    BattleChasers style with Heros and Villains you know from LoL. Awesome storytelling and great explorations of the lore and maps alike. Makes for a great play on the Switch.

    To start things of, the game itself is great!
    Pros:
    As a first, chemistry between characters is good, characters themselves got a lot more interesting, fell in love with every single one of them. Appreciated the fact that each character was good at something and they all got highlights in the process, nobody was left out.     Great visuals, nice music and a very touching story. Side quests were good as well, it was interesting to complete them.
    Also there is a lot of lore to explore there as well as mentions of favourite characters, items and stories.

    Hoping not for a part two, but for another story told in the same fashion.

    Cons:
    I did not give 10 of 10 just because of two things:
    1) Crashes, I had to try with earlier saves so game would not crash. But they probably hotfixed it, so I did not have any issues starting from about 26% of the story
    2) Bugs - frequent visual bugs, invisible enemies and I even got a fish to bug once, but nothing gamebreaking
    3) Fast travel - if they do more of these stories (WHICH I HOPE THEY WILL) we need an ability to either recall to last checkpoint or do fast travel (at least in the region) from anywhere. As an example I spent 6 minutes just running from harbor to buhru well and back. As you can probably tell nothing happened in those 6 minues as I already explored these areas.    … Expand

    This perfect release from Riot Games will define RPGs for a generation. The combat mechanics are brilliantly thought out and balanced, the animations are so smooth and detailed, and the attention to the little things (each champ having an animation to pet a dog!) gives the game both challenge and charm. 10/10

    Aún no lo completo pero ya llevo más de 10 horas de juego y la verdad es que me ha impresionado, lo compré más que nada para explorar el Lore, ya que Riot ha hecho un buen trabajo creando un sub mundo dentro de lo que es el lol, pero terminé llevándome más de una sorpresa. En dificultad Veterana es un juego bastante desafiante (a menos que seas un maestro del RPG en ese caso tienes un modoAún no lo completo pero ya llevo más de 10 horas de juego y la verdad es que me ha impresionado, lo compré más que nada para explorar el Lore, ya que Riot ha hecho un buen trabajo creando un sub mundo dentro de lo que es el lol, pero terminé llevándome más de una sorpresa. En dificultad Veterana es un juego bastante desafiante (a menos que seas un maestro del RPG en ese caso tienes un modo más de dificultad) lla exploración de mapa y el lúteo se me hicieron muy familiar a Diablo III o a algunos juegos de la saga Tales Of y la jugabilidad por turnos me recordó mucho a Final Fantasy 6 y Crono Trigger, las peleas son muy dinámicas y hay que decidir bien cuando usar cada una de las habilidades para sacarle el mayor provecho a las ventajas o maldiciones que te puede ofrecer el escenario, el juego premia mucho la exploración del mapa y la música cumple con las espectativas,el arte del juego y sus locaciones con ambiente de piratas mezclado con lo fantasmal lo que hace muy interesante querer recorrer los mapas . El diseño artístico de los personajes está hermoso y sus diálogos y personalidades se sienten muy auténticos. Lo malo es que los tiempos de carga son eternos y que tiene uno que otro bug por ahí que incomodan un poco la experiencia. No sé si valga el precio con el que está en la tienda de Nintendo pero realmente no me arrepiento para nada de haberlo comprado. Los controles son muy simples, lo que hace que sea cómodo jugarlo tanto en el modo portátil como en la TV. Le doy un 8 de 10 ya que aún no lo termino y no sé que otras dinámicas puedan ir generándose más adelante en el juego.… Expand

    The game is great don’t listen to this fragile minded person the game is great and that’s why we are here to learn about games not about what certain people at the company choose to do they will face there own personal consequences they have so many devs that are genuine good people who do not deserve to suffer from a couple of bad eggs!

    I've been playing lol since season 3 and I've always read the lore and stories about the champions... To see the world of Runeterra come to life is pretty cool. The way the combat works is kind of simple but still very enjoyable. I have played the game on PC as well and the switch version is still good especially handheld.

    Excelente jogo. Graficos agradáveis e bonitos, dublagem original e bem feita. A jogabilidade é muito boa, me lembra child of light só que bem mais complexa. É um prato cheio pros amantes de rpg por turnos como eu.

    If you liked Battle Chaser this one is for you! Same style, same studio, same drawer. A really good occidental J-RPG with charismatic characters.

