A game without great pretensions, but effective as a simple and charming puzzler. Ideal for short sessions.

Boss battles sprinkled throughout the game add a touch of variety, but the decision to only save your game after beating them means you'll be playing many stages in a row before you can quit, which isn't ideal. Of course you can just put your Switch into sleep mode, but if you want to dive in and play a handful of levels then hope back onto Astral Chain or something, that isn't an option. It's a bit of a strange choice, because in every other respect Pushy and Pully in Blockland is extremely friendly stuff.

If you're like me and grew up with Bomberman then you might get some good memories from the olden days of gaming. Now, this isn't Bomberman but it has a Bomberman vibe and it's super colorful with fun enemies. Even if you never heard of Bomberman or didn't like it, this game is very unique in itself so don't let that detour you.

At first, you might think hey this game isn't that hard it's pretty easy but each new world and level keeps adding to the challenge and you'll be trying to get through to the end just to fight each new boss and see all the new enemies.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to play the game in co-op mode yet but I can only imagine it's even more fun.

While the game can be pretty challenging, it is also fun and a great reminder of the 90's Japanese arcade games.

Yes you will die, often, but that's what makes it a great arcade game, as its difficulty is well adjusted

If you're not looking to do this, I believe anyone could beat this game with some effort. Getting a game over is very forgiving, as you can just continue we're you left off.

The game looks great and the music is great too. Every world has some unique gameplay features, which really help keep the gameplay feeling fresh until the end cutscene.

I really enjoyed my time with this game and would definitely recommend you give it a shot.
