This is what pinball should be, but unlike most pinball tables that have to fit the subject matter to the gonzo mechanical gravity-powered contrivances of pinball, Adventure Land is already there. Who cares about Star Wars or Skyrim or Spider-Man when you have tables like this!

Both tables in the Pinball FX3: Carnivals and Legends pack offer a moderate challenge that, being offered for free for a limited time, complements well the already free table offered with the game on Switch, Sorcerer's Lair. They indeed both feature a challenge that is a little higher and should serve as a good continuation from the aforementioned free table for people who really got into Pinball FX3 through that one and then felt like dabbling in some more advanced tables, while still being fairly manageable for less skilled players. Son of Zeus might be the more interesting of both with some more crazy ideas, while Adventure Land feels more like a classic, "all mechanical," real life table, but that fits the theme so well for the latter and both offer such different experiences that they complement one another perfectly at the end of the day. They are both well worth the purchase even now that they are not free anymore.

Son of Zeus is the table in this pack that shines most. It has good flow, the rules are very simple, it has upper and lower playfields, and ISon of Zeus is the table in this pack that shines most. It has good flow, the rules are very simple, it has upper and lower playfields, and I love the theme of Greek mythology. While spelling "Hercules" is difficult, it is within reach of the skilled player and worth the effort. I did not catch this pack for free when it was initially released, but I feel that the asking price was worth it for Son of Zeus.
Adventure Land is quite nearly the opposite of Son of Zeus in theme and execution. it has a lot of color everywhere and a lot of mechanisms opening, closing, rotating, etc. While all of the mechanical wonders would be amazing to see in a real machine (or possibly in 3D), here it combines with the artwork for a very busy looking playfield. Loading up all the balls for Sky Eye Multiball is satisfying, but a few of the other features are so-so after the first time. So far, Adventure Land has been a bit more of a challenge to progress through too. It is fun for the effects but mastery is probably a bit beyond the average player.
