    It's a Splatoon game. What more do you want? Very high quality fast-paced brightly coloured shooter game with a cartoon touch. A great multiplayer game, and really fun to play with friends. 8/10!

    It was fine when it was the newest of it's series, but with Splatoon 3 in the scene, I have no reason to come back to it.

    Every positive review on this game is false. The weapon kits suck, camping is a bigger problem now more than ever, Grizzco doesn't work half the time, and the matchmaking is FAR worse! Nothing about this game is worth the stress or having to constantly put up with toxicity. The entire series needs to die, because nothing is getting better and Nintendo only cares about money.

    It's a really fun and time-losing game, but the downside is that Nintendo Switch Online is almost a must. You can play Nintendo Switch online without buying it, but it's not enough.

    Nice little game where you shoot squids with ink as a squid. Getting a kill feels satisfying and the campaign is also pretty nice. If you are looking to buy a splatoon game do not buy splatoon 3.

    I'll give this a 94%. This game is amazing! Trying out so many weapons is sweet! Playing Turf War is excellent because it gives you a good challenge on facing real players worldwide. I had lots of fun playing the story mode. When buying weapons, shoes, hats, and shirts, they can upgrade your character's stats. The Octo Expansion DLC provides a good challenge for me as well!

    Perfect example of Nintendos horrible online servers. Fun fact: they dont exist! This game uses P2P for online multiplayer which is horrible because the entire game dies if someone loses connection. I do like the new weapon types and the campaign is pretty fun but boring sometimes.

But this is only a small point of criticism. The main modes of the game are Turfwar and Ranked Battle, both are so much fun.     Besides from a lacklustre single player experience (disregarding Octo Expansion), and clunky controls for a shooter, which utilise motion controls to greatly improve your accuracy. This is the most fun shooter on the Switch.

    I can't even begin to list all of the bad things. I'm used to pretty much all Nintendo developed games being at least good enough. Not this time. I would like to meet the person who thought releasing this game wasn't an insult to every shooter ever made and recommend them a psychiatrist

    I'm an outlier, but this game just does not appeal to me. There are a lot of things that I really respect from the series like unique character designs, good music, and a pretty cool competitive community. I do think most people will really like this game and get a lot out of it, just not me personally.

    Splatoon 2 is a sequel in the same way pickles are a sequel to cucumbers. It doesn't do much different from the first game but does leave me feeling salty.

    It's a decent game, the story mode is okay and the multiplayer is okay.

    Suffice it to say that in order to get into the player search grid, you need to wait 5 minutes for unskippable news, and the search for the players themselves is now taking another 3 minutes. To play once, you simply wait a minimum of 8 minutes. And the single player mode in this game is rubbish.

    An original, fun third person shooter that is always fun to dip into every now and again.

    The only thing that stops me playing it more often is the amount of time it takes scrolling through conversations before being able to play .

    That said, it is always easy to find a match and I'm glad I own it.

Other than those flaws it's a great game as there are changes that either improves the franchise or makes it unique. The game has different weapons, it has salmon mode, you can change weapons in the lobby, it has different ranked modes, it has a rytham mini game, and the story isn't rehashed as it includes dlc and the first story was just about exploring the underground part of the city while the second story is about marie looking for calie. In conclusion, the game is great and while the voice chat may not be up to par, the game is still really fun unlike fortnite where I feel like I need voice chat to enjoy the game. The story and changes to the game are a welcome edition too and I love how it had more content at launch. People may say it's a rehash of splatoon 1 but I highly disagree.… Expand

    Ich stehe normalerweise überhaupt nicht auf Multiplayer-Spiele, aber Splatoon macht mir super Spaß, und ich liebe die Punk-Asthetik, auf die alles hinausläuft, und alle Spielmodi machen wirklich Spaß, außer dem Story-Modus.

    Very funny and nice game, although the story mode isnt the best and to get the 100% you have to complete the same level 9 times with diffrent weapons which is boring. In summary the game makes a lot of fun but the online mode insnt that great because its not ranked from skill or level, which makes it hard for new players to start.

    Splatoon 2 is an addictive, enjoyable game that attracts with its unconventional ideas in the shooters genre. It is an improved version of the first entry in the series, which already was a good game. It allures both young and mature gamers that can appreciate different aspects of the game.

