Down from the fact, that it is completely boring the Ring of it is most **** think i have ever seen from Nintendo. The other fact, that the marketing is a* isn't much better. It is sad because Nintendo could have made much more out of it, but for me this game is only a piece of trash

On the downside, the joy-con sometimes doesn't register movement accurately resulting in a failed rep or two (but it's rare). The environments are nice-looking but character designs often don't do it for me. The music, on the other hand, is really good and has a few real bangers! The dialogue is cute and often earns a chuckle but the Ring character's English voice can get grating. Outside of adventure mode, the interplay between the disembodied voice of the instructor and the faceless helper Tipp can be very charming. The rhythm game DLC was a nice addition but, after 100 exercise-hours, I would love some more content - bring it on, Nintendo! Expand

A great game to motivate someone to workout.

Not much to say because its basically a work-out game with a campaign and mini-games to make you feel like you are playing instead of working-out. Some notes only about the difficulty which not making any sense in my opinion. It's poorly design where they only play around with numbers and altering your attack power. I do lot of home

I do lot of home work-out so yeah I fill I do some work-out and I think moderate challenge is good enough for me. Turns out they throw 30x squats for me and that's not even enough to kill the monsters.

Last, I think it's nice to have a dedicated menu to show the library of all your movement and some highlighted area which muscles that gain from certain movement as well as some explanation and preview of the movement. Currently, you can only see it when you play the campaign or quick session.

I'm in my mid-40s and quit powerlifting about 15 years ago because of injuries. Since then, I can only really workout at home because if I go into a gym I'll try to lift again. Over the years, I've tried every type of home workout. Tried all the apps, all the equipment, the miles of walking. Nothing really ever fit me.

I'd seen Ring Fit when it released, but I'd been on the fence. After watching YouTube videos and reading enough reviews, I went for it. And I'm so glad I did. I've now been consistent 3 days a week for 2 months. More than anything else I've tried in recent years.

What the game does is a kind of sorcery. It makes you look forward to the workouts. When it asks if you want to take a break, you really want to go another level. I don't think I've really ever found another workout that's done that for me. You're sweating, breathing heavy and your thighs are burning. But you're enjoying it. It manages to make you kind of forget you're working. And all in your home with a ring and leg strap.

I've dropped 2lb and 0,75% body fat. The belly is much less flabby, and I've started seeing definition in most of my muscles. I no longer get winded getting out of bed. Still a long way to go, but it's going to be a fun journey.

    So is it good? Yes.
    Is it effective? Definitely.
Would I buy the Switch just for Ring fit? 100%. It's still less than I've wasted on apps and equipment that are now collecting dust.

Disclaimer: I have also tried to eat healthier and less. I also supplement with resistance exercises between Ring Fit days. But I did that before Ring Fit, so I can definitely say that this has been the biggest driver of results.

Be ready to sweat it out, always have a towel and water near you.

I also like the implementation of UI here, you can navigate through the whole thing using the Ring alone. There are also a bunch of other mini-games to enjoy. Along with the calorie burned calculation there was also a blood pressure detector, not sure if its accurate but it definitely works.

All the contraptions especially the Ring itself is really sturdy, it is a well made physical gear, and the joy con works with it perfectly.

A must have for Nintendo Switch owners who also wants physical challenges to burn calories.

This game is really good, you don't really forget you are exercising but you are taking fun doing it, the rpg adventure mode is very complete the minigames are all very fun and challenging, the idea of a music game with Nintendo musics is also very smart. Very good game

It is an amazing way to exercise my self while playing. Controls are amazing, the ring has an amazing quality, it is not made with cheap plastic. The strap for the leg slice a little bit from the leg but it's not a deal breaker. It's entertained to play it. Recommended,

Maybe for the first time in the history of this niche genre, Nintendo managed to produce a training game that actually encourages you to train. I played Ring Fit Adventure for a very long time before I completed it, and I didn't feel bored once.

    PROS:

    - FINALLY A TRAINING GAME THAT WORKS: While other training games (including Nintendo's own Fitness Boxing) rely on your own drive to be fit, this one manages to make you *want* to come back to the game and break a sweat.

    - ALWAYS MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD: This game doesn't judge you, it doesn't set lofty goals that you struggle to reach, and it doesn't use your guilty feelings against you. Its tone is consistently gentle, inclusive and encouraging.

    - ACTUALLY MAKES YOU WORK HARD: By letting you progress at your own pace, and giving you a lot of freedom in the exercises you select, Ring Fit Adventure removed my typical self-excuses for skipping training.

