Mar 7, 20226/10. Terrible story and uninteresting characters, just barely passable graphics. Overall the best Pokemon game in 10 years. Takes a step in the right direction in almost every aspect, but a step from 0 is still only 1. There better be a sequel and it better improve.

Mar 14, 2022game from a graphic point of view, too far behind by Nintendo standards. very bad

Mar 17, 2022What is with the endless dialogue, 2 hours and still holding my hand. No possible skip absolutely painful.

Jun 8, 2022Required a lot of grinding, poor graphics, the story is long and repetitive.

Jun 13, 2022Overall not a bad Pokémon game. I’m really excited that they are trying out new concepts as the top down rpg style, though fun, is getting a bit repetitive in newer Pokémon games and remakes. I’m glad they are taking the series in a new direction.

Oct 28, 2022Certainly a better offering than the rest of Gamefreak's 8th generation, tough the visual aspect could have used more care.

Apr 23, 2022A great game, but definitely not perfect. This game is a good sign of things to come for the Pokemon franchise.

Dec 15, 2022I gave this game a solid 15 hours before giving up from boredom. I just found the story to be boring and was not a fan of the controls or lay out. I like that Pokémon tried something new, but this did not do it for me.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 30, 2024Definitely not a bad game. It handles its mechanics perfectly, and as long as it doesn't try to talk at you, you'll enjoy it. It's the first step on the road to new games with Pokémon on the cover, and the good sales could be the main reason to continue similar work and experimentation. [Issue#317]

Game World Navigator MagazineOct 19, 2022Acreus came out just a few months after Diamond & Pearl remake. Isn’t that too soon? Actually, no. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the most innovative, revolutionary, and maybe simply the best Pokémon game of the last decade. [Issue#259, p.48]

Nintendo Force MagazineMay 13, 2022This really does feel like a big step forward for a series that famously plays things safe, and I'm excited to see where the franchise will go next! [Issue #58 – March/April 2022, p. 72]