    Splatoon第一代在Wii U上推出的时候，就喜欢上了这游戏的美术风格和音乐，但可惜当时并没有Wii U，所以苦等这么多年后，终于在Switch上得以圆梦。任天堂出品的FPS游戏自然是有着强烈的“老任味”，最传统的涂地模式，对FPS新手及其友好，即使是像我一样的“描边大师”也可以快乐的喷喷喷，每场比赛并不需要你疯狂的击杀对手，只是认真地涂地，就是在为自己队伍做贡献。任天堂再一次通过机制的创新，拓展了这一传统游戏类型的边界。当然，前面所说的“友好”也仅仅针对游戏前十几小时，10级之后开始“真格”比赛，面对各路高手，痛苦的晋级之路由此开始了，这也完美符合任天堂游戏上手容易精通难的特点。游戏所有武器都是现实世界各种物品的变形与组合，每把武器手感配合手柄的HD震动功能，精准地传递给玩家，我个人喜欢使用狙击枪，4K和中狙在蓄力以及击杀时，手柄给人的反馈是完全不一样的，其他武器也都有类似的差别，所以，在卡通的风格下，任天堂的开发人员是做了相当多的细节雕琢的，这也让休闲和硬核玩家，都能找到自己最适应的游玩方式。
    如果在对战中被打到血压飙升，还可以去打工（Salmon Run），和其他3名队友配合，给熊老板收集金鱼籽。打工根据潮水位置，昼夜情况也有着不同玩法，随着玩家段位提升，打工难度自然也会提高。
    要说缺点，可能FPS老手会对这个游戏嗤之以鼻吧，但对于我这种休闲玩家，最大的缺点就是自己菜（笃定）。任天堂服务器是不是“抽风”的确是最影响游戏体验的部分了，也是最为玩家诟病的部分，这一点，只能过年多给老任服务器烧高香了（笑）。    … Expand

    Both the single-player and multiplayer modes are great. Different weapons add great variety to the gameplay. One negative is that the maps and game modes change every two hours, so you might not be able to play the map/game mode you want.

It is a sequel to Splatoon so I can’t really praise the novelty of the core gameplay. But for those who haven’t played the original game, the idea of a multiplayer shooter where bullets are replaced by ink is certainly refreshing. It is not a typical team deathmatch though and in the main game mode called turf war, you are expected to cover the arena with paint. The other popular game mode is called salmon run, which is more of a teamplay mode and is as good as turf war. On paper, it should be a great game and the core game is pretty good. What ruined the experience for me though were some of the design decisions. Firstly, the game is a grindfest. There are many locked weapons, items which you can unlock by leveling up your character and it basically takes forever. Motion controls are not ideal, especially for a multiplayer shooter.

    Other than that, Splatoon 2 has a super cringe game hub where you can hang out, interact with people. Every time you launch the game, you have to spend a minute to skip through some dialogues between two characters, which I’ve found super annoying. Colorful makeup wears up fast and the game is not worth the price point.    … Expand

    El juego tien buenos gráficos, buena historia y jugabilidad. Sin embargo, el modo historia es corto, sin apenas rejugabilidad. De ahí para delante el juego es spam del Nintendo switch online. Por el precio del juego, el online ya podría ser gratis. El juegos es bueno, sí, pero si tienes switch online. Por eso, juegos como Asphalt 9, que son gratis, cumplen mejor su cometido.

    A game truly worthy of being a sequel to one of the best Wii U games of all time. It improves on so much, adding more weapons, stages hairstyles and so much more. In my opinion, the campaign in the first game was better, but this one is amazing as well.

    The game is good and original but the single player is a bit lackluster. I'm hoping in Splatoon 3 will have a bigger and more of an open world single player campaign. The multi-player is fun but I think it is too derivative of the first game... Still a good game but you may as well wait and get the 3rd game in a year.

    Salmon run isn’t always available, which kind of sucks. The only new rank mode in Splatoon 2 was clam blitz.     I think it’s silly that features like not being able to change weapons between matches had to be added in an update (though it was added early on, but still). The updates were fun to get though as eventually we got new weapons with completely new special and sub weapons as well as new stages.

    This game includes the option to change hairstyles and pants, which was something you could not change in the first game. I believe there are also more eye color options in this game as well. We also got even more hairstyles in an update later down the line.

    The single player is fine, though it’s nothing mind blowing. The final boss battle seemed a lot easier than the one from the first game, which was a little disappointing.

    Overall I continued to enjoy the splatfests like the previous game and I had lots of fun. Though I feel like it would have been nice for some more major updates.    … Expand

    Recomendación: No comprar el juego si no tienes Nintendo Switch Online

    Splatoon 2 displays updated graphics from the predecessor, a plethora of new weapons, a new game mode and a new battle mode keeping new fans and old fans alike interested in the game until the next release in the popular series. But even the most colourful vibes capturing a summer festival with friends from seasons past, UI changes and the removal of quality of life additions from Splatoon 1 may irate only the most dedicated of Splatoon players - Splatoon 2 offers a staple experience of classic Nintendo multiplayer games.