    CONS:

    - IT'S A GREAT TRAINING GAME, NOT A GREAT GAME: The gaming component of Ring Fit Adventure is adequate for a training game, but the challenges, story and the maps would feel a bit too repetitive and shallow if this were a regular game. Thankfully, it isn't.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is an awesome game! It has 23 worlds and many stages. You start the game and then fight dragaux after every world too. World 1 is fairly simple as it has 3 levels before the next world. It goes from easy but then you get to World 23. Dragaux has not seven, not eight, but nine health bars. A boss takes about 10 minutes and with good attacks from the skill tree you unlock at World 6 has good attacks as it should. I disagree with Tetris556 as the long-term adventure mode is an excellent source of exercise as within 10 days of playing gives me 13 km worth of exercise. The only problem is that the IR motion camera doesn't seem to record high heart rates, even on 30 difficulty. If this was fixed originally. I would give a 10. Expand

It is unreal how well does it motivate to do more squats than you'd think you can just so you can kill some monsters, I'd never do that in a gym. The only down side I can say is that some of the moves are badly designed, and you need to watch multiple youtube videos to understand how to do them correctly since the motion sensors don't help you enough or even misguide you. Many yoga moves being the worst offenders, doing them in smooth, correct motion will give you fewer points than yanky slow motion. I've played it for exactly a year now, lost weight and gained muscles (just a little bit, let's be honest), and am just now finishing the main story quest–I think. So one year averaging 4 times a week, it's well worth any money. Expand

The game has a good premise at first, but wastes your time. The game's balance is hilariously broken, requiring grinding for levels by level 4. It boggles my mind that this game has as high of a rating as it does, it seems to have never been updated, so hopes of a patch are null and void. The calorie counter is also broken, giving about 150 calories for a half hour workout, not even as much as you would burn walking for the same amount of time (200 approx) regardless of the sweat you have been pouring off. It also seems to have a pretty awful pulse read, saying after each level that judging by my pulse, it was a "Very Light" workout.

Frankly, after losing a fight on the fourth level by a mile, (Literally didn't even get the enemies down to half health) and being forced to restart from the beginning, I'm convinced this game is the opposite of a hidden gem. A well known game with very undeserved reviews. Mandatory grinding is a terrible practice, and shows that you didn't put enough content in the game to last a decent amount of time, so you force players to replay what little is there. That means, in this case, redoing battles and environments repeatedly, just like going to a gym and using normal equipment, which is what I was trying to avoid with this game.

As for other aspects, both the narrator's have very annoying voices, and the controls are under baked in the running section. They work perfectly during workout sections, but they just arent as fast or accurate as you'll want in the running sections.

Most of this can be patched with an update, but considering my cartridge didn't require any updates when I popped it in, and there aren't any I can find, I'd say expecting long term support hee is unrealistic. Nintendo seems to have made a mediocre exercise program, then bolted on a half baked game. The only reason this didn't flop was COVID, especially at this price.

Long story short, it's bad at tracking exercises, and it can't stand on its own, so it's a shoddy exercise program with a badly balanced RPG game bolted on. Stay away, clearance is where this game deserves to be, and even then, it's not great.

Also the game helps you in a very 'natural' way to find the right difficulty settings and keeps track that you don't overwork yourself.

The only critic I have is that after about 10 min of training, the game continuously asks me if I want to take a break. But taking a break actually means ending the game and do the final static stretching. This lead to a few misunderstandings at the beginning and it kinda frustrated me to end the game too soon - as I still wanted to continue my training a little longer (this wording is used in the German Version of the game).

Ring Fit Adventure builds on the legacy of Wii Fit in important ways, not only pushing the limits of what a workout game can be but also repositioning its message around fitness in a much healthier and constructive way. Fitness isn't a steady, consistent journey for most people; it's full of tiny improvements and setbacks and obstacles that get in your way, much like one's progress in an RPG. Because of this, Ring Fit Adventure works perfectly both as a concept and in practice. The sheer volume of content along with new abilities, items, and difficulty levels keeps progression interesting through the entire campaign and beyond. With consistently engaging gameplay, gorgeous landscapes, and a relentlessly positive attitude, Ring Fit Adventure has set a new standard for fitness games, and I look forward to another year of growing stronger with it--and eventually beating that absurdly buff dragon.

As someone who spent their entire life being extremely athletic and active, I love being back in the swing of things again. I actually look forward to my Ring Fit workout everyday. I feel like people of all fitness levels can hop into this game and benefit from it. When I started this back in January I was as out of shape as it comes, and Ring Fit Adventure eased me back into things at a pace that felt comfortable. The combination of walking, Ring Fit, and elliptical has shredded pounds off of me, and I couldn’t be happier about that!
