    NIS America can only convince in places with the new "Prinny Presents NIS Classics Vol. 1" on the Nintendo Switch. Especially thanks to the great implementation and the general gameplay of "Phantom Brave", you can simply do more. The graphics look appealing and the sound sounds good. The second game "Soul Nomad & the World Eaters" is rather the weak point of the collection. The game isNIS America can only convince in places with the new "Prinny Presents NIS Classics Vol. 1" on the Nintendo Switch. The second game "Soul Nomad & the World Eaters" is rather the weak point of the collection. The game is hardly convincing and technically it feels really outdated. We would have expected a better remake of the title here as well. So we can only recommend the new "Prinny Presents NIS Classics Vol. 1" to real fans. Today's gamers might have fun with the title "Phantom Brave", but won't be able to do anything with the second game. We hope for a better edition in the future.… Expand

    This collection is fun simple because the old games are good, but the real problem is that there is zero extra content added to the package. No quality-of-life improvements, no graphics updates, nothing that make the two games more accessible. The old games are essentially great, but the package itself is non-existent and feels half-hearted. This is such a huge waste and a missed opportunity, unfortunately it drags down what could have been an outstanding experience.

    Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1: Phantom Brave / Soul Nomad is a compilation that brings back two tactical RPGs from the 2000s that deserved to be presented to a wider audience. Unfortunately there was little effort in treating these two games to a more modern format in order to make them more appealing to today's audience, and even though both remain fun and captivating for the players who are familiar with them, there's no additional value to gain from this rather expensive set.

    Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1: Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered / Soul Nomad & the World Eaters may only be the first in the Prinny Presents series, but it’s already off to a phenomenal start. Whether you played these titles when they first came out or are heading into them for the very first time, this two-in-one bundle is something that you won’t want to skip out on if you’re even remotely interested in SRPGs.
