    This game is a solid port of the main imaginators story while removing the racing game bundled in other consoles, it however adds use of the HD rumble feature which makes the combat great and you can save your skylanders onto the console itself so you can play it on the go, a feature they borrowed from previous titles on the 3ds ports.

    Skylanders Imaginators for the Switch relies much on its previous versions and while it does attempt to help the Switch increase in sales, people should be aware that Skylanders Imaginators works better on other consoles rather than the Switch itself.

    American living in Norway. English is the official second language here. Bought the game and realized it has five language options. English isn't one of them.

    Violent Game Too Much Fighting Not for Under 6 age children. Easy Level very Difficult Not for Early Gamers. Beautiful Environment, Nice Music, Fun Funny Imaginator Creator Characters can be built from given build parts boards best part is The Creation Figures. Over all very disappointed with how difficult the game it to play and how the rewards are all wrapped around Characters this timeViolent Game Too Much Fighting Not for Under 6 age children.     For a release game, this was very solid and lots of fun.

    There was no Mario or equivalent available at the launch of the Nintendo Switch, so I bought all the release titles. Skylanders Imaginator was surprisingly lots of fun, having never played a Skylanders game I was going in blind. The appearance of spyro hit my nostalgic buttons also. Running, Jumping and slashing, thrown in with    For a release game, this was very solid and lots of fun.

    As the last Skylanders game, this leaves a lot to be desired. The game hasn't really changed in half a decade.

    Decent with the cool premise of creating your characters, but is not well polished and did not have the magic that made the other games special, especiallly because you cant use the portal in the Switch version, the main point that the other games were based on, and made up for the kinda shallow gameplay, and makes the figures just plastic dlc that you use once and throw in a bin. Sad. Sad. The Switch version is also missing the racing portion, that other consoles had. This last entry is especially bad, and the story is lacking. If your looking for a fun Skylanders experience, go play Skylanders Giant on Wii.

    It’s a decent kids game, nothing else. It’s fine for what it is but could use more depth. I have to acknowledge how great it is that you can use all previous figures.

    Unfortunately, though Imaginators can be played in portable mode, it hasn’t been optimized as a mobile title. In short, the save points haven’t been reworked, and many of the levels run quite long, which ultimately isn’t all that conducive for successful completion during a quick bus ride. Despite this, the console can be put into sleep mode at any time, so the odds of the system dying before someone can get home or to a power source for a quick charge are pretty low. As it stands, this is the superior way to experience Imaginators on any platform, and it’s highly recommended that Switch owners give the title a whirl!

    Skylanders Imaginators feels tired. A game that either needs a significant break or possible retirement, it's difficult to recommend to anyone but younger gamers - and parents would probably prefer to avoid it due to the additional character cost. There are plenty of other games more worthy of your cash, and if you desperately must have this game, buy it on another system where the starter pack will be cheaper.

    Skylanders Imaginators might do a serviceable job at scratching that platforming itch left by the absence of games like Super Mario Odyssey, but it just feels like yet another Skylanders game. While the Switch version brings more hardware appropriate features to the table, it still feels slightly inferior to other versions, especially as it’s missing content. Issues aside, Imaginators is bound to be a hit with younger audiences, but just be warned it’s a franchise that’s truly starting to stagnate.
