Essentially got this game for free with the Nintendo gold reward coins, and because it was less than $2. I saw some review on YouTube with a guy saying it was awful, but from what I saw it looked kind of fun. This same reviewer said that it looked ugly, but I was very drawn to its visual simplistic style. So, I got it. And I'm not disappointed.

It's very pretty challenging and I can see it as a game that people discredit as being unfair or whatever, but once you get a sort of rhythm down, it's weirdly therapeutic. It's the kind of game I'd love more of, even though it's ridiculously simple on paper. Your character - the simplest office clerk - runs straight down these platforms floating in some dystopian void with floating heads 8-bit heads, office supplies, and other random **** Throughout these levels, the platforms will have abrupt turns either left or right (or both) and that's where you - the player - comes in.

You simply make your character go left or right.

BUT - you get faster and faster with each turn. Sometimes the level layout changes abruptly and you have to account for that. Sometimes the random **** floating around is super huge and distracting - even flying at you. Sometimes there are ramps in your path that send you shooting into the air, leaving you guessing where you'll land. You have to essentially memorize the layouts of the map since you only can see straight ahead of you.

I can see this being frustrating for many people, but I very quickly found myself loving it. It got my hands sweaty - and usually that's a reaction reserved for first playthroughs with games like Dark Souls or Bloodborne.

What drew me to this game are the aesthetics: minimal environments & trippy colours, reminding me the likes of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and Killer 7. And also the price: i bought it on discount for less than a euro.

As a game it's also very minimal: the character moves automatically forward like "on-rails" and you only get to input the left and right directions on the right time to turn. The game's challenge comes from the increasing speed as you progress which requires faster reactions, and it can get pretty challenging! There are also multiple ways to finish a level like taking shortcuts or a different route. As you play you listen to a narrator talking moving the story forward and also some very cool electronic ambient tunes.

It's an interesting ride for sure ;-)

This game is the value menu of games. Super cheap but does the job. Well worth the price for the amount of replay value. Great for getting a fix when you want to play something but don't have a lot of time to spend. Lo-fi psychedelic visuals are enjoyable.

Changed my life. LSD trip out of 10.
Consider it’s your meditation course, use LZ and RZ, fly rather then walk.

Perfectly pointless and uninteresting, I don't get why they made this game that way.

I purchased this game on sale for 49 cents after randomly checking my wish list. I had the gold points and went for it after forgetting about the game. It is quite the treat. Very cool aesthetic and music. The game play is simple but highly addictive. For the price I recommend everyone try it. Ive already gotten two others addicted to it.

I really like this game, it's simple to play, challenging, and that's how it gets the rating I gave it. NO THING is very challenging, very disorienting but really fun. One of my favorite indie games I've played in a while. Expand

The closest you ever come to playing Polybius, if this isn't a direct port after all. Hooked!!!

Exelente, un runer simple pero con una extraña ambientacion que hace que un usuario se quede con ganas de conocer mas, tiene su dificultad conforme sigas jugando, recomendadisimo.

A lovely anti utopia. Despite the simplicity both graphics and sound project a strong atmosphere which makes the narrative plausible. I was surprised how a simple-made game like this could be so entrancing. Couldn’t rest until I completed the game.

This game is basically old school snake but on drugs. The only controls are left and right turns. The graphics are sort of "glitch art" style. I was going to give this game a 6 based on simplicity and lack of replay, maybe a 7 because it's also cheap, but i personally love the soundtrack so I'll bump it up to a definite 7 for that. My biggest complaint is that the levels seem to be about twice as long as they need to be. It makes it end up feeling very tedious replaying a level over and over to get to the next. I'd rather have more and shorter levels so that it feels less "grindy" if you're having a hard time, and I think that would also add to the replay value.

NO THING is a great value game with some cool visuals, and it has challenging, entrancing gameplay that will give you that classic sense of achievement when you finish a level. Unfortunately, the sense of achievement for me was 'thank god I don't have to play that ever again'.
