Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is appealing to a very specific audience. Part of that audience are the arcade nostalgiacs who will feel warm and fuzzy with every Shinku-Hadouken. The others are fighting game fans who are curious about this series that hasn’t seen an update since 2017. I’m the former, and this is the most fun I've had all year. This is a great addition to the recent efforts to make important arcade games accessible on current platforms, and I’m overjoyed that it’s available at my fingertips. I think the compilation is excellent, and anyone with an affinity or curiosity of the genre owes themselves to tag-in with this game.

Arguably the best Capcom retro collection to date, Marvel fans should run not walk to add this to their Switch collections.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a huge deal for fighting games lover with some of the most beloved 2D fighters in history and The Punisher beat'em up for good measure. With some excellent quality of life additions, rollback netcode and tons of options to customize each game, the compilation is a must buy for couch play and online too.

Capcom's nostalgic package of classic comic book arcade games delivers exactly what you expect. Unfortunately, it doesn't really add anything extra.

Capcom has delivered another terrific collection of fighting games with all the bells and whistles, packed with music, promotional art and development images that every fan of these still-great arcade titles will appreciate. Care has been given to ensure gameplay options are there for all types of players, with solid training and online modes that will introduce a new generation to some of Marvel and Capcom's best collaborative work.
