Ever since purchasing this game I cannot seem to put it down it is a very calming and relaxing life simulator. It reminds me of a mashup between Stardew Valley and Pokémon with dancing. It’s just cute adorable and Kawaii!

I don't usually rate games at all. But this one I felt I had to go out of my way to do so. Given the fact it did not have a proper review. I have had a rough couple of weeks. I'm saying this not to share my life, but to express how thankful I am to this game. I have been able to relax and smile while playing because of the charming atmosphere and adorable creatures. Every little bit of the game has been crafted with such care. The dance battles are unique and fun although I feel that there should be more. But in fairness I am only about 5 hours in. The jokes in the game are adorable as well. The farming aspect is what you would expect, but it does come with some unique opportunities for your Ooblets! With each feature I unlock or quest I complete I feel like there are about 4 more things that are opened up to me! I usually am indecisive and have a hard time actually going from debating about purchasing a game to actually doing it. This time I am so glad I took the leap. I absolutely love the game and would recommend it to abyone. Expand

Fun, distracting game, one that you can pick up whenever you need to distract yourself from your day. ~Also the artstyle is so well done and hits that aesthetic I was looking for. But, like others have said, it can get bumpy on the Switch with some FPS drops, but hopefully it gets better along the way. Love my Switch and want to use it more, so here's this game to do so ٩(⊙‿⊙)۶

Absolutely full to the brim of charm & impossible not to like! My GOTY hands down, it's just happiness in a game.

Nice game fun to play and large enough the play for a long time. It’s not the best in this genre but with some patches it will be a great game to play. Love the art style and the ooblets are cute. Gameplay is simple but good and you can do a lots of things in the game.

Terrible performance in Switch, and the game is "meh" at best times. There's really no excuse for a game this basic in the graphic department to have so many FPS drops.

Simple and sweet, but comes with a very expansive and demanding economy (re: character energy - you need to consume three intensely expensive coffees, two laboriously produced hot dogs and have a nap or two just to perk up after a couple of minutes of light gardening??). There are several woefully underdeveloped central mechanics, such as a pointless fishing game (you only cast! That's literally it!) and a simplistic card game (that can usually be won by playing any card you're dealt in any order). The UI is poor (illegibly small inventory icons and a pop-up text box that covers your inventory, a jumbled-up approach to organising info in your journal; no map unless you literally go to the one town map). So many strange oversights considering the lengthy early access. This game needs work. And feels like work, tbh. Expand

Excellent fun and cute, cant find any fault in performance on the switch and the game-play elements make this a very addictive farming life game, the dialogue is well written and witty as well.
It is very apparent that this game got the TLC it deserved and that is lacking in so many of today's titles.

Very quirky and cute game but didn't really resonate with me personally as something very memorable.

I think I would have felt better with this game if i had spent maybe $10 on it. At $30 I just didn't feel there was enough to be worth it. I found it to be really repetitive and the amount of ooblets unimpressive or just not standout/interesting enough to care. The ooblets having 3

I found it to be really repetitive and the amount of ooblets unimpressive or just not standout/interesting enough to care. The ooblets having 3 different color pallettes to each just didn't feel rewarding enough and felt like a way to artificially inflate how many ooblets there are.

The art style I think is what i found a little grating. It just kinda weirded/creeped me out. It has this cheap indie aethetic that I couldn't really get into. I totally don't mind games that arnt flashy with its visuals and channels a specific art style instead but this just felt very odd to me.

I also had a hard time getting into the gameplay loop. It didn't feel pick up and play friendly as I sorta had to relearn everything if i put this down for a week as the amount of systems felt a bit tedious to all keep track of and a bit directionless. I don't usually have this problem as I play a lot of life sim type of games but this just didn't feel intuitive. I think its the type of game I'd probably have to completly invest my time into from start to finish but I just didn't like it enough to feel the need to do that.

I'd still recommend this game to anyone that finds it on sale. It's different enough to be worth a shot but may get kinda dry when you see all the systems get repetitive.

The game is genuinely amazing and way more then i even expected from it. The art style which i found a little odd at first really grew on me and the music is amazing throughout the game. There is a pretty wide range of activities/gameplay and it is very clear that it has a lot of love put into it. The story is pretty good as well and exceeded my expectations (especially at the end).

Yes the game has some performance issues (i have encountered major frame drops once and the minor ones are not too frequent or bad and can be easily ignored). I have soft-locked myself at one point which soured the experience for me quite a bit, but the game is so charming and has so much love at attention put into so many of its parts that i think it is more then worth my time and money.
It works great as a switch game and i really recommend you go try it out : )

Absolutely love it, so relaxing, gameplay loop is simple for pick up and play after a tough day at work. I would have gave 10 but the prices of items are very high.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a very relaxing, fun game. You play as a character that you can customize, you live on a farm where you plant and grow materials to make recipes, and plant and grow pets. You can upgrade your home and decorate it with items, you can go around the town and befriend the locals, you can fly to other places to get more seeds to collect other types of pets, (with both a variant and a shiny forme as well as their original forme), and you have dance battles through a card game to win some of the seeds to grow new friends. You do a bunch of tasks and enjoy a cast of quirky characters and silly antics. Love it. 8/10. Expand

A really fun, chill game. In between grinding to complete the main quest there's definitely lots to do though!

This, then, is Ooblets: a tremendously well-made game that mashes together disparate wholesome game genres to create something unique and clever, with a tremendously memorable art style and sense of humor. [Issue #62 – November/December 2022, p. 22]

Ooblets is a fun and very relaxing game, but all the frame drops and repetitiveness at times do not fully enhance it.

It’s clear there’s a devoted team that set out knowing the cozy little game it wanted to make, and what they’ve created is a pleasure to play. So get out there and become a farming mogul or a titan of commerce or revel in the strategy of dancing — if you like nice things, then you’re sure to enjoy Ooblets.
