    This game is so much fun.

    The gameplay is simple but very entertaining and the big amount of unlockables will keep you motivated for a while. With four players, this game gets very intense and in a fun way very chaotic. Furthermore the rounds are short enough that you quickly get the "just one more round" feeling. The tracks and battle arenas offers visual variety, so even if you    This game is so much fun.

    Furthermore the rounds are short enough that you quickly get the "just one more round" feeling.

    The tracks and battle arenas offers visual variety, so even if you get a track in the new round, which you have had before, the track will then look different. The cake, which is one of them for example can be a chocolate, mint or strawberry cake.

    Then you have plenty of opportunities to costumize your own Kirby. The presentation is charming and cute. The start menu is interactive and give you a first impression of the controls. The attention to detail is very high like in Kirby and the forgotten land.

    The only issue is that the online mode has sometimes terrible slowdowns.

    The game itself is its prize definitely worth and offers you more content than Mario Strikers Battle League Football did.    … Expand

    The gameplay is both simple and very fun, and the graphic is amazing. It makes me hungry.
    But there aren’t much content here. I wish some stages will be added via free updates.

    Fun enough game but online play is so frustrating, it lags a lot and just isn’t smooth… I waste of £13 I think as I’ve bought cheaper games that are much better… it’s also a bit of a gimmick, I don’t dislike fall guys… but the difference is it’s free.

    There are 3 games you play in a match of Dream Buffet. A race, minigame, and battle Royale. You could be in fourth place in round 3 ( There are two races; one in round one and one in 3) and still get first place from the battle royale. In Mario Kart, you could be leagues behind in 11th, and by then, you’ve given up. In Dream Buffet, even once the final game is over you can win due to prizes. It makes the game fun for the whole grand prix. One criticism I have is that it’s only 2 player even though it’s marketed as a party game. But the splitscreen is cramped as it is, and I think that you wouldn’t really be able to see much then. 9/10. The gameplay is great!

    The only complaint I have with it’s presentation is it makes me hungry. It looks very good (and appetizing!). The soundtrack is stellar, with a ton of remixes that sound very good. Listen to Love, Love, Alivel! 10/10 presentation.

    It has the main Grand Prix, but other then that, what does it have? Well, there are 256 unlockables used to customize your Kirby. I think of it more like a Battle Pass! There is a free-roaming mode where you can test out everything, but other then that, there’s not a ton of content. It cost $15 so I’m not concerned. 10/10. If it was $60, I’d be livid! But it didn’t cost much, so I’ll give it a pass. Plus, you can replay it like Mario party-it’s random.

    This game could seem underwhelming, but it’s only $15, so any Kirby fan should get this. And even if you aren’t a Kirby fan you should still get this because it is a great introduction to this series. What if Mario Strikers Battle League cost $15?    … Expand

    I hate that I have 2 switches and still can't play this with more than 2 people at once. It's a party game. Let me play with a group. I can't play this with just one kid for long (he gets smoked)

    It’s literally Fall Guys but with Kirby and desserts, which by proxy makes it a better game. So much fun.

Co-op on one system is limited to 2 players versus computers. Local requires separate switch and game per person. So for three people to play you are looking at $45 for this game; four people and you're looking at $60. There isn't an option to have 2 players on one system and two on another - it's strictly one person per console for local.

    And online, like every other online, or locked behind Nintendo switch online membership.

    So here we are, with a 2 star rating - because it's cute, but it fails at what it was designed to be.    … Expand

    First three rounds fun, cool fall guys race levels, crappy catch up mechanic but you can still keep a lead, the game is ruined by the 4th round and bonus crap at the end.     The Metascore to this game is only a 63!??! I don't know what Metacritic is smoking but they couldn't be any more wrong about this game.

    This game is only 15$ and it's just outstanding. Unlockables from just playing the game!?!? No live service garbage?!?!? ACTUAL CONTENT!??! In 2022!?!? Am I dreaming?!?!

    I WANT MORE OF THIS.

    Kirby's fall guys, perdón, Kirby's dream buffet. Es un título que logra ser muy entretenido para jugar con amigos, tiene elementos que lo hace muy competitivo, lo que más gusta del juego es que está diseñado para que el jugador pueda remontar o rebajar hasta en el último segundo de la partida.

    Tristemente, el juego tuvo un desarrollo muy corto y si se hubiera creado más cosas dentro de él    Kirby's fall guys, perdón, Kirby's dream buffet. Es un título que logra ser muy entretenido para jugar con amigos, tiene elementos que lo hace muy competitivo, lo que más gusta del juego es que está diseñado para que el jugador pueda remontar o rebajar hasta en el último segundo de la partida.

