    It's a Splatoon game. What more do you want? Very high quality fast-paced brightly coloured shooter game with a cartoon touch. A great multiplayer game, and really fun to play with friends. 8/10!

    It's a really fun and time-losing game, but the downside is that Nintendo Switch Online is almost a must. You can play Nintendo Switch online without buying it, but it's not enough.

    I'll give this a 94%. This game is amazing! Trying out so many weapons is sweet! Playing Turf War is excellent because it gives you a good challenge on facing real players worldwide. I had lots of fun playing the story mode. When buying weapons, shoes, hats, and shirts, they can upgrade your character's stats. The Octo Expansion DLC provides a good challenge for me as well!

    Perfect example of Nintendos horrible online servers. Fun fact: they dont exist! This game uses P2P for online multiplayer which is horrible because the entire game dies if someone loses connection. I do like the new weapon types and the campaign is pretty fun but boring sometimes.

    Splatoon 2 is a very good game! The moveset is easy to learn and the gameplay is just great! The single-player campaign is the same as in Splatoon 1, even the story is almost the same. But this is only a small point of criticism. The main modes of the game are Turfwar and Ranked Battle, both are so much fun. Also the newly added mode: Salmon Run is innovative and has interesting enemies.Splatoon 2 is a very good game! The moveset is easy to learn and the gameplay is just great!     Besides from a lacklustre single player experience (disregarding Octo Expansion), and clunky controls for a shooter, which utilise motion controls to greatly improve your accuracy. This is the most fun shooter on the Switch.

    A continuation of my favorite game, almost everything is wonderful in it, if not for the change of idols, which of course is connected with the plot, but this will not solve the problem

    An original, fun third person shooter that is always fun to dip into every now and again.

    The only thing that stops me playing it more often is the amount of time it takes scrolling through conversations before being able to play .

    That said, it is always easy to find a match and I'm glad I own it.

    This game is great. Better than the first splatoon game. It may not have the wii u controls or the jumping mini game but everything splatoon 1 did splatoon 2 did better. I could also say that with the story mode while it's nice to use multiple weapons unlike the first game, it didn't work out as well as it should've like some of the levels are only well designed for one weapon due to the nature of the story with marie wanting you to try out different weapons so after you beat the game, you can use whatever weapon you want which sounds good but the weapon may not work well with the level. Other than those flaws it's a great game as there are changes that either improves the franchise or makes it unique. The game has different weapons, it has salmon mode, you can change weapons in the lobby, it has different ranked modes, it has a rytham mini game, and the story isn't rehashed as it includes dlc and the first story was just about exploring the underground part of the city while the second story is about marie looking for calie. In conclusion, the game is great and while the voice chat may not be up to par, the game is still really fun unlike fortnite where I feel like I need voice chat to enjoy the game. The story and changes to the game are a welcome edition too and I love how it had more content at launch. People may say it's a rehash of splatoon 1 but I highly disagree.… Expand

    Ich stehe normalerweise überhaupt nicht auf Multiplayer-Spiele, aber Splatoon macht mir super Spaß, und ich liebe die Punk-Asthetik, auf die alles hinausläuft, und alle Spielmodi machen wirklich Spaß, außer dem Story-Modus.

    Very funny and nice game, although the story mode isnt the best and to get the 100% you have to complete the same level 9 times with diffrent weapons which is boring. In summary the game makes a lot of fun but the online mode insnt that great because its not ranked from skill or level, which makes it hard for new players to start.

    Splatoon 2 is an addictive, enjoyable game that attracts with its unconventional ideas in the shooters genre. It is an improved version of the first entry in the series, which already was a good game. It allures both young and mature gamers that can appreciate different aspects of the game.

