    Cute and fun! The art is gorgeous. They could just make all future 2D Kirby's in this engine. Plus little party games to have fun with friends.

    I'll give this game a 96%. One of my favorite Kirby games from the original Wii version. This remake is just as fun to play along with a new Merry Magoland mode! Finding and Collecting energy spheres is amazing! The music is excellent! Most of the Merry Magoland minigames are great! Had a blast using a variety of copy abilities and the level designs look really nice!

    A mi me ha parecido un juego muy divertido. La parte final de Maglor es la mejor. Lo recomiendo para que todo el mundo lo juegue. Es muy bueno para jugar dos a la vez o incluso hasta cuatro jugadores. Felicidades a los creadores.

    "Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe" on the Nintendo Switch feels like fresh Kirby game. New life is breathed into the game with Merry Magoland, a whole bunch of really fun mini-games (mix of old and new) that you can play to get stickers which can be used to get new Kirby masks which you can wear while playing the game. Believe it or not, this is such a simple concept, yet so addictive"Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe" on the Nintendo Switch feels like fresh Kirby game. New life is breathed into the game with Merry Magoland, a whole bunch of really fun mini-games (mix of old and new) that you can play to get stickers which can be used to get new Kirby masks which you can wear while playing the game. Believe it or not, this is such a simple concept, yet so addictive and gives new life to completing levels and Merry Magoland challenges. For very young kids, you can even enlist the help of Magolor along the game, who actually buffs you further and prevents you from falling off the screen, and providing extra food after each level. And there are two new powers to have fun with - I especially like the Sand power - very versatile. Then of course there are additional new levels, but I won't give any spoilers. Well done, HAL Laboratories and Nintendo. Love this game, even for a second time. It feels new again.… Expand

    Perfect Kirby game, better than last entries, for me is much better than Forgotten Land. I think only Superstar Saga, Canvas Curse and Kirby Dream Land 2 are better.

    Nintendo and the developers from HAL Laboratory created a great remake for the Switch. The short storyline is fun to play and the familiar characters grow on the player. In terms of gameplay, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe offers the classic gameplay with some helpful and interesting content. Above all, the new graphics, the fun co-op mode and other good improvements and content makesNintendo and the developers from HAL Laboratory created a great remake for the Switch. The short storyline is fun to play and the familiar characters grow on the player. In terms of gameplay, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe offers the classic gameplay with some helpful and interesting content. Above all, the new graphics, the fun co-op mode and other good improvements and content makes the title very good and a joy to play. However, the price raises a bit of a question mark, as a cheaper rate, in our opinion, would have been better.     The original Kirby's Return to Dream Land was not a perfect game, it looked great but limited by the wii and RCA cables and in the controls department limited by the wii mote and the lack of joystick, well this remake fixes all of that and decides to add loads of new content, this is easily my new favorite kirby game and the peak kirby experience

    This is how you do a port. Excellent visuals, great new content, the magolor epilogue is amazing and the sub games are a joy to play through. Also completing the missions for each one was fun (though some were pretty difficult)

    a pretty good remake of a classic Kirby game but this game is not worth 60$. Wait for the price to drop by 20 bucks then it's a good pickup.

    Este é um jogo do Kirby voltando as origens dele. Há uma série de novas mecânicas, gráficos incríveis e compatíveis com o Nintendo Switch. Desenvolvimento melhor das habilidades com novos movimentos. Porem a dificuldade do jogo não alcança patamares adultos. Os colecionáveis do jogo são incríveis.

    Honestly, the new art style is such an improvement. RTDL on WII looked fine, but was very unremarkable with its dull colors, and generic locations (grass, desert, snow). But with Deluxe, the new art style really breathes new life into these otherwise standard level tropes and kinda gives RTDL its own visual identity that helps it stand out from other Kirby games. Not to mention all theHonestly, the new art style is such an improvement. RTDL on WII looked fine, but was very unremarkable with its dull colors, and generic locations (grass, desert, snow). But with Deluxe, the new art style really breathes new life into these otherwise standard level tropes and kinda gives RTDL its own visual identity that helps it stand out from other Kirby games. Not to mention all the additions to the game such as new copy abilities, Magolor land, new sub-games, and the new epliouge campaign really makes RTDL Deluxe one of the most well done remakes of any game I've seen. The only critique I've got is that I think it's a real missed opportunity to not have a way to play with friends online. especially since most of the new additions are really multiplayer focused, but otherwise this is a really well done remake of an already good game.… Expand

    Merry Magoland gives at Kirby the concept on make a Party Game Kirby themed and I love the idea. I hope the next game can be a party game with more than 12 sub-games!

    Magolor Epilogue is the perfect example on how to transform a villain to hero. Despite this, the mode is very fun and there's a way to improve yourself with many upgrades at Magolor. The controls of Magolor are almost the same as you see in Kirby Star Allies but with more moves to do. This mode is the best post-game mode of all the series
    I'm sad about no one of the official (or not) reviews talks about this mode so much...

    The con I can say is surely:
    Missing opportunity for make an online multiplayer.
    But there is a reason of why it wasn't inside the game... If you make a multiplayer online mode, there's at least one Kirby for use the Super Abilities.

    The way for fix this is: Make Online Lobbies, the person who creates a lobby must to keep Kirby.

    Anyway, I'm not so good at writing reviews... The game is just beautiful, a remake better than the original I say!
    If you love Kirby or 2D platformers, try this game!

