Apr 6, 2018Nostalgia based humor is without a doubt hit-or-miss, but overall a fun romp for a decent price.

Aug 16, 2017Un GTA con gráficas antiguas en toda orden.
Muy bien pulido, con muy buena jugabilidad y sobre todo unas grandes referencias a la cultura de geek en general. -
Oct 18, 2017Nice Xbox 360 game, good storyline, graphics are like old-school, featuring characters like Super Meat Boy, Minecraft Steve and CommanderVideo. (I bought this game in June 2014. Still playing it.)

Dec 10, 2017This game is one of the biggest disappointments for me on the Switch so far. I dont like the graphics after playing it, gameplay is way to easy. The story is okay, but not as amazing as stated. Overall i really regret buying this game. Other than NBA Playgrounds this is the worst game out of the 20 i have on my Switch so far without any doubt.

Mar 24, 2019It's easy to say Retro City Rampage is a faux-8-bit de-make of Grand Theft Auto, but the truth is RCR is a lot more than that. Lots of variety and challenge accompanies a zany, well-written story with genuinely funny dialogue. RCR is among the best indie titles for Nintendo Switch.

May 4, 2019Okay, just listen. This game if the old 2D GTA's got made for an even older generation, WHILE making it feel like a very new game. A must play indie game.

Jun 20, 2018Does the job of filling that gap for the top down classic GTA urge. Story is fun, side quests are fun but the game can feel a little repetitive and tedious at times.

Nintendo Force MagazineOct 30, 2017A super awesome send-up of '80s video games and nerdery all in a fun 2D Grand Theft Auto- esque wrapper. [Issue #30 – November/December 2017, p. 23]

Oct 1, 2017On the Switch, in handheld mode, it plays marvelously, though I admit the chaotic action is a bit rough to follow on the smaller screens.

Sep 6, 2017This is the third time we've reviewed this game, on each occasion a more feature-packed and improved iteration. Despite its 2010 roots - and pop culture references to match that time - it stands up extremely well, as pixels this stylish and action this chaotic don't lose their edge. Retro City Rampage DX is still an anarchic, almost overloaded game that bombards the senses while, at the same time, maintaining impressive polish in its gameplay. Whether you're playing it for the crazy story, excessive retro-styled violence or a mix of both, it still has the goods.
