    It's a great arcade beat-em-up wrestling game that MOSTLY delivers on what was promised by the devs. I know there were a lot of delays on releasing this title but some of the features such as persistent championship titles and alternative wrestler outfits just don't seem to be anywhere in the initial release.

    I was really looking forward to seeing the different championship titles move around the roster but they dont so I hope this gets worked on.

    Throw back to the past greats!!!! In all the characters present, i think i am familiar with the legion of doom! Can't tell more about the others as i am not a hardcore wrestling fan like i used to be back in the 90s. If you love beat em up/ wrestling this game is highly recommended for you. Fantastic job done by the developers.

    I really like the throwback look of it and even with the 16 bit look, you can easily tell which sprite is supposed to be which wrestler. There is a surprising amount of move variety amongst each competitor and the learning curve isn't too extreme. There's even a difficulty meter in the options. But, like any wrestling game, you will eventually encounter duplicate moves or wrestlersI really like the throwback look of it and even with the 16 bit look, you can easily tell which sprite is supposed to be which wrestler. There is a surprising amount of move variety amongst each competitor and the learning curve isn't too extreme. There's even a difficulty meter in the options. But, like any wrestling game, you will eventually encounter duplicate moves or wrestlers performing moves they've never actually performed. The lack of online at launch and the paltry options of wrestlers available at launch detract things a bit here, and I would've liked a bit more from presentation in the way of a post match celebration or something along those lines (right now at the end of a match in versus mode, you're taken right back to the main menu), but of the 16 wrestlers available, all are well known to any wrestling fan who follows the independent scenes and/or New Japan, though if you're just a WWE fan, Johnny Retro (John Morrison) and the Road Warriors may be the only wrestlers you know (add the Blue World Order to that if you're an Attitude Era fan). The lack of online and the small roster (DLC is on its way including Impact superstar Chris Bey and other well known names) are definitely big detracting points but they're things that the developers have said during the dev process will be addressed after launch so I'm willing to give them their time. This is by no means a world beater or 2K Killer, but it wasn't meant to be either and it definitely beats the pants off of Battlegrounds for $10-$15 less as well.… Expand

    It's decent throwback to the WWF Superstars arcade cabinet but it loses it's fun factor after a couple of playthroughs. The playthrough isnt very long because the story mode still isn't complete and the game has been out for over a year. For a game with so many delays it still feels like it was rushed to market.

    RetroMania Wrestling is simply the best wrestling game available on the Switch. Appealing to both hardcore wrestling fans and old-school gamers, it’s a hark back to a forgotten era of gaming. The Switch still needs a new AAA wrestling game, though.

    RetroMania Wrestling looks like WWF WrestleFest, plays (a bit) like Fire Pro and has a wide variety of entertaining arenas to play in. However, the tiny roster, lack of creation modes, lack of online and brief single-player experiences mean you're really going to need to be interested in local multiplayer if you're going to be playing this one for a long time. To give it the Cena test: it's got our respect for going old-school and it'll get loyalty from the cult following it'll inevitably gain, but it still needs a bit more hustle before it's the finished product, whereas just now it feels like The Prototype.
