Aug 10, 2023Between it's features and gameplay, Legend Bowl can be fun but has flaws that can't be passed up. Given the lack of football games nowdays, it can be a good pickup, however it's gameplay has some issues that is holding it back from reaching it's potential. In recap, Legend Bowl is a fun yet flawed football game.

Aug 13, 2023A good mix between a "Retro Bowl" game and Madden. I would've given it a 5 if i would've stayed at original difficulty so some advice is to start at lowest and figure it out and then go up from there. I'm basing my review on gameplay only. Hoping the Franchise edition is solid as well.

Aug 9, 2023The structure in place here is encouraging though and I hope Legend Bowl has a future as the football video game landscape is dire, especially on Switch. Refining the gameplay or deepening gameplay options and tutorials could go a long way into making this an arcade classic. To bake in a relevant sports metaphor, this game is like the first season after moving on from a franchise legend. You could wind up with a losing first season but end up with a first-ballot Hall of Famer when their career is over. Or this could turn out to be a bust and get the head coach fired. Only time will tell because there is a lotta ballgame left.

Aug 9, 2023Legend Bowl is a fantastic retro-infused football game with a host of fan-friendly ideas that truly shows the passion of its one-man development team.

Aug 9, 2023Legend Bowl is a game packed with charm; an interesting hybrid of retro style and attempts at Madden-esque depth in the playbook and mechanics. It's full of heart and raises a smile with its humour and attention to detail; sadly it doesn't convert all of these positives across the board. Performance is improved following patches but still has space to get better, while some odd design and UI choices are hard to ignore. If you can look past the flaws, which could be dealt with in future updates, there are some real merits to Legend Bowl for fans of the sport; it just needs to get over the longest yard to reach its full potential.
