    This is a game that looks and plays much better in docked mode. When you're hooning around a busy Paris or Miami street, looking for that next pick-up or tight turn on the horizon, the extra resolution and detail really helps.

    The core experience of playing Snakeybus is amusing but fleeting. There are scoreboards for each level, but I suspect for most the experience isn’t grabbing enough at its foundation to justify trying to challenge those at the top. The soundtrack is mellow like that lo-fi hip hop beats to study to YouTube channel, but it becomes redundant quickly. Levels are a bright spot in their diversity in both the locales and how well each of them has their own sense of verticality/layering of lanes to drive in. If you’re looking for a breezy unique twist on a classic game, Snakeybus can provide a few hours of mild humor.

    Snakeybus is the best kind of combo. You have a bus that looks like a train and moves and controls like a snake. Sounds complicated, right?Snakeybus is the best kind of combo. You have a bus that looks like a train and moves and controls like a snake. Sounds complicated, right? Well... no. The main premise of this game is simple to wrap your head around but still fun to play. The controls may seem complicated or rushed at first, but you quickly get used to them. The basic gameplay loop is that you drive around different maps, varying in design, theme and even art style. You unlock more maps and buses as you gain more points. This is a nice little incentive, as it’s not too hard to rack up points fast. You acquire points by picking up passengers from bus stops scattered around the map, and then dropping them off at a certain destination. You can smash random things, jump on top of buildings and monorails, and the longer you play, you sort of create your own mini-level as your snake bus works it’s way all around the level. Although the initial variety is nice, this may become boring for some people rather fast. This was not the case with me however, as the calming music and slow paced, mellow gameplay made this one of my favorites. The gameplay loop didn’t feel too repetitive for me since every playthrough - Playthrough? Is it playthrough? Round? Match? Game? Round I guess. - Is different. I would say it definitely depends on the types of games you like, but if any of this sounds interesting to you, I would definitely reccomend giving this game a go.… Expand

While it is that, essentially, the controls are obviously unfinished with some occasionally hilarious glitches. On the whole, it is virtually nothing more than a handful of unlockable buses and courses. After that, it’s just an arcade game with online leaderboards, which might be simple enough according your tastes.… Expand

    The point is to increase the length of your bus. Increasing the length of your bus tanks your framerate and causes lag. If that doesn’t make you crash your bus, well, the game will just crash for you.

    If you’re any good at the game, it takes like 10 minutes tops on any level for it to become unplayable. As soon as I got a few levels in, I was decent enough at it that I basically couldn’t play any more.

    Thankfully I got it on sale, because it was kinda fun but definitely isn’t worth even $5.    … Expand