    I always loved this game as a kid. The remake improved in many things. It added new cool (and OP) abilities, improved design/graphics, and more. But it has it's flaws, such as the outline (that did not bother me, but many people did not like it) and they changed the sound Kirby makes when he gets a super ability
    It is still better than the first one, and my favourite game of all times

    Game is very good would put in in my top 5 kirby games it being below forgotten land robobot and superstar ultra visuals really pop more and the epilogue content was pretty substantial

    It's a good game, the bad thing is that if you played the one on Wii and you don't play the remaster, you don't miss almost anything, the only thing that really caught my attention was the epilogue, that Magolor Land thing is totally irrelevant if it costs at stake $30 would be worth it but right now it's not worth it

    I had a blast with my brother and the Minigames are alone something really good and with magolors epilogue this game is a complete masterpiece. It's easy but Kirby games were always easy and it's not a flaw.

    So as Kirby and friends are lollygagging around, a giant spaceship called the Lor Starcutter crashes down. Inside, an alien    Kirby’s Return to Dreamland was originally a Wii game. Many Wii games do not hold up well, and Nintendo’s recent “Remakes” have not been amazing. They’re basically just $60 ports. However, this one looks different. Let’s check out Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe.

    So as Kirby and friends are lollygagging around, a giant spaceship called the Lor Starcutter crashes down. Inside, an alien named Magolor is sad, because his ship broke and the parts are scattered around Kirby’s homeworld, Dreamland. Kirby decides to help, and they set out on an adventure.

    It’s a 2D Kirby game, at its core. Your goal is to make it to the goal while collecting secrets. If you’re new, Kirby can jump indefinitely. He can also suck up and spit out enemies. Some, he can absorb and gain their abilities. There are 2 brand-new ones: Mecha and Sand. Mecha turns Kirby into a cyborg, and it’s a lot of fun to use. Sand is my favorite ability. It’s so versatile. All the levels are accommodated for them, and they were never broken. The level design is amazing. They are a good length, but never drag on. There are many mechanics and they are never cumbersome. In fact, no level was poorly designed. Also, the bosses are very good. So 10/10 gameplay. It isn’t very innovative, but it’s still a lot of fun to play, and it’s very clean and easy to use.

    With the graphics, a big thing is that all the characters are cell-shaded. It’s hard to notice during gameplay and it looks very good. The backgrounds and textures are gorgeous, and the game runs at a smooth 60 fps. The graphics are bright and colorful. When I saw a loop-de-loop rainbow, I fell in love with the presentation. As for the music, it has a special Kirby-sound font that I really love. 10/10 presentation. I guess someone could not like the cell-shadedness, but it has an amazing presentation.

    There are 3 main modes in my opinion. The main story, a minigame collection called Merry Magoland and the Magolor Epilogue. There are 3-5 collectibles per level, and there are many levels. There’s a harder mode after the main story, and 2 boss rush modes. There are also the Kirby staples like the extra games (If you haven’t already, play Forgotten Land), the jukebox and theater.Merry Magoland is a minigame collection. It gives me heavy Nintendo Land vibes. There are 120 missions to complete, and you can get masks to wear during it and the story. Finally, the Magolor epilogue stars Magolor after the story. He’s lost all of his powers and you need to collect coin-like things in order to get them back. You can do this by getting combos while defeating enemies. This is my favorite part of the whole package. It adds some much needed progression to the Kirby formula. I really like Magolor, and it’s great to see him get more development. It even ties into the spin-offs! Also, all of the modes are playable with up to four players. This will take you a while, so don’t be worried about it being over too fast. 10/10 on the content.

    This remake hovered above and beyond my expectations. I really do recommend it. I’d say it’s the best 2D platformer on the Switch! Please check out Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe.

    Incredibly boring 2D platformer. You fight the same minibosses 200 times and most of the powerups are redundant and superfluous. I guess it's a good game for children but if you're a grownup you're probably going to fall asleep. Also, it's another Wii remaster being sold at full price, which is a BS business practice by Nintendo.

    Extremely easy and straightforward for the critical path, which can be finished in a few hours, meaning experienced players might not get as much out of this game as newer ones; multiplayer is, somehow, still local only

    Thoughts-
    Do I recommend Return to Dream Land Deluxe? I do, especially if you have kids or less experienced players around. Simply watching them play this game can be a joy, but Return to Dream Land of course, does let you join in as well. It’s a well designed game that represents the series at the peak of its powers, and I think longtime series fans are going to find a lot to love here, especially if they haven’t played this title before. If you don’t fall in those categories, you might play through this and wonder what all the fuss was about, since on the critical path, for an experienced player, the whole thing can be done in just a few hours – but then again, that’s really not how it’s meant to be played, is it?    … Expand

    Return to Dreamland helps bring gamers back to that nostalgic time of couch multiplayer. Unfortunately, the game itself isn't very difficult, or even really a challenge. You can easily blow past each level with minimal effort. Honestly, you'll probably be more concentrated on exploring each level and finding secrets than actually trying to survive. Which is a shame because with the amazingReturn to Dreamland helps bring gamers back to that nostalgic time of couch multiplayer. Unfortunately, the game itself isn't very difficult, or even really a challenge. You can easily blow past each level with minimal effort. Honestly, you'll probably be more concentrated on exploring each level and finding secrets than actually trying to survive. Which is a shame because with the amazing visuals, I think I would've liked at least a bit of a challenge.     The game puts together a solid remake of the original game with a great presentation and essentially quite a lot of new content, including an excellent epilogue that will be enjoyed by a wide range of players from kids to experienced gamers. [Issue#326]

    Kirby Return to Dreamland is a very competent port of a great Nintendo Wii title that marks the transition from the 2D style to the 2.5D pink dot. A great game, full of content for fans of the franchise and an excellent gateway for those who are just getting to know the little pink ball.
