Pretty good game, a mix of tower defense, contra and smash tv. I wish it had more scenarios to play and a multiplayer option. It has potential, only lacks of content.

I genuinely love the core mechanic of the game. Tower defense meets run and gun arcade action shooter. But there's only 3 levels and I only liked one of them. I'd definitely be interested in DLC or an updated version of the game that expands the number of levels. It's straightforward and fun for a minute, but I was done enjoying it within an hour. Hopefully the developers make a gameI genuinely love the core mechanic of the game. Tower defense meets run and gun arcade action shooter. But there's only 3 levels and I only liked one of them. Pixel Gladiator is an arcade action-based shooter that sets you in the future to be dropped off in an abandoned planet as a participant of a popular show called Brutal Gladiator Battles. Your goal is to massacre the local deadly creatures and survive for the glory of television.

The game is pretty straightforward. Their survival mode as well as three arena modes to test your skills in.

The game is pretty straightforward. Their survival mode as well as three arena modes to test your skills in. Kill the monsters to obtain money. Use that money towards upgrading or repairing your defense as well as upgrading your arsenal. Each wave is randomly generated and will get more challenging as you plow through waves. Killing monsters in the range of your cameras near your base will increase the reward. After each round, you have downtime to upgrade what you can afford or hold off till later. The only time you get a game over is if you either die or your core in the center of your base gets destroyed. Once you die, it's back to square one.

Pros: Once you get the hang of things, Pixel Gladiator is pretty fun. The eight-bit style of music is enjoyable. The art style reminds me of old retro-style arcade games.

Cons: I wish it had a multiplayer option. Both couch multiplayer and online multiplayer.

    Rating: 7/10

Overall, this game is a fun and unforgiving game. RNG can be your best friend while other playthroughs are not. I see missed opportunities for not including multiplayer and hopefully, the devs are willing to consider it. I recommend this game for the gamer that loves a good challenge.
