    At not even half the price of WRC8 and V-Rally 4, this game gives me so much more fun. It's not perfect, but the game as a whole feels right at home on the Nintendo Switch (WRC8 & V-Rally 4 are just a downgrade version to work on the system). And it's even more amazing that this game was made by only 1 man. Of course as a low-budget game from an indie developer, it has a lot to be improvedAt not even half the price of WRC8 and V-Rally 4, this game gives me so much more fun. It's not perfect, but the game as a whole feels right at home on the Nintendo Switch (WRC8 & V-Rally 4 are just a downgrade version to work on the system). And it's even more amazing that this game was made by only 1 man. Of course as a low-budget game from an indie developer, it has a lot to be improved like the UI, the graphics etc. but in general, this game is polished and provides so much more than its price. And the updates keeps coming quite often to make it even better. To me, this is the most well-rounded rally game you can buy on the Switch right now.… Expand

    I'm impressed! This game is really good, I bought it for $ 4 thinking it would be a crap - I was wrong. There is a lot of it in wrc, dirt and other games of this type. We can choose a career mode, varied challenges, online battles and much more. The best part is that this game was only made by one person. I recommend it, it's worth testing.

    9/10, will race with Sebastian Lube and Sebastian Okay again!

    Seriously tho, the game is a blast. The rain looks and feels great, and it’s the best-controlling driving game I’ve played on Switch so far. I’d like to see more variety in the environment though — bridges, villages, more visually diverse trees, etc.

    Like a grown up version of tg rally gba, GAMECUBE CONTROLLER SUPPORT WITH ANALOGUE TRIGGERS, huge point for inclusion on any switch driving games, thankfully well implemented here.     It's still really playable with those settings (like graphics optimisation over performance). The physics though a bit simpler than say wrc8, are well implemented and give a real feel. The game modes is where this title excels, as its crammed with different modes, competitions etc. I'm extremely fond of the traffic avoiding in skill games, well worth a punt considering the price point. An excellent edition to switch driving games, let down only by slightly primitive graphics, but this does not detract from gameplay. Two thumbs-up for one guy, you know who you are!

    Best rally game on switch.

    Nice graphics and decent controls.

    It is also more fun than WRC with a decent sense of speed and much less frustrating handling.

    This is a gem of a rally racing game! Whilst the graphics are not as flashy as some other rally games, there is still a pretty good variety of environments to drive through (10 countries) and there are lots of weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, twilight, night driving etc) to keep things interesting and varied. I absolutely love how the game plays! The cars handle realistically and theirThis is a gem of a rally racing game! Whilst the graphics are not as flashy as some other rally games, there is still a pretty good variety of environments to drive through (10 countries) and there are lots of weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, twilight, night driving etc) to keep things interesting and varied. I absolutely love how the game plays! The cars handle realistically and their performance varies appropriately as you change from one road surface type to the next. You also have to be mindful of damaging your car as there are limited opportunities after every 2nd stage to make priority repairs. This adds a nice touch of strategy and realism. Serious damage also affects how your car handles. There are also plenty of race modes to keep you busy, including a rally cross options where you compete in 3 lap races against 5 AI opponents. It is also fun to buy new cars and tinker with their fit out to suit your own driving style. Whilst Rally Rush 3 lacks the 'bells and whistles' that other big budget titles possess, it does all the core things exceptionally well, and I am really pleased it is part of my Switch collection. This game is great value for money even at full price.… Expand

    Usually, racing games do not control well, especially with joycons or controllers, but this game is set up for precision. Every wreck I have is my fault, I never feel that the controls were off or too hard to handle and the car sounds and handles as well as I could ever expect in a video game. Gosh darnit, I am in love...

    *On the topic of button mapping: Anyone looking for ideas, I like to put my e-brake as L, my brakes as ZL, shift up as ZR and shift down as R. Gas is obviously L-stick. You are going to need your e-brake in this one in the tougher courses.

    The only thing that comes to mind and leaves me wishing is that I could change tires but that's about the only upgrade I find lacking and maybe there is a way that I haven't discovered yet? The car doesn't feel like it needs different tires but I would suspect customizers and racing aficionados would like the option. There may be some other slight criticisms one could find but even at $50 this game would have impressed me. This is Triple-A developer quality from a man who apparently takes his games and work seriously. I applaud him.