    Splatoon第一代在Wii U上推出的时候，就喜欢上了这游戏的美术风格和音乐，但可惜当时并没有Wii U，所以苦等这么多年后，终于在Switch上得以圆梦。任天堂出品的FPS游戏自然是有着强烈的“老任味”，最传统的涂地模式，对FPS新手及其友好，即使是像我一样的“描边大师”也可以快乐的喷喷喷，每场比赛并不需要你疯狂的击杀对手，只是认真地涂地，就是在为自己队伍做贡献。任天堂再一次通过机制的创新，拓展了这一传统游戏类型的边界。当然，前面所说的“友好”也仅仅针对游戏前十几小时，10级之后开始“真格”比赛，面对各路高手，痛苦的晋级之路由此开始了，这也完美符合任天堂游戏上手容易精通难的特点。游戏所有武器都是现实世界各种物品的变形与组合，每把武器手感配合手柄的HD震动功能，精准地传递给玩家，我个人喜欢使用狙击枪，4K和中狙在蓄力以及击杀时，手柄给人的反馈是完全不一样的，其他武器也都有类似的差别，所以，在卡通的风格下，任天堂的开发人员是做了相当多的细节雕琢的，这也让休闲和硬核玩家，都能找到自己最适应的游玩方式。
    如果在对战中被打到血压飙升，还可以去打工（Salmon Run），和其他3名队友配合，给熊老板收集金鱼籽。打工根据潮水位置，昼夜情况也有着不同玩法，随着玩家段位提升，打工难度自然也会提高。
    要说缺点，可能FPS老手会对这个游戏嗤之以鼻吧，但对于我这种休闲玩家，最大的缺点就是自己菜（笃定）。任天堂服务器是不是“抽风”的确是最影响游戏体验的部分了，也是最为玩家诟病的部分，这一点，只能过年多给老任服务器烧高香了（笑）。    … Expand

    Both the single-player and multiplayer modes are great. Different weapons add great variety to the gameplay. One negative is that the maps and game modes change every two hours, so you might not be able to play the map/game mode you want.

    A game truly worthy of being a sequel to one of the best Wii U games of all time. It improves on so much, adding more weapons, stages hairstyles and so much more. In my opinion, the campaign in the first game was better, but this one is amazing as well.

    The game is good and original but the single player is a bit lackluster. I'm hoping in Splatoon 3 will have a bigger and more of an open world single player campaign. The multi-player is fun but I think it is too derivative of the first game... Still a good game but you may as well wait and get the 3rd game in a year.

    I think it’s silly that features like not being able to change weapons between matches had to be added in an update (though it was added early on, but still). The updates were fun to get though as eventually we got new weapons with completely new special and sub weapons as well as new stages.

    This game includes the option to change hairstyles and pants, which was something you could not change in the first game. I believe there are also more eye color options in this game as well. We also got even more hairstyles in an update later down the line.

    The single player is fine, though it’s nothing mind blowing. The final boss battle seemed a lot easier than the one from the first game, which was a little disappointing.

    Overall I continued to enjoy the splatfests like the previous game and I had lots of fun. Though I feel like it would have been nice for some more major updates.    … Expand

    Splatoon 2 displays updated graphics from the predecessor, a plethora of new weapons, a new game mode and a new battle mode keeping new fans and old fans alike interested in the game until the next release in the popular series. But even the most colourful vibes capturing a summer festival with friends from seasons past, UI changes and the removal of quality of life additions from Splatoon 1 may irate only the most dedicated of Splatoon players - Splatoon 2 offers a staple experience of classic Nintendo multiplayer games.

    What can you say, it's pretty much just Splatoon 1 but with way more content. Octo expansion is the icing on the cake. Aside from minor balance issues that come with all games like this, Splatoon 2 is one hunky game.

    Its splatoon 1 but better. Everything from splatoon 1 is here but its better. The graphics are better and the subs and weapons are more complex. Ranked modes are more fun and more polished. The netcode could be better, people are bouncing all over place.

This is a Nintendo game though so the online is nowhere near as good as it should be. No voice chat (unless you want to use an app) and for the main multiplayer you can only play 2 maps which then change every 2 hours. Just some improvements toOverall a great game.     Splatoon 2 is such a damn good game that literally no one talks about and I won't stand for it any longer. It's totally a kids game but it's so inventive and creative and fun and everything works so well. The replayability isn't there for me because of no achievements/trophies but I had an absolute blast running through this game once and dabbling with the multi player.     Controls are great, map design is great, campaign is not too bad, and the weapons are fun and unique **** buckets though).

