Hi developers! Did you try to read the subtitles in this speed in a language that is not you mother tongue? What about "press to proceed"? Learn how to build dialogues from other Nintendo games. Good luck!

A good remaster. For fans of the old games, there is nothing too new content-wise, but it is an absolutely successful attempt at making the game feel modern.

The aspect ratio, updated models and lighting do a lot to make the game look and feel really nice. The quality of the speech audio is now crystal clear (as Skunkape got hold of the original, pre-compressed audio files). There are

The aspect ratio, updated models and lighting do a lot to make the game look and feel really nice. The quality of the speech audio is now crystal clear (as Skunkape got hold of the original, pre-compressed audio files). There are also a few new music tracks which fit the game perfectly.

If you're a fan of the original versions, this is a great way to replay them in their prettiest ever form (but don't expect a vastly different experience). Everything runs smoothly - they've definitely squashed some of the bugs from the old version of the Telltale engine.

If you haven't played the Telltale Sam & Max games, this is a good place to start. As the updates bring it inline with more modern offerings, hopefully this will introduce the franchise to a new generation of gamers.

This remaster does exactly what it set out to. Looking forward to to the next one!

Changing jokes to make marginalized people feel welcome is good, actually. You're doing something right if bigots hate your game and complain about "censorship".

Lovely update to an old classic, the game looks surprisingly up to date with some gorgeous lightning and models. Everything has been improved, and it makes me sad some people are bombing this game because one lame joke has been changed. Give it a try if you like adventure games or just enjoy hyper kinetic rabbity chaos

Lost points for joke censorship. Sam and Max would not approve. Go get the original season 1.

Unfortunately the developers decided to censor jokes.
    Yes, jokes.

    Absurd political pandering.

Imagine South Park got censored. That's this game in a nutshell. A once great game ruined by the new modern cancer known as "political correctness".

Don't waste your money on this. Get the originals. I wouldn't recommend this if this was free.

I enjoyed playing the original Sam & Max, and I also enjoyed this remaster. Sure.. they updated some jokes, but it doesn't take away from the experience in anyway. Remasters are challenging to tackle, especially when they contain content that could be controversial by today's standards. I think they did an excellent job overall at updating this game.

Save the World's streamlined verb-free take on point-and-click design remains enjoyable to this day and makes the entire game's narrative easy to sit back and enjoy without getting stumped for hours. Remakes rarely highlight the strengths of a game this well! [Issue #58 – March/April 2022, p. 22]

Sam & Max Save the World is a hilarious game that moves effortlessly between surreal screwball comedy, buddy cop sitcom, and sharp satire of American society. That’s reason enough for the new lease on life that comes with a remaster and a Switch release, but as one of Telltale’s formative works, it’s also an important part of videogame history that was at risk of being lost forever.

Sam & Max: Save The World is an extremely fun game, with great humor in the dialogues and a solid gameplay. Lots of good challenges, that together with an excellent cast of characters, makes for a fantastic experience to play on your Nintendo Switch.
