This is a fun game! Strange and interesting character design, nice graphics and cut scenes, quite a range of customisation options for your ship... Most importantly it plays well and it is satisfying taking down bosses. It is very short (8 levels) but there is a fair bit of replay value in trying out different ships and weapon combos. Ein "schönes" Tribut an Parodius, das Spielprinzip ist leicht und die Farben sind bunt, nach dem Durchspielen fühlt man sich besser.

This is from my point of view another "pixel art" "retro looking" "would like to be cool" game which I really dont like. I thought this games were ment for the mobile devices. The pixel art graphic is more easy to be done, cheaper. Less memory taking. Less beautiful, but what the heck.. its not important. Important is to make it quick and get some quick money for it... There will be a few naive buyers.. We will make some money and so everybody will be happy.. or at least we will be... right? developers? is this how you think? Or why should we get ugly looking games? Or are you just learning how to code for the switch? Learning and testing on us? If we buy it or not? I hope not...

For those who must own every shoot 'em up on Switch, Q-YO Blaster is worth downloading even with its middle-of-the-road gameplay.

Q-YO Blaster is a great little tribute to Parodius, filled with inventive enemies and brilliantly designed boss battles. Its gameplay is solid and addictive with a beautiful art-style reminiscent in places of the mighty Cuphead. It’s short and sweet for sure, but it’s got lots of replayability and is perfect for whipping out for a quick blast on quick journeys and, all in all, is yet another cracking addition to the Switch’s ever-growing roster of top quality shmups.