    The game is as much about murdering your ennemies by drowning them in your ink as it is about controlling territory by spraying everything.
    It's so intuitive because the bright colours instantly give away which team controls which part of the map : this allows for fast-paced tactical gameplay and a consistent flow.
    The classes are intelligently designed and feel right at their place and role.
    The game is very polished and it obviously feels like it.
    It's also a console shooter that recquires no auto-aim, thank you gyro-aiming.    … Expand

The problems I had with the original game were the verity and balance of the guns, the bland characters, and lack of special abilities. Splatoon 2 fixes all of them. They added sloshers and umbrellas and balenced the rest of the guns. Marina is my favorite character in video game history and pearl is good too. The added more abilities than just ink armor and multiple bombs. To go along with it salmon run is great even though you can’t always play it. Splatoon is by far my favorite switch game and one of my all time favorites.… Expand

    Most of the issues that I have with this game is due to Nintendo Switch Online. Other than that it’s a great game, although the single player offerings are not that great.

    With much better graphics, more modes, tons of new features, and much more, this game is easily worth the price-point in my book. While the game's focus is its multiplayer, there is a single-player campaign. Although the campaign in Splatoon 2 isn't as great as the first, it still offers a fun experience that isn't too difficult. If you're looking for a challenge, the Octo Expansion DLC is available for purchase, offering a much harder campaign, new story, items, and more.

    De los mejores juegos de NIntendo Switch, divertidisimo y adictivo, sus modos de juego quedan a la perfeccion con el juego, su online va bien. Y con la llegada del DLC el juego da para muchas horas

    This game is amazing. The single player is great, salmon run is great all the modes are great, definetly reccomend. Only one thing in this game holds it back from being 10/10. No split screen multiplayer. I can't sit dowwn and play turf war with my sister. I have to take turns and its annoying. Still reccomend buying though

Three years in, Splatoon 2 still has an outstanding community, and I spend many hours playing Salmon Runs and Regular Battles (I don't feel quite ready for Ranked and League Battles yet). The game isI never had the chance to play the original Splatoon. As soon as I bought the Nintendo Switch, Splatoon 2 was one of the games at the top of my wishlist. And boy, am I happy that I bought it.     It’s not perfect, but it’s a great game. The gameplay is really unique, but there are a few things that fans wanted fixed from the first game that they didn’t fix in the second, like skippable news. However, these complaints aren’t actually that bad, and I think the actual gameplay balances out the couple of minor flaws.

    I LOVE this game. This is everything I wanted in a more kid friendly shooter. I love the gameplay. There are so many cool weapons to choose from. There a single player mode but I don't really like it. Lots of stuff you can wear. I also think the squids are cute :). However Switch Online is needed to play most of the game. Other then that this is a great game. Worth the buy.

    Its a nice onlinegame, but in this Game is no anti-cheat, needs a very good Internetconnection and its laggy. For 20€ or $ in a year its to bad. BUT in Splatoon2 are a lot of gear and Weapons and thats a big + for Splatoon2. The fights are different to other shooters. I like this game and I have 400h played this game. It's a must have for NSO users!

    8,7 Uno de los imprescindible del catálogo de Switch, gameplay muy original y divertido, gran banda sonora, gran variedad de arma y de rachas. Lo que lastra es este juego es que solo puedes jugar 2 mapas cada 2 horas y que hay una escasez de modos de juegos.

    Je viens de me le prendre cette semaine et je comprend pourquoi beaucoup de joueurs y ont passé des centaines d'heures dessus. C'est un jeu tellement rafraîchissant. Et je pense même qu'ils ont eu raison de ne pas activer le local sur un écran car divisé en 2,ca doit bien être chiant à jouer.

    Multiplayer needs to be better. I want to be on my friend's team; not their opponent. Great and fun shooter game though. Great graphics, nice sounds.

