    Edit: I didn't understand that the "Riff" was not a dialog overlay, but a comment much like "Mystery Science Theater". (not a fan of that show)

    I am a fan of WTD ("What the Dub") and was looking for something else in the genre when I saw and purchased Rifftrax. I have "no idea" what the critic reviews saw in this game, but my group tried it (Riff) and after several rounds they were done with the game. We tried both modes, where you pick a Riff vs when you enter your own. Either way, I don't see ever loading up the game again.

    * The clips were to long
    * The clips were not out of old films, but looked VERY raw and unprofessional (done by the dev?)
    * The playback of each clip, which was long... along with the riffs took twice as long as that of WTD
    * The predefined answers were RARELY funny

    I play Jackbox games, and it took me a while to make the WTD purchase. If you have a few friends (even if they do not like computer games) give WTD a try... and avoid Riff... Was hoping for a variation of WTD and instead got something that makes me appreciate WTD that much more.    … Expand

    Fun game . But if you make conservative jokes you can be banned from game , as apposed to making jokes that put conservatives in negative light . Trump jokes fine , might put you in game lead . Biden jokes , prob get banned by liberal player base or game moderators . Game should come with warning, " conservatives not welcome " .

    RiffTrax: The Game is a good time with a good group of people. Everybody had about the same amount of fun with “Write a Riff” mode as when playing WTD, even given the different goal (riff vs. line) but most of my friends agreed that “Pick a Riff” was the more interesting game. As in CAH, when you get a joke that lines right up with the scene in question? Priceless.

    RiffTrax: The Game is a must-have for fans of RiffTrax and Mystery Science Theater 3000, but it also belongs in the library of anyone who loves laugh-out-loud party games like What the Dub andQuiplash. Even if those titles don’t immediately tickle your funny bone upon reading them, it’s hard to argue with the price, considering how many people can play for hours on end. If you can’t help but watch a good bad movie with your mouth, RiffTrax: The Game is absolutely for you.

    Basically an officially licensed version of What the Dub?!, RiffTrax: The Game succeeds as a creative/comedy party game by adding the familiar voices of the RiffTrax crew. A few gameplay tweaks improve the dialogue riffing formula, but more movie clips and some variation in the game’s rounds would keep the fun running longer.