    A game heavily anchored and leaning in to the lore of League of Legends, finally giving the payoff that the Ruination should have given (Even if this is technically a prequel)
    The gameplay is exquisitely crafted up and honestly as a veteran that has been playing this franchise since 2012, I can't stress just how amazingly fresh this new game

    He jugado en switch y un error no me deja seleccionar el enemigo al que tengo que pegar, ocurre en cualquier momento del juego y de forma aleatoria. Este problema lo hace totalmente injugable y estropea toda la experiencia del juego. Habiendo pasado varios días todavía no existe actualización ni se habla de ello. (No soy al único que le ocurre según hilos de reddit)

    A good game for fans of the League of Legends universe, beginners may find it complex and difficult, but for lovers of the genre, turn based strategy, is a game that leaves a lot to be desired, with an overestimated value.

    I found ruined king a waste of 30$. Not only did it do a poor job of introducing me to it's different lanes it didn't tell me how to heal my party and the load screens were to often and lasted to long for I don't know what reasons. It seemed complicated for the hell of being complicated and it destroyed the game for me. Utterly confusing. This game would have done better as a typicalI found ruined king a waste of 30$.     Pretty amazing game, i like these turn based rpgs. it has a lot of cool mechanics and improvements for your characters. The story is pretty good. It just makes a lot of fun.

    I love turn based games and this one had a huge amount of promise. Its could have been great but instead settles for mediocrity. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are well done but it takes more than that to make a good game. The UI is pretty bad. This makes every battle frustrating. The worst thing by far though, are the characters. apart from one or two, these are the most poorly written and two dimensional characters I've seen in a while. They are stereotyped and cringe worthy. One female character is muscle bound behemoth and you're forced to play with them early on. You have no strong main character, instead you have to play through multiple characters which loses the sense of progression and character building. I'd like a sequel to this game that's made right with an awesome main character or allowing the user to at least customize or create their own.… Expand

    Nice game, awfull switch optimalisation. Loading times are attrocious, just like game that was made by reskinning battlechasers which albo was as sluggish like Ruined King. Combat should be a bit more varied, lane mechanic is idiotic, You cant see nothing in handheld mode on this lane graphic. Not recommended.

    I have played about 2-3h so far on the switch, and the game itself seems great, but the switch version was clearly an afterthought. Loading screens are long and frequent, and even after those end, you notice textures poping in, and things like the map still remain unavailable for a noticeable long time after you are given back control of your character.     On a different note, some UI elements feel clunky. The most noticeable is the combat bottom bar, for example, that can get easily crowded with very small icons and become impossible to understand, both on docked and handheld modes.
    Overall, it seems like a great game, and playing with LoL characters in a different setting feels like a one-of-a-kind experience. The story so far is captivating, and the overall mechanics feel well built. If you can play it on anything other than the Switch, I suspect you will have a much better experience, if anything just because the loading times might improve. If not, it's still a game worth picking up, but be ready to wait, and wait, and wait some more.... :/    … Expand

    I was blown away by how good this game was. Great combat and good storytelling made sitting through the entire game night after night easy. 6 characters to choose from with multiple plays styles each meant I could build things how I wanted. The game ended without feeling like bloat was added to extend the duration which I appreciate.

Had to restart the game 3 times in one specific area where triggering a battle with an enemy (that chases you in narrow halls!!!) crashed the game, had to avoid the fight completely. Random crashes on the loading screen (which are terribly slow). If not for being a LoL aficionado since season 5 I would have dropped the game after a day or two of playing it.… Expand

    Ruined King has some of the most fun and engaging turn based combat of any JRPG, combine that with the superb characters and world it really is something special. There's a lot you could criticize about this game, including the graphics and loading times, as well as some padding and the slightly mediocre story, but I don't want to focus on that because the game is genuinely good. The RPG elements of this game are unmatched in their depth and simplicity. It's incredibly easy to customize the stats of your characters, including branching skill and stat trees so you can customize which way you want to build and use them. The combat abilities are comprehensive and the animations are stylish, and the pace of battle can be sped up when you want to get through them faster. Each character has super abilities than are charged with a shared gauge that will bring out instant devastation on your enemies.

    Character interactions are thoughtful throughout the story and there's optional conversations to listen to at campsites. Each character is written and voiced phenomenally. I cannot imagine any way that these voices could be better, the voice actors are literally perfect for each character.

    If you are looking for a fun, moderately long, turn-based western RPG with good characters and a satisfying story then I highly recommend this game    … Expand

    Ruined King doesn't deliver on the Nintendo Switch everything it promises. The story is interesting but it's very difficult to ignore the gameplay and performance issues to actually insist upon seeing the game through to the end. It's worth it to those who want to know more about Runeterra though.

    Ruined King is a bit far from the expectations created with it, but right where we should have put it after knowing Airship Syndicate's previous work. It's a solid RPG, with deep combat, and interesting systems.