    This is game is really fun to play. I completed the single player missions and played a bunch of online matches and it doesn't get boring. It could have been my favourite game on the Switch, but unfortunately there are some weird decisions that hold this great game back:

    -You can't save your progress online. They say it's to prevent cheating, but they don't seem to care as much about people who just want to have a backup in case their console breaks or gets lost.
    -You always have to watch an unskippable cutscene each time you start the game which just gets annoying.
    -Playing with friends is unnecessarily complicated. You have to join a friend's current game and wait for a free slot. Or everyone has to reach Level 10 and then rank B- to create a team. Or you play offline where each player needs their own console and game.
    -When you play the co-op missions you get random weapons instead of being able to choose one which makes them more frustrating than they need to be.
    -Getting ability chunks and Super Sea Snails takes much longer without Splatfests and those stopped happening regularly in July of last year. This makes progression much slower.
    That said, I still love playing it. The graphics are great, the music is super catchy and the levels are well designed. If there ever will be a Splatoon 3, I hope it's just more of this without the flaws.    … Expand

    Llevo más de 1500 horas de juego tan sólo en el multijugador en línea. Me parece un juego bastante creativo y entretenido. Te da mucha autonomía, incluso cuando a veces requieres de otros jugadores de tu equipo, el reto está en cargar con él.

    nintendo's new IP did it again, folks, the multiplayer can be casual, fun, competitive, COOP mode Salmon run is tons of fun with friends, and singleplayer is really entertaining, the SplatFests, events that don't happen anymore were amazing.

I´ve never played the original Wii U game, but the octopus/squid universe it´s so funny and colorful. Story mode is interesting and long enough, but really prefer the online mode.     Super fun and I love to play with friends. Fun game. Awesome 3D. The octo expansion pack is a nice thing too that makes it like a regular video game where you can earn cool skins.

    Splatoon 2 is a great successor to the previous installment in this franchise and is tons of fun to play. This is one of the best casual 'shooters' on the market, and if you like Nintendo and shooters, you are bound to love this game.

    I gave this game a 9 and not a ten because there is actually technically nothing wrong with the game it has great graphics fun a multiplayer a story mode which is great for getting into the game, the weapon and clothing options/customization are some of the best i have seen in any game and salmon run is just an amazing addition. Having said that my main complaints are the multiplayer matchmaking system as of now Feb 29 2020 24 multiplayer maps which is more than enough but the system of choosing stages is flawed where in you will randomly get selected one of two stages which are randomly generated over 2 hours which means everyday your favorite stage will be on once but that does not mean you will get to play it as when it is on you could be at school, work or literally anything i think they should do the same stage selection as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe where every race you will get 3 new stages to chose from and if you do not like them you can always choose random this is good because if you do not like the 2 stages that have been chosen you basically cant play for 2 hours which is just Nintendo hurting its own player count also same with the ranked modes which there are 4 which you should just be able to choose your preferred mode and also there is no reason that salmon run should be open 24/7. There are also many things i would add that would make this game one of the best but that is not the fault of the game it is just something i would add to the next one.… Expand

    I consider this game more of a port with some new stuff. but it's fair since when Splatoon 1 came out the Wii U was already a dead console. I have had a lot of fun with this game, though leveling up is slow but still rewarding. I also really enjoyed the new mode, Salmon Run. If you have a Switch you should get this game.

I will note, however, that the story campaign is comparatively lackluster when held up to the first game's - if you want a singleplayer experience from Splatoon 2, buying the OctoSplatoon 2 is, in essence, a decently modified version of Splatoon 1 from the WiiU - and really, as a game that was already one of the greatest multiplayer shooter games of all time, that's all it needs to be.     Possibly the funnest switch game. Very colorful and goofy with crisp and vibrant graphics, excellent music and audio and solid controls. Excellent mix of platforming and shooting! SUPER FuN!

    Splatoon 2 is a fun, fast paced multiplayer game that encourages teamwork. Ironically, the game also makes it rather difficult to play with your friends, let alone team up with them in its competitive multiplayer matches.

    Though never fun in real life, spilling ink all around is even more fun in Splatoon 2 than it was in the first game. Teaming up with your squid friends has never been better. But even though some weird Nintendo elements can drag the fun to a stall, everywhere that Splatoon 2 shines makes it a deserving heir to the original.
