Out of all the NFS I've ever played ( all of them ), This is 1 of 2 of the worst ever produced NFS to date ( the other being "NFS Most Wanted 2012). It's like the game was produced to piss people off instead of being entertaining and fun.
People that "Claimed" that NFS Rivals was garbage in comparison , Are Clearly Clueless, Brainless, probably smoking Dope, and probably should shut up.

If this is what Criterion has turned into, I don't have a lot of hope for NFS 2022.
Especially when there has already been talks of firing people from the CodeMasters Team already.

In level menuing is the worst of it all extremely unresponsive, trying to input down to the options menu can take 20-30 inputs as the game struggles to stay in the material plane of existence before ultimately giving up and crashing to home menu. Trying to start a level is just as bad as when pressing A to start/skip appears it can take up to 30 inputs before it reads that you are indeed playing the game. Expand

This game starts out fun and runs really well but once you get into to higher levels the aggressive AI blatantly cheats, whether playing as racer or cop the game finds new ways of stopping you from progressing.

Great for the Switch. I was surprised how well it plays and the graphics look wonderful docked and handheld. I stood at the store and just starred at the cover for prolly 10 minutes. I was going to pass and started walking away. Then something told me to turn around and give it a try. I'm glad I did. Very fun on the switch.

More EA regurgitated trash. Don't bother with this, runs terrible and is a poor "remaster".

Don't worry about the naysayers who complain this "only" runs at 30fps on Switch. I played the heck out of the original on my PC for hours and hours where it should be said, the game was also locked at 30fps. Once you hit the slick asphalt, lights flashing, gripping onto your Switch for dear life, you won't be counting frames. The sense of speed is still there in spades.

    Looks great on

Looks great on Switch (especially those legendary wet roads at night) though I would have appreciated some effort to increase font sizes in portable mode. Frame rate has been nice and stable on both portable and TV except the odd dropped frame when a major multi-car pile up happens. Multiplayer can choke a little on occasion but that seems to be connection dependent not GPU related.

Yes, the remaster part of the remaster is slight, so I would have rather seen a $30USD price tag than $40 but overall a really nice package. Mostly I'm just amazed that I can now play tone of my favorite arcade racers on the go.

Nice game. Having a lot of fun with it and it also looks great on the Switch. Haven't raced online for a long time and it was super fun doing it again! For me, well worth the money.

Very good game Excellent port Eye-catching graphics The only problem I did not have is the story, which has nothing to do with the switch...

Das Spiel wird im Alter immer schöner und besser, man darf wieder Porsche fahren; in dieser Beziehung eine Atmosphäre, die nur "Need for Speed" erzeugen kann.

A great racing game on Switch, I've been waiting for an NFS version for Switch and now it's a reality, a great port from graphics to sound. To me, Mario Kart and NFS on Switch are the 2 genres of racing games that I like the most

It's nice to have it on the go. The performance in handheld mode is very good. The framerate didn't drop below anything notable to the eye. The loading times are a bit of a let down, as well as EAs nagging dialogues, when you launch the game off the grid. All in all, it's a good catch to make on sale.

Fantastic port, even if it is a bit barebones. Game runs locked 30fps, no exceptions, some slight pop-in here and there but overall the game looks really great for a switch game. This game has a LOT of content, tons of races to do, and they are FUN. The races don't feel like chores. If you liked the burnout paradise remaster you will enjoy this title! 9/10 great port of a great game but nothing over the top.

A pure thrill of riding beautiful and fierce vehicles in gorgeous environments that gives a fresh dose of adrenaline rush every time you pick it up. The graphics limitations are negligible at high speeds and the performance as well as loading times are top-notch. It is a magical trip back in time and exactly the same game as 10 years ago which is basically (arguably) the best NFS that came out after the original Most Wanted and certainly the best one from the 2010s. The AI is giving enough challenge but does not feel over-powered and the racing tracks provide a great variety of road configurations and environment. And the tension is real as they are ready to exploit your every mistake. The price makes sense since we do not have a lot of choice on Switch and the game is optimized perfectly for the platform. I do not think that the game aged terribly. It is just pure racing fun without live-service and social bs.

    P. S. Don’t get all the hate for the soundtrack. Dynamic rock tunes fit the action perfectly.

It's a perfect racing game for people who did not get the chance to play the original PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii versions back when it was originally released in 2010. The only downside is in the free driving mode, the roads are far too linear, as there is only the beaten path you can follow, you can't go outside it.

Solid racer, although a bit outdated in comparison to some of the new titles in the racing genre. Still a nostalgic remaster that's worth picking up if you want to play NFS on the Switch.

One of the best racing games on switch with great cars from 2010. It has good graphics acceptable physics and a nice steering. The 2 modes are also interesting.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a really good racing game with great graphics and gameplay. The only flaw is that there is no opportunity to tune your car like in Need for Speed Underground 2

constant distracting slow motion replays that cause you to crash or miss shortcuts, cheating rubberbanding AI, poor visibility, long loading times, bad framerate

The audio quality is extremely bad. Not sure why they compressed it that badly. It is not playable for me right now.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is a mixed bag. On one hand, its simplicity in its pick up and play race-to-race gameplay style can suit those who enjoy "back to basics" game modes. Anyone seeking an experience that can be fun to play with limited options will find Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered a joy to play, especially given its relatively budget price. Petrol heads and those looking for a bit of nostalgia will be satisfied with the car selection and arcade gameplay. However, Hot Pursuit Remastered's game modes both inside and outside of career mode are fairly scant, and fall short of standards set by other racing games in the modern landscape - even those upheld historically within the Need for Speed franchise itself.

The Need for Speed series isn’t the behemoth it used to be but it’s great to see one of the last great entries in the series make its way over to Nintendo Switch. It may be a ten-year-old game, but it manages to stand toe to toe with other more recent examples on the console with ease.
