Jan 3, 2023Sail Forth isn't without a few issues, but exploring the seas and upgrading your ship is satisfying from start to finish.

Jan 23, 2023Sail Forth is a game that knows what it wants to do and does it incredibly well. Its world is charming, its mechanics are well thought out and most importantly its gameplay is fun. From battling pirates to delivering packages, Sail Forth can be as relaxing or intense as you want it to be thanks to the free sailing mode. There's not much else like it on the Switch and even on other platforms where you have more options, it's one of the best.

Dec 23, 2022Sail Forth isn’t the best open-world game for the Switch, but it takes the procedurally generated formula presented in No Man’s Sky and gives it a much more approachable (and nautical) feel. The visuals are relaxing and effective, and almost every character has a lot of charm in the way they’re presented. Sailing is surprisingly fun despite some distracting bugs, and the fleet-building mechanics have just enough depth without feeling overwhelming. A good way to unwind if you're happy to go with the wind.

Jan 3, 2023Sail Forth’s simulation of ocean waves and its accessible approach to sailing are top-notch. But the rest of the world isn’t as meticulously realized, resulting in low-stakes tedium across your exploration of the high seas.
