I'm left wondering just who would want to play Postal Redux. The game works, sure, but there are a lot of top-down isometric shooters that work. I understand the appeal in playing both transgressive and offensive games, but Postal isn't actually transgressive, since it has so little to say and while it clearly caused offence in the '90s, there are games that are much more capable of causing offence now if that's what you're looking for. Play Hotline Miami. Hotline Miami upset plenty of people. Postal, meanwhile... Postal in 2020 comes across as bland, and for a game (and series) that relies entirely on upsetting people, even when the gameplay is competent, for it to be "bland" is to make its very existence pointless.

POSTAL Redux didn't need to come to Nintendo Switch. But I guess part of what makes a game like this, that puts you in the role of a character hopefully none of us would emulate, is that it doesn't need to do anything. It just needs to let you shoot little guns at things and make the blood go everywhere. If that's what you're into, POSTAL Redux will let you do that from anywhere. But if you prefer a game with any amount of meaningful substance, keep looking elsewhere.

Postal Redux can be seen as a sort of a time capsule that brings us back to the second half of the 1990s, when unlimited on-screen violence could make a name for a new game. While this version includes several improvements, it still feels like it's stuck in its original time. The new Rampage mode is certainly worthy of note but everything else here is visibly outdated and should be seen with nostalgia in mind, rather than as an effort to stand out in today's world.

Combine that with the addictive gameplay, classic 90s edge, how it just smooths everything out from the original release such as making enemies way less damage-spongey and making level transitions smoother, and it stacking the Special Delivery and Super Postal stages in as well, and you've got yourself one of the best twin-stick experiences on Switch. Recommend highly. Full Review »

Going postal on the go. (But in HD)
Now you too can go Postal on the go with your switch. Go postal on the bus, go postal on the train, or go postal at school. Wait. Why am I hearing sirens?

I purchased this as soon as it was available on the eShop. At that very moment, it went public.
I've had maybe. At least 1 bug that I ran into while playing on the switch. (This was back when it was just out) On the title screen. I waited a little too long and a game over screen popped up. (I still have the screenshot).

Playing this on the go feels great.
But what sucks is it's no longer on the Australian eShop. I don't get why it's not, But it's on steam without any dramas. Hell. Even the wiki: list of banned games in Australia approved it. Now, all it needs is a co-op update and it's all set.

    Get ready to be shocked

There are tons of options for audio, video, game modes, etc. As a fan of top down , twin stick shooters , and being someone who never played the game the first time around, I couldn't pass it up; especially for the sale price Nintendo has on the eShop .It runs I'm playing in hand held mode on a switch Lite so it's a little hard to see, but otherwise the updated graphics look great. There are about ten or so filters you can also apply, and the original is available too. The gameplay is smooth, and the mechanics are simple enough. Someone else mentioned the game crashing, but I haven't experienced any crashes myself. I would recommend it if you are just looking to have some sick fun. Full Review »
