There’s not really a lot wrong with One Person Story as a game, other than limited replay value. Perhaps it’s not for everyone, veering away from more traditional puzzle games. In One Person Story, the puzzles are collateral in simply reaching the end and experiencing the story.

One Person Story is a brief but emotive game that marries 2D puzzles with advice about navigating life’s hardships. Although the title attempts to leave an impression, sadly the narrative was not all that memorable, despite the topics raised.

One Person Story takes you into a personal journey of finding yourself. Providing wisdom of life as your journey through obstacles as each challenge represents something related to life's journey. If it's friendship or hardships, you as the player must find a way to beat the challenge and press onward.

You play as a purple orb with a purple tail that suspiciously looks like something else. You don't have control over the orb. It does its own thing and you as the player have to guide it by triggering the pink obstacles at the perfect time or you fail. Theirs no real punishment for messing up. You just have to start that level over.

You have one button (A) to work with for controls and that's it. The other button (B) sends you to the main menu. The controls may be just one button, however, the timing is key and it can get frustrating. Kinda like how life is. It's not going to be a walk through the park for a simple game.

Pros: Controls are simple yet can either make or break your attempt on progressing. The art style is simple and pleasing to the eyes.

Cons: I understand that the purple orb represents you as the player going with the flow of life. I just would like some control over the orb because even in life. We do have control over our own choices in life. Also, playing the same song on a loop will get annoying fast.

    Rating: 7.5/10

Overall, One Person Story is an enjoyable game. If you're looking for a game that requires timing to progress, this is for you. It can get frustrating and you will screw up a lot. Just keep in mind that it's representing hardships and struggles in life. Some situations you have complete control while others you don't and you either need help or push through alone. One Person Story has meaning to it once you sit down and think about what they're talking about. Do what you must with the wisdom they provide but use that wisdom in life.
