    An incredible open world, full of intermeshing systems, dynamic events, and a whole lot of great content that remains as compelling now as it was at launch; great story that remains one of the best in gaming canon; glitches in Undead Nightmare have been cleaned up; looks especially great in handheld mode.

    Thoughts-
    I think, on a broader level, it is fair to expect Rockstar to do more, and to wish that a game as important and beloved as Red Dead Redemption was being treated better. But taking this release for what it is – a straight port of a beloved classic to the Switch – it holds up well, and is worth revisiting, worth recommending. If you have never played Red Dead Redemption before, or the idea of revisiting it on a portable appeals to you? This port comes hugely recommended. But if you were hoping for a more robust re-release, sadly, this isn’t that. It’s hard to tell if Rockstar will ever put in the time and money needed to do justice to a Red Dead re-release. But even if they don’t, at least we now have the original classic playable on all modern consoles.    … Expand

    After the disaster with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, Rockstar Games had the opportunity to shake off those past criticisms with a proper port for Red Dead Redemption (even though it won't be a remaster).     Zero improvements over the original, all multiplayer content have been completely removed, and the price is the same as it was over a decade ago. I mean, it's not Rockstar's all-time low *cough cough* gta trilogy remaster *cough cough*, but it's still utterly pathetic how greedy and lazy this port is.

    While this is a solid port of an otherwise great game, that does come anywhere close to justifying its $50 price tag. The resolution has been increased and the framerate is considerably more stable than the originals, but that's otherwise it; no texture upgrades, no new content - just the same game on a different console.

    Game 9/10, Port/Effort 2/10, Price 1/10. Average: 4. Rockstar's devs are basically lazy bastards that want our money for no effort whatsoever. If it was either half the price or indeed remastered, then it would be perfect. This title costs more than RDR2 on PC. Where's the logic?

    Отличный порт. Удивляет как плавно игра работает на Switch, за всё время моей игры (10 часов) я не обнаружил фризов. Единственный баг, который я встретил- задвоилось объявление о поимке преступника. Единственный минус- это цена в 50$. Да, игра отлично играется и ощущается как новый полноценный проект для Switch, но всё же думаю справедливой ценой было бы 30$.Отличный порт. The very decision to "remaster" an already dead game already seems idiotic and another demonstration that this is not Rockstar, which was the "quality standard of game dev", but impostors who decide to ruin their reputation before the release of GTA 6.     With its atmosphere, brilliantly written characters, action-packed missions skillfully set in the open world, and multitude of side activities, Red Dead Redemption can still rival games released years (and console generations) later. I recommend it even to those who don’t much care for the Wild West setting.

    If you want to experience Red Dead Redemption, I can recommend the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Although I think its price is high compared to the improvements it offers and a price like $30 would be more affordable, it will not make you regret playing it with its portable gaming experience and problem-free port. If you want to play in front of the TV with better graphics, you can play the game on Xbox with higher resolution and smoother performance, and at a much cheaper price, thanks to backward compatibility.
