you are annoyed.
    The Multiplayer is horrible to play because of recurring lag spikes. So that's why it's only 9/10

    The amount of re-playability is off the charts. Story mode is a bonus. You will have hours and hours of fun creating your own levels and playing online levels from the community.

    It does what it says on the tin, my only issue with the game is that it is difficult to build levels in docked mode not impossible, but difficult.

    This is the definitive way to play mario, with infinite levels, i would always recommend this over super mario bros U deluxe.

    I was extremely hyped for this game, a sequel to one of the best Wii U games did it disappoint, Yes and No. Yes as in certain aspects like i was expecting just a bit more with the level creator not to say it was bad just not fantastic. No The story mode was way better than i thought.     A absolute must-but for the Switch. The addition of new themes and items are chosen perfectly. The story mode showcases almost everything the game can do. Overall, a Amazing Game. I could keep playing this game for hours on end.

    if only it didn't have so many limitations on it, it would be absolutely amazing.
    This game has inspired me to work on my own creative aspirations and to utilize digital platforms.
    As a creative gamer, i played 200 hours of this game, and almost entirely just in creative mode.

    Sin dudarlo, para mi el mejor juego que ha habido de Super Mario Bros en general. Los niveles hechos por la misma Nintendo pueden no ser tan perfectos como lo eran en Super Mario Bros 3 o Super Mario World. Pero te ayudan a comprender las mecanicas de los distintos juegos. Pero la perfección radica en los millones de niveles online que te dan horas y horas de disfrute.

The course maker lets you make levels exactly as you can imagine them, the more recent world maker allows you to create an entire Mario game. The online gives you an almost unlimited pool of courses, the multiplayer, however, is unbearable online and almost always has intense lag. NSOA must-have for any Switch owner. It takes the basics that its Wii U version set up and perfects them. The course maker lets you make levels exactly as you can imagine them, the more recent world maker allows you to create an entire Mario game. NSO takes the blame most of the time, but in my experience other online games such as Mario Kart and Smash Bros. work just fine most of the time. Sometimes there's lag, but that's rare.     优点太多说几个缺点。

    垃圾图太多，官方应该给一个自动撤销垃圾图的机制。不然很影响游戏体验。
    一张图不能只是点赞和点踩那么简单，应该加上分数。
    多人合作其实挺累赘了，建议下一款深度研究一下如何让玩家真正体会到合作的乐趣。

    Making Levels: Making levels is very good with very amount of items and other stuff they have. They were really right about; "Only your imagination is the limit".Tho the making is very good and fun the screen for it is very small to work with, luckly you can make the screen go very big by pressing the analog stick and a big con about the making is its horrible to switch over to items to the timer and other but you can solve that bye using it handheld and touching the screen.

    Online Play: This is a f*****g joke.

    Multiplayer (Local):Very nice, only good for the ones that are supposed to be played multiplayer.

    Other:If you love mario and platformers this is the best game for you. If you wanna have fun with this game play endless mode on normal diffeculty and beat the story mode for bonuses for hats and items and finally have nice and ambitious ideas for levels then make and send them to the internet    … Expand

    Super Mario Maker 2 is a great sequel with new features modes and better online, however with all of these positive features they ruined the game with some terrible handling. I’m referring to you the building levels feature the prime feature, it’s very hard and boring to control unlink the first game which was very easy. Speaking of charm this game doesn’t have any which is a bummer, also the amiibo costumes are gone. The reason is because now you can play up to 4 players which is amazing, but doesn’t make sense to remove the Amiibo Costumes Feature. Super Mario Maker 2 is an incredible game with its levels online and creativity, however the absence of The charm of the last game and the terrible way to build levels make the game go down a lot I just wish they forced more on the charm and building.     Nintendo will surely need to work on new artistic and mechanical styles to make its future 2D Mario games attractive, as Super Mario Maker 2 takes all the best from Super Mario Maker 1 and boosts the game with new options, a better interface, more customization, themes, night mode, interesting enemies and wraps the whole package with a fun new story mode and an online mode that even with its flaws, is competent.Super Mario Maker 2 offers the ultimate experience for Mario 2D fans and certainly yields much more fun than the 60$ what it is charged for.