    In a short term: single player is fine for introducing weapons, but you buy this game for online.

    Single player: like i sed it fine for introducing weapons, but it gets repetitive and a bit boring, but boss fights are goood.     Its splatoon 1 but better. Everything from splatoon 1 is here but its better. The graphics are better and the subs and weapons are more complex. Ranked modes are more fun and more polished. The netcode could be better, people are bouncing all over place.

    Overall a great game. Colourful graphics and a very catchy soundtrack. The online is particularly addictive especially if a ‘Splatfest’ is on. This is a Nintendo game though so the online is nowhere near as good as it should be. No voice chat (unless you want to use an app) and for the main multiplayer you can only play 2 maps which then change every 2 hours. Just some improvements toOverall a great game.     Splatoon 2 is such a damn good game that literally no one talks about and I won't stand for it any longer. It's totally a kids game but it's so inventive and creative and fun and everything works so well. The replayability isn't there for me because of no achievements/trophies but I had an absolute blast running through this game once and dabbling with the multi player.     This game is basically dead. Waiting time is longer that the match and there is no matchmaking. Its not worth any money, I'm not even sure if anyone would play it for free.

    Splatoon 2 furthers the charming world of Splatoon with some great new content, but after I completed its lackluster base story mode and played it enough, I became pretty sick of its once fun game modes and combat.

    I have to say I’m truly disappointed... when I got my switch earlier this year (finally) I was thinking about getting this game. The more I played my switch I was more and more interested in Splatoon... so I finally bought it... it is extremely fun however I literally get lose connection 80 percent of the time...     It's a funny game, but it gets repetitive very fast. Where as most fps/tps games have varying game modes to keep the game fresh, splatoon 2 doesn't.

    This game is aimed at a very specific audience, which I am seemingly not part of.

    I didn’t give this game much of a chance, but the motion controls weren’t for me, despite being a fan of competitive online gaming. I’m sticking to Tetris 99 and Rocket League. :)

    Controls are great, map design is great, campaign is not too bad, and the weapons are fun and unique **** buckets though).

    It's so intuitive because the bright colours instantly give away which team controls which part of the map : this allows for fast-paced tactical gameplay and a consistent flow.
    The classes are intelligently designed and feel right at their place and role.
    The game is very polished and it obviously feels like it.
    It's also a console shooter that recquires no auto-aim, thank you gyro-aiming.    … Expand

The problems I had with the original game were the verity and balance of the guns, the bland characters, and lack of special abilities. Splatoon 2 fixes all of them. They added sloshers and umbrellas and balenced the rest of the guns. Marina is my favorite character in video game history and pearl is good too. The added more abilities than just ink armor and multiple bombs. To go along with it salmon run is great even though you can’t always play it. Splatoon is by far my favorite switch game and one of my all time favorites.… Expand

    Most of the issues that I have with this game is due to Nintendo Switch Online. Other than that it’s a great game, although the single player offerings are not that great.

    Love: gameplay, weapons, power ups, snipers have limited range (!!!), swimming, Super jumping, booyah-ing! Splatfests, clam blitz    The perfect game! I was so addicted to this game and played it for almost 2 years and definitely the most hours spent (200+). Although after the Splatfest ended, I kind of moved on. If you're looking for a challenge, the Octo Expansion DLC is available for purchase, offering a much harder campaign, new story, items, and more.

    This game is amazing. The single player is great, salmon run is great all the modes are great, definetly reccomend. Only one thing in this game holds it back from being 10/10. No split screen multiplayer. I can't sit dowwn and play turf war with my sister. I have to take turns and its annoying. Still reccomend buying though

    It’s not perfect, but it’s a great game. The gameplay is really unique, but there are a few things that fans wanted fixed from the first game that they didn’t fix in the second, like skippable news. However, these complaints aren’t actually that bad, and I think the actual gameplay balances out the couple of minor flaws.

    I LOVE this game. This is everything I wanted in a more kid friendly shooter. I love the gameplay. There are so many cool weapons to choose from. There a single player mode but I don't really like it. Lots of stuff you can wear. I also think the squids are cute :). However Switch Online is needed to play most of the game. Other then that this is a great game. Worth the buy.

    Though never fun in real life, spilling ink all around is even more fun in Splatoon 2 than it was in the first game. Teaming up with your squid friends has never been better. But even though some weird Nintendo elements can drag the fun to a stall, everywhere that Splatoon 2 shines makes it a deserving heir to the original.
