    I've been waiting for this game for a long time and it certainly didn't disappoint. The story mode of this game is filled with legitimately funny dialog, surprising moments and a cute, memorable art style, although the art style definitely isn't for everybody. Unfortunately for a lot of people, the gameplay in the story mode isn't particularly interesting, since there's a much larger focusI've been waiting for this game for a long time and it certainly didn't disappoint. The story mode of this game is filled with legitimately funny dialog, surprising moments and a cute, memorable art style, although the art style definitely isn't for everybody. Unfortunately for a lot of people, the gameplay in the story mode isn't particularly interesting, since there's a much larger focus on the story.

    If you're looking for an engaging gameplay experience, however, there's also a co-op mode that you can play with a friend, where you solve puzzles and you can even play the incredible sport known as baskick, which is also part of the story mode. To be honest, though, this part of the game could benefit from more content.

    As well as this, the game has pretty decent music and sound design, with some songs that I thought were extremely catchy and very interesting sound effects, like when Piku rolls and lightening.

    Overall, I would recommend this game to anybody who enjoys more story driven games and humor, as well as people with friends, unlike me. To be honest, I haven't beaten the game yet, however, I love this game so much that I needed to give it praise as soon as possible. I give it a 9/10- you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't play this game.    … Expand

    Pikuniku us firstly and foremost a charming SINGLE player adventure platformer. I emphasize single player because like a dummy I pre-ordered without researching, thinking the two identical looking characters indicated a co-op adventure. There was also footage of this in early trailers, however the local co-op is restricted to just under 10 levels - and a snarky basketball game.

    All good fun mind you - just not the focal point of the (already light) content. However, the story that is there is clever and well-told, and the simple to learn mechanics never made me feel like I was working too hard to progress.

    Rather it slightly suffered from a bit of "random button pressing" to get where I wanted to go. This is a shame, and the pitfall of a lot of physics based platforming. Forcing you to push as many things as possible when logic fails and hope for the best result.

    There isn't much of it though, thankfully - and being that your arm-less protagonist (Piku) can only kick things its nice to see nearly everything in the world be reactive to it.

    Truthfully most of the fun in the game was in goofing around, experimenting and just getting lost in the charm of it all. Katamari levels of charm here. But beyond that - the world is small and the story short - so maybe wait for a sale. However as stated above, this game is free for Prime members currently. While that IS the PC version of the game, its not a demanding game by any means. If you MUST have it on Switch (like me), it will probably be on sale within a couple months.

    Pikuniku is a very polished and high quality game. When I say high quality I'm talking about the sound, animations and overall feel of the game.

    It does however fall short on many occasions. It's trying to be a funny adventure and in the beginning you will definitely blow air through your nose several times but when you get farther in you notice that they put all the funniest stuff in    Pikuniku is a very polished and high quality game.     The character movement is a thing many people hate on but I actually like it because it's not supposed to be a super hardcore platformer and it fits the game to be a rolling and wobbling little ball. What I don't like is that there is so little platforming, I actually enjoyed the platforming stages but for me it never got challenging, they could've done more.

    The third thing is that the game is so short, it takes 3 hours to beat it and if you want to 100% it, it'll just take you an hour or two more. It's a decent game while you play it but when your finished you feel like you've been ripped of.

It never takes itself too seriously, even though its story has ultimately more to say than the stories of many self-important games.     I found this game whilst searching on what to play, and found this. I went into the game blinded, and I was amazed! It doesn't have deep mechanics like alot of AAA releases, but the story made me want to complete the game.

    Picked it up on sale for a dollar or two. Spectacular deal. Game is great fun solo and multiplayer. Offers some fun replay ability too. Even at full price I think that it is a very fun and well made game with funny moments. Perfect to play with a child or younger sibling.

