Is Luigi's Mansion 3: Multiplayer Pack Part 1 worth the cost? It depends on how much value you think you'll get out of the various features. If you don't plan to touch multiplayer, then it isn't for you. Otherwise, you're effectively paying $10 for three skins and three new modes. There will be a Part 2 sometime in April, and it will feature more minigames and more costumes, which will add a substantial value to the package. Honestly, $10 isn't a bad price for what is being offered, but it's for multiplayer fans only.

The charm of the game, however, is really in the solo experience and the main gameplay. All those mini-games are not interesting enough to invite your friends especially and have fun together for an entire afternoon.

While the story mode isn't touched at all, the scarescraper mode gets lots of new designs which are activated by change depending on the groups chosen outfits. Rarely you can catch new redesigned ghosts there to match the environment. This gives you long lasting motivation to get back in there and catch every single type to complete your collection. And it's great for advanced players as the scarescaper is pretty hard. Full Review »
