Solid plort! Smooth frame rate and all the content you'd expect. Kind of a marvel how well this plays.

I was waiting for Slime Rancher on the Switch for a long time, so when the opportunity finally came I bought it the day it released without a second thought.

Slime rancher is a farming simulator and exploration game. You explore a huge world, gather up cute little slimes, give them food and toys, and harvest and sell these things called "plorts" that the slimes give off when they eat something. The gameplay is simple, but gets addictive quickly, and there are a lot of things waiting to be discovered in the beautifully detailed world.

I'm sure many people would be wondering how the game performs generally, and for the most part it runs pretty well. Yes, there are places where the framerate dips, and it will start to perform poorly when you have tons of different slimes and upgrades on your farm. If you don't mind a poorer framerate or really want the portability, then Slime Rancher will be great for you on the Switch. If you don't care about the portability, or really want the framerate to be as high and consistent as possible, it would be better to get another version.

As a whole, Slime Rancher is just a fantastic game. It's enjoyable to take in everything in the world, from the different slimes and the unique environments to the games characters and story. It's cute and charming, and I love it.

Really fun, and pretty addictive. Definitely the best FPS/Farm-Sim/Exploration game I've played this year.

The framerate really begins to struggle once your farm reaches a certain size, though. If you can play it on another platform, I recommend doing that; but I still had a fantastic time with it on Switch. Sounds design is wonderful, music is super-cool, and there whole experience is

Such a fun game! I recommend this portal version on switch, these harvest-craft-explore games are perfect when traveling or waiting for something. Hours just pass and I want to play and play and play.

So I was hoping this game would come to the switch eventually, since I already have it on Steam but I don't have the greatest laptop to be able to actually run it so I wouldn't play it much because my laptop would struggle with it for long periods of time.
Overall I, of course, love this game! it's the whole reason I've paid for it twice now lol, but the biggest complaint I have that I've

Overall I, of course, love this game! it's the whole reason I've paid for it twice now lol, but the biggest complaint I have that I've seen no one else mention is that slimes will randomly disappear, specifically puddle and fire slimes do this and there is no rhyme or reason for it; As you can imagine this is extremely irritating since then I have to then go back out to grab more when I shouldn't have to do that in the first place. I haven't seen any other mention of this when I've tried to look into it and I can only hope this is some fluke bug that gets fixed eventually but for now it just makes me upset since this keeps happening, I've never had this problem on PC so I would assume this is a Switch specific issue.

The good old slime rancher is now in your pocket. From the first look at the switch, I wanted to see a slime rancher on it and it finally happened, but the performance is quite low in portable mode.

Always wanted this on the switch. It's an amazing and relaxing game. And this is a good port.. I have it on all 4 platforms now. :D

I really like this port, it is now portable, meaning you can play it everywhere you go, it runs smoothly and is really fun! The framerate quickly goes down once you reach a certain amount of slimes on your ranch, which kind of makes the game annoying, but I love it!

The slimes are adorable, it is a open world game, you exploit cute creatures for monetary gains, awesome.

Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition is a perfect combination of adventure, management, and cuteness that is addicting in the way all the best management sims are, but still brings a lot of originality to the genre. It’s relaxing and a must-play on Switch for any wholesome gamers.

Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition is a title that doesn’t do the game justice. This isn’t a stripped-back Nokia N-Gage version of a grand game, this is the real deal, and it’s blinkin’ marvellous. Farming Slimes, exploring the world, getting frustrated at the price of Crystal Plorts never going up, it’s a dense and wondrous experience. Having to travel so much on foot stops it from achieving extreme greatness, but it’s not enough to stop us giving this a hearty recommendation.
