Overall, despite the framerate and low resolution in handheld mode, I still consider this to be a great port. It would be nice if a performance mode is added, however. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with the work Saber Interactive has done here, and am thankful for the opportunity to play Spintires on the go.

With Farming Simulator having no-showed Switch in 2018, it falls to Spintires: MudRunner - American Wilds to fill that very niche gap. While it’s still got some frustrating design faults that have carried over from the previous version, Saber Interactive has kept the core experience intact. The addition of the lush and verdant American wildness helps break up the dreary back roads of Russia, and whether you’re delivering logs on your own or fixing and refilling trucks in multiplayer, there’s a bizarre yet moreish satisfaction to be had. Now, when are we getting Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Switch?

Never thought that this game could erase my will for ETS2 or ATS on NSW, but now I don't need it, Mudrunner is simply more fun, totally love this game! Full Review »

Got this game not knowing what to expect. I'm not really into this kind of sim games, but saw a few videos online and decided to give it a go.
And boy am I glad I did.
First, the graphics are amazing, the way the trucks are modeled, how the water, mud and environment reacts is a sight to behold. Really surprise the Switch can pull this off even if on handheld resolution appears to take a hit in some situations. Framerate is stable with very minor hiccups.
And most importantly, the trucks drive and react as they would do in real life. The physics are just incredible and has a nice amount of options to control your trucks.
The challenge missions are short and act as an extended tutorial, even though in free play some additional variety to objectives would have been nice.
Some background music (as in the tutorial) would be appreciated though.