Alas, the game-feel is terrible and platforming gameplay is slow and dull, peppered with uninspired simplistic physics puzzles which are easy to solve logically, but annoyingly difficult to perform - you are fighting the controls to solve boring puzzles just to see the end of an annoyingly brief story. The story isAwesome story, genuinely well told with a lot of charming funny moments. Alas, the game-feel is terrible and platforming gameplay is slow and dull, peppered with uninspired simplistic physics puzzles which are easy to solve logically, but annoyingly difficult to perform - you are fighting the controls to solve boring puzzles just to see the end of an annoyingly brief story.     Pikuniku is a cute, weird, and absurd puzzle-platformer with entertaining writing and characters. The controls are very floaty and janky, which I guess is kind of on purpose and fine for the most part, as the game is generally speaking very easy (and as such suitable for younger children also), but can be kind of aggravating when the game demands precision or fast reactions (there is quitePikuniku is a cute, weird, and absurd puzzle-platformer with entertaining writing and characters. The controls are very floaty and janky, which I guess is kind of on purpose and fine for the most part, as the game is generally speaking very easy (and as such suitable for younger children also), but can be kind of aggravating when the game demands precision or fast reactions (there is quite a considerable input lag). The music can also get annoying because it is comprised of VERY short loops.

    I got this game for 3 cents (0,99€ on sale minus 96 gold points) and I don't think that there's really anything to complain about for that price ;) All in all, although it's a little rough around the edges, it's a pleasant, charming and entertaining way to distract yourself for a few hours.    … Expand

    If you've played weird and wacky platformers like Locoroco on the PSP and Freaky Forms on the 3DS, you're going to love this game. The single player is charming, full of life, and creativity; and the co-op had me and my sister entertained for quite a while.

    I really enjoyed my time with Pikuniku, or The Blob Game, as my fiancé calls it. The entire time I played it I kept thinking that the game is just one big giant meme that is self-aware. At this point I am still not entirely sure what the hell I played, but it was a ton of fun despite the game’s shortcomings. First, the game is way too short. Even for completionists there is less than four hours of gameplay time in the main story. There are apparently co-op levels that can add to more game time, but I didn’t play these. Although I would highly recommend this game for new gamers, experienced players will find Pikuniku to be extremely easy. There is almost no difficulty in the platforming, puzzles, or boss fights. Even with the wonky physics that come about with playing as a blob with legs, the platforming is just too easy. Despite this major issue, I wouldn’t think many people would get bored with this game. The atmosphere provided by the environments, music, and slapstick comedy is just too charming to pass up. This indie game also runs perfectly in handheld mode and while docked. I didn’t face any audio issues, bugs, or glitches in my playthrough.
    Pikuniku is a title that I can highly recommend, but just not at full MSRP of $12.99. Although the experience is worth it and this game is better than many titles at this same price, the run time of this game with limited replayability prevents me from saying go and buy it now. Pikuniku is good, but has not blown me away, so wait for another sale. The good news is that this title does tend to go on sale frequently.    … Expand

    This is a short and sweet indie game with great writing. Nothing about the gameplay is exceptional, but just like in Donut County, the story makes it worth it.

    光怪陆离的世界，古灵精怪的npc们以及无厘头的对话，这个游戏太可爱太有趣了。有解谜，有探索也有解锁成就，小小的游戏应有尽有，完成整个故事大概只需要3小时。最享受的还是看npc唠嗑。

    I had fun playing this game, and I think it's basically the point of all this. It's stupid, absurd, cute and the universe work.

    I really liked the humor and the art style. It's nice to see something simple and stupid being also of good quality. Of course it's far from perfect and having a more substantial story could have been nice (especially the ending, feels like it's more of a ''oh    I had fun playing this game, and I think it's basically the point of all this.     Making the missions worthwhile could have been nice too since at some point they was some stuff I didn't care about doing since I knew nothing would happen except ''You did the mission''. I want a little more than that. ;-)

    Some music are really catchy and that was a good feeling.

    For 5$ on e-shop sale, it's worth it. You're gonna have a funny 3-4h of play between bigger games that need all your focus and energy. And we need games like that too in our ecosystem !    … Expand

    This is such a fantastic little game! The comedy is hilarious and very entertaining, and I love the funky leg movement. The music is also astoundingly good! I found some of the track on Spotify :)

    Short game but enough to have a good time at a very cheap price. It's funny, funny and even aesthetically pleasing.

    In fact, nothing about Pikuniku bothers me. It’s a happy, fun little game that needs to be enjoyed by everyone who owns a Switch, and the world is a better place with games like this in it.

    Pikuniku is the perfect Sunday afternoon game; short, but sweet. It’s an enjoyable romp through a pleasant world, teaching the important life lesson that kicking things is often the simplest solution.
