This is one of those games that comes around once in a while to remind you of the beauty of the human spirit and us as a civilization in general, full of faults, art, emotions, and memories.

It's gameplay isn't advanced or complicated, but it is enjoyable to play and does not overstay its welcome as it is a short game you can complete in about 2 - 3 hours. It is mostly finding and observing pieces of lost memories from people of the past as the game takes place 300 years in the future(not a spoiler) when mankind is struggling to survive. This game would likely have become repetitive if it was not the length that it was.

The graphics are simple but crisp and clear, like a nice comic book, with bold black lines and an endearing aesthetic. It's art style reminds me of a Saturday morning cartoon from the early 2000's. It's very pleasant and not overly childish.

The lore and story present in here is always very....present as you proceed. You find out tons about the state of the world and of the lives of some select individuals from the past as well as nods to pop culture and some well utilized tech speak. You could tell a lot of thought went into this. Yet more so when it comes to the human interactions and the dialogue. I have to say. It's beautiful how life like and fun these characters talk and interact. There's humor, heartbreak, sadness, joy, and difficulty all present here. You really start to care about each character and what they went through, or what they are going through. This game gave me some well-earned laughs, some insight, and it even had me in tears later on. It's a beautiful game with a warm and caring message as well as a look into just people. I can tell though it tries its best to focus on the best of us and what we can do with it, even the tough moments. I can almost call it trying to be feel-good while not holding back any punches when it comes to the sadness of moments.

So overall, as a piece of art, this game wins in my book. It's not so much a game to get roped up in gameplay, but an almost offshoot "point-and-click" kind of format with very little puzzle-solving, if really any, and more of an objective memory collector that makes you love the world more and more with every new piece of intel.

It is priced at $12.99, so if you feel like that is too much for a 2-3 hour game, I say wait for sale. But if you want a quick but beautiful little experience that will stick with you, then by all means, get it. I say it's worth the price based on the work that went into the game.
