This is a very impressive step for Nintendo and they did it again with a genius concept. I worked out for only 30 minutes and I had a good sweat going. The most impressive thing to me is how well the motion controls work for all the exercises and the built in progression of the game that adds new exercises and will make you mix up your exercises for various side quests. Even if you fall into a rut of doing the same exercises over and over, the game will make you use certain ones to progress through levels so your workout can't get too stale. This is hands down the best fitness game yet. Can't recommend it enough if you are looking for a good at home full body workout. Expand

    This game is very good

So good in fact, that the amount of fun I have while playing is the greatest flaw of it. This may seem confusing, but it's because within 2 days of playing, I've entered a weird state where my brain wants to play and keep making progress due to addictive RPG elements. While my brain is telling me to sneak in more play time, the muscles of my body are screaming at me

The difficulty is on a scale from one to one hundred and if you have a hard time being motivated to work out I would recommend it to you.

I was very apprehensive to buying this game thinking of it as 60% a meme and 40% actual interest, but I love it.would buy again.

Starting off, the game kicked my ass. After the first session I was sweating like crazy and heaving. I have since lowered the difficulty and I am having far more fun and still getting a good work out, but anybody who is afraid that they won't be challenged, has nothing to worry about. I'm a relatively active 21 year old to put that into perspective.

The exercise aspect is amazing, it is very conscious of promoting healthy exercise habits for the long term. The only thing barring it from a 10 is that it isn't a gaming masterpiece, this isn't ocarina of time with a ring-con, it is a standard/generic RPG which serves to distract you from the fact you are doing exercise, and it serves that purpose perfectly. Completely recommend it to anyone who feels they need an injection of fitness into their lifestyle.

I hope they do a few gimmicky things like they did with Labo and let you use the ring-con as a Mario-kart wheel, or a bow in Zelda, but the price is right as is. Happy adventuring!

After 4 days of training I think I understood better what a RPG Hero or a Pokemon feel! xD

Immersion quite perfect with a big TV (mine is 55) ! xD So fun! After 30 minutes of workout every day, I feel great! That‘s the most crazy RPG I played! :D Also, mini games are simple, very funny with various levels... not so easy so want to retry and get better world ranking score! Finally others exercises and program permit to train your training ... Lol

Who said video games to not make you moving and sweat? THANK YOU NINTENDO!

    I'm tired, I don't want anything else.
I don’t know how it works, but the more I play, the more the game draws me in, despite the fatigue and muscle pain.
Yes, the plot of the game is not fire, but it’s not about the plot, but about exercises, and there are a lot of them, you can find something that will give the player the strength that he can do, but will make him sweat and suffer .

I'm tired, I do not want anything else, but tonight I will continue to play the game - it deserves it.

Why not 10? A lot of time is spent in all sorts of menus / downloads / animations. Sometimes the game shows that I do the exercises for forty minutes, but the clock says about an hour and twenty minutes

If a year ago, you had told me I would be reviewing a fitness game, I would never have believed you. But here I am...I am not into fitness, and I am usually lazy, but this game really helped me get back into it. What I find engaging is:
    - You unlock skills as you progress, allowing you to change the exercises from time to time
    - The game tries every session to work out a different part

    - You unlock skills as you progress, allowing you to change the exercises from time to time
    - The game tries every session to work out a different part of the body without you realizing (for instance, by changing the color of the enemies, which respond to a different type of attacks)
    - It's good at giving some gratification messages and trophies
    - Minigames are silly but somehow funny. It's like going to a theme park and playing all those machines to see who does better
    - The sensors work really well. Probably the best use of the Joy-Cons I have seen so far. If the game tells you to lie down on the floor, and you don't have your leg perfectly straight, it notices you.
    - While you're doing an exercise, the game gives you some tips and 'don't do this', precisely at the moment you are starting to do the exercise wrongly.
-It gives you advice and some interesting fun facts along the way

Please note that my grade is considering that this is a fitness game. It achieves its mission in an engaging manner. I am not saying this is a masterpiece, but so far I don't regret.

If I were very picky, I would complain about having too many screen interruptions or useless dialogues, but I have noticed their frequency has decreased as I progress through the game.

Just great. The ring-con works perfectly and its pretty tough. The main game, mini games and exercise routines are just great and make you forget that you are doing exercice. It really makes you tired! If you dont do the exercice correctly, it gives you less point so you know when you are doing it right.

I’m really impressed with Ring Fit Adventure so far! The mini games are super fun, the adventure is well designed and a great workout (I woke up sore today!) Plus, the option to do which workout sets makes it a great way to do a quick workout if you’re in a rush. The gameplay makes you feel motivated and the feedback is satisfying. Looking forward to seeing how this plays long term!

To start, I absolutely love this game with a passion. I've trained for 5 days in a row and I don't think I'll be stopping any time soon. To put into perspective, I am an out of shape 23 year old female, and while I don't go out of my way to work out at the gym, I do work in replenishment which involves a lot of walking, climbing up ladders, and lifting. However, despite me always saying "work is basically a gym," it really isn't when you think about reps and targeting muscles.
With this game and work though, I think I have a good chance of getting more in shape and working on myself the way I've been meaning to.
The ring was an amazing idea to target muscles in the chest and arms. It gives great resistance and really works out your muscles. I think my only complaint with the devices is that the leg strap is always sliding off, and the only way I've found to combat that is to put it on my bare leg.
All and all, very challenging and very rewarding game, it's a bit of a high price point at $80, but you get the tools you need to be motivated to work out, basically a coach. This is the best game Nintendo has released for Switch yet!

Ring Fit Adventure builds on the legacy of Wii Fit in important ways, not only pushing the limits of what a workout game can be but also repositioning its message around fitness in a much healthier and constructive way. Fitness isn't a steady, consistent journey for most people; it's full of tiny improvements and setbacks and obstacles that get in your way, much like one's progress in an RPG. Because of this, Ring Fit Adventure works perfectly both as a concept and in practice. The sheer volume of content along with new abilities, items, and difficulty levels keeps progression interesting through the entire campaign and beyond. With consistently engaging gameplay, gorgeous landscapes, and a relentlessly positive attitude, Ring Fit Adventure has set a new standard for fitness games, and I look forward to another year of growing stronger with it--and eventually beating that absurdly buff dragon.

As someone who spent their entire life being extremely athletic and active, I love being back in the swing of things again. I actually look forward to my Ring Fit workout everyday. I feel like people of all fitness levels can hop into this game and benefit from it. When I started this back in January I was as out of shape as it comes, and Ring Fit Adventure eased me back into things at a pace that felt comfortable. The combination of walking, Ring Fit, and elliptical has shredded pounds off of me, and I couldn’t be happier about that!