    The audio is fine-tuned and easier to understand than any rally game I have ever played. This means a lot to me considering I have never been able to pick up much of what the Navigator in a Rally game is putting down. Often having to fight for dear life to keep my car on the track, it can be hard to hear 5 steps in advance and keep it in memory. Not so with this game: the controls are well implemented and on-time, not overly sensitive nor unresponsive. Communication relay is excellent, the navigator delivers his instructions at a proper time and doesn't get too far ahead. The Navigator speaks slower and is more articulate than in other rally games I have played. Bravo, good job!

    Dirt Rally 2.0 from Codemasters is an amazing game on the Xbox One but I believe this game is better; I can for sure admit that I have had more fun with Rush Rally 3 than I have with Rally 2.0. The way RR3 controls feels more responsive and realistic, more what I would expect in the nature of a true rally car; Even from a joycon perspective, the turning response is fluid and accurate - I can get the car to turn at the correct angle based on the degree of turn I have my stick pressed. In DR 2.0 the controls feel overly loose and sensitive on my X1 controller.

    I can't complain about graphics they look stellar to me. Framerates are handled with precision on the Switch console. Gameplay is top notch. At the original $15 asking price, Stephen Brown (I heard his name mentioned in a review and assuming that it is correct), the 1-man developer of Rush Rally 3, was offering us a value; having him put his masterpiece on sale for $4.49 and he for sure deserves more for his gem. I cannot thank this man enough for his hard work. I will be looking forward to more from developer Brownmonster.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's start off with me just saying you need this game in your library if you're in the market for a good racer. It is absolutely incredible (and sad) that this indie developed game can provide more bang for your buck at a quarter price than the big budget hits that are also available on this platform. The switch has been long overdue for a decent racing game that is not a simulater, but instead, is an in depth arcade focused racer that provides depth in it's playability. Let's just get this out of the way, the switch SHOULD NOT be your go to if you want simulator racing. Between the lack of analog controls and inputs, the hardware can not support the necessities a sim requires in order for you to get full enjoyment out of it. For me personally, while I do see the satisfaction people get in Sims, unless you have a cockpit set up for your simulator of choice, you're missing out on a lot of the draw towards that genre. So that leaves you with arcade racing. Unfortunately over time arcade racers have increased their accessablity for a broader audience which inherently means an unchallenging game. NFS, Asphalt, and Burnout are all wonderful games that I could recommend for simple pickup and play sessions. Outside of those conveniences though, they don't offer much depth. Enter: Really Rush 3, an indie game that offers the optimal middle ground between arcade and sim racers.
    Now I said arcade first because RR3 is not focused on the feeling of realism, but more so focuses on the exhilaration of blasting through course in the rally world. DO NOT BE MISTAKEN! This game is not as simple as tap the E-Brake to powerslide like it's arcade sisters. At the same time it's also not spend hours trying to find the perfect tune for your vehicle of choice like a sim racer. You have the ability to drive fast and slick -- but fail, while also having the ability to tune and upgrade your vehicle while not needing to worry about keeping it on the track. This game was built with the love of the aesthetics for rally racing and it shows. The sense of speed is incredible. The customization, visually and technically, is unmatched. Whilst it doesn't boast amazing dust particles and sun rays like recent releases, it has amazing graphics running at 60fps as well (I mean I'm more focused on going fast, not counting how many grains of sand my vehicle kicks up through a corner). Please, PLEASE, consider this game. This developer understands gaming is for escaping reality and fulfilling a fantasy. The amount of content available in this game is insane, and you could easily sink hours into this game without feeling like it's a chore. This is easily the best racing game on the Switch, and I'm saying this in 2022, a little over two years after the games been released on the platform. At least than 20 bucks you'd be doing yourself a favor taking a chance on this game.    … Expand

    Disclaimer, i know this is a mobile port, but I'll review as a switch game.

