I'm usually not very easy to scare (mainly because I can tell what's coming before it happens) but this game is just a whole new level of awesome. The jump scares are genuinely terrifying at the beginning, and even though you get used to them you can never truly let down your guard.

One way trip is a proposal that emphasizes its history and its characters above all else. An interesting bet located in an atmosphere of terror, and that its real intentions are to enter a thriller in which we will have to bring out our magnifying glass to reveal the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. An original game but that sometimes ends up being simple and repetitive.

Re:Turn – One Way Trip isn’t a terribly long or frightening excursion, but those seeking a good puzzle adventure with an emotionally-rich story and a take-charge female protagonist will be happy they bought the ticket.

The sprite art and character designs, while in a way overly "anime", are still memorable and fun in a way a lot of anime style games like this aren't. The occasional tedious puzzle and slow movement speed are frustrating at times but never really felt like they fully broke the experience for me. It's not perfect nor is it what I would call great, but the things it excels at lift it slightly higher than your average 2D horror game. Just not much higher.