    Rush Rally 3 excellent at being a car game:
    -The work made by this single developer is astonishing! the amount of content for a 15€, 1 dev game makes many AAA games to shame, even outside of the little Switch. There's a few game modes, from the championship that restricts car classes and has a very nice progression because of that, to the more traditional modes to expect like Single Rally and Single Track (stage). BUT! that's not all, there's also a Rally Cross mode(Circuit racing against AI in a more mixed type terrain track) and the "Skill Games" a mode with various challenges like going from point A to B with traffic for example and of course Multiplayer.
    -The car list, while not official cars, they all resemble the inspiration quite well and the models overall look pretty good, nicely detailed.
    - Car handling its in that magical spot of just arcade enough for not requiring much setup but "realistic" enough to not be brain dead. It's a sweet spot that i enjoy a lot, and thanks to the lack of analog triggers on the Switch it plays to this game favor
    - There's both visual and performance tuning, while the visual tuning apart from rim selection (very nice selection i may add) is the typical color swaps and what not, there's also a livery editor, yes a livery editor in a 15€, 1 dev game!!!. While not by any means the most advanced or "complete" editor, it does his job well to create unique looking cars. Regarding the Performance tuning, the system here is similar to other games like for example Forza Motorsport series, every part gives both a up in performance and the car "Class" rating, some events requires for the player to balance those two.
    -You can't buy a car more than one time, fortunately with the livery and tuning saving system you can have multiple liveries / tuning settings per car.
    - Very robust (best in class on the switch) graphic options, i mean, PC levels of graphic options, running at 60 Fps

    Rush Rally a mediocre Rally game:
    Unfortunately there's two parts at really hinders the rally aspect, one more than the other:
    -First is the mechanical damage system, for a game that gives you information about everything it lacks any explanation how this system work. Yes if you crash against a tree wheels will fly off, everything good there, but it's the mechanical damage over time that it's poorly executed, Tires get worse by just driving, if you drift or not, makes no difference. If I'm gonna loose tire "%" anyway, there's no reason to drive more conservatively. Same for the engine and gear box, I'm still trying to figure out how those two get damage, in one car i get both at red (barely working) after 2 stages with perfect handling, on another car, both stays green (working perfectly) after the same 2 stages. Then there's the "fix" screen... after 2 stages your tires are at 100% done...meaning you'll always spend most of the repair time on the wheels, making the rest run poorly. Either this system needs a complete overhaul or just remove it (i would love the 1º option thought).

    A now the worse part of this game, i would ignore the first problem if this one wasn't so bad.
    -First i want to actually say the system implemented here for saving both space and hardware resources is very cleaver. But at the end of the road it makes every stage look like a color swap from one and another, racing in Finland and going to Kenya is just a color swap, everything looks the same. To be honest i think this game only have four corners, 5 left/right, 3 left/right, square left/right and thigh turn left/right, that's it, you'll do the same corner multiple times in the same stage. Making it worse is, since everything looks the same, you'll struggle sometimes to see wheres the turn. The amount of countries is nothing more than the same four corners with different colors / trees.

    Conclusion: The amount of car / game customization is top notch, better than many AAA games. Car selection, while fictitious, are all inspired in rally legends and so far all a blast to drive. Unfortunately the problem is where the cars drive, the stages are extremely bland, nothing really stands out. If the dev gave more attention to the stages in making them more unique and technical instead of the "skill games" or even Rally Cross, Rush Rally 3 could've been one of the best rally games to date. Still, It's the best rally game on the Switch

    Lets hope the steam release comes with workshop compatibility, i can see this game becoming a modding heaven, and with user created stages, RR3 could very well be the perfect non sim Rally game    … Expand

    Rush Rally 3 is the game what i was hoping for! I had a good sense of speed, great physics and the graphics for Switch are good! Image it was just one person making the whole game, its amazing. I can recommend this game to every Rally fan out there

    Rush Rally 3 is impressive for being the product of a one-man band. It has a sizeable amount of content and accessible driving model. Its simplistic presentation is a bit of a bummer, but this is still one of the most balanced racers on Switch so far.

    Despite everything it does right, Rush Rally 3 does stumble along the way, particularly in the graphics department. This isn’t a good-looking game, unfortunately; there’s no getting around that. The visuals are GameCube level at best, and we’ve no doubt that this can be vastly improved for future games without compromising on performance. Elsewhere, the menu system can be a tad confusing for newcomers, and the customisation screen, in particular, is a bit of a nightmare to navigate.