    Tristemente, el juego tuvo un desarrollo muy corto y si se hubiera creado más cosas dentro de él podría haber sido competencia directa de Mario Party, ya que la poca variedad de minijuegos hace que poco a poco se vuelva muy monótono y lo dejes de jugar.

    Lo que menos me gustó fue que en el modo offline solo pueden jugar 2 personas, destruyendo la dinámica de un videojuego "Party" si quieres jugar con 4 personas, te obligan a pagar por el Online.

    En general es un buen título con un precio muy asequible y si tienes amigos que lo van a comprar, entonces te lo recomiendo mucho. Sin embargo, sé consciente de que el juego se vuelve monótono tras muchas partidas.

    Cute idea, but very limited content and modes, no 4-player-splitscreen, the controls feel imprecise and, most importantly of all, the lag when playing online is absolutely HORRENDOUS! Nintendo, when are you finally going to get your s**t together when it comes to online gaming?? This isn't 2006 (although the 360 already offered better online back then), we're in 2022 now. Get a move on.

It was a free update, and they even added endless modes to address my complaints concerning replay value. So why couldn't these greedy developers give it to me for free in an update?

    If the developers are going to charge me $60 for the next Kirby game, I expect the campaign and the PvP multiplayer with my purchase. You better not disappoint me HAL Laboratory. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that these developers addressed my complaints, but I will not tolerate such greedy practices. I recommend you wait for a price drop.

    P.S. Don't even dare delete this again Metacritic. I doubt this game would have even existed if it weren't for my complaints. That's exactly why reviews exist. Therefore my opinion should be heard. Learn to accept different opinions, rather than silencing.    … Expand

I don’t think there is ever going to be a big streaming scene or competitive scene in this game, but you know what? Its still a good time.

    For the current market of video game, Dream Buffet sadly doesn't have enough content to warrant not being free. If the customizations were behind a 5 dollar paywall, that would be more understandable. While the game is a really fun time, especially locally with friends, it needs an expansion or two of content before its worth more than an hour of your time at a party.     Fun, cute, but very bareboned. I like it, but there's very little to do, especially since you can't select a course, you just click grandprix and it randomises, which is just a strange decision.

The winner really just comes down to the end-game handouts and it leaves a very sour taste when going from first with a healthy lead to fourth in a matter of seconds based on unseen challenges.

    Coupling the repetitive and frustrating gameplay loop with a lack of four player couch co-op and you have a game that will lose your interest as soon as the initial joy of playing a kirby side game wears off. I do give the game points for its beautiful stage designs, the different food animations when kirby interacts with the level, and the fact that its a kirby spin off with copy abilities.    … Expand

Yes, the game is fun to play, but the lack of new or evolving content means that you're done with it quite fast. What could have been a great Kirby game was quickly abandoned.

    Come funziona?

    I controlli non sono quelli classici della serie ma dovete rotolare in un mondo immaginario, dove sogna Kirby dove troverete diversi percorsi dal gusto dolce oppure salato, immaginate dagli hamburger, torte, e molti altri cibi, dove il giocatore ha il compito di mangiare nel lungo tragitto fragole e tanto altro.

    Per diventare sempre più grassi, che acquisire molta velocità nelle rotazioni e potete rompere qualsiasi muro e così via, e per arrivare primi al traguardo insieme agli altri tre personaggi che sono intrepretati dalla CPU oppure giocatori veri e propri.

    Mini Gioco Singolo = Dove ci sono le varie Gare da fare chi mangia di più vince.

    Il Gameplay

    KIRBY A DREAM Buffet

    Come ho già accennato prima Kirby può solo rotolare e saltare e usare le varie abilità che trovate nel corso del tragitto che sono temporanee come scopo dovete mangiare fino a fare rompere la bilancia, il sistema di controllo e molto semplice usando solo tasto Analogico Sinistro e pulsanti come A, B, X, Y per saltare e ZR per usare le abilità, ci sono le varie discipline come mangiare più veloci nelle tazze buttare fuori gli avversari e mangiare di più e completare i vari percorsi.

    Potete impostare la CPU con diversi livelli di difficoltà:

    Dolce (Facile)
    Normale
    Piccante (Difficile)
    Super Piccante (Ultra Difficile)

    Purtroppo, il tasto dolente è che non trovate una CPU agguerrita perché capendo come si comporta già potete vincere senza problemi.

    Il percorso cambia ogni volta quando entrate in partita per avere una varietà enorme, e alla fine del percorso ci sono le varie sfide tipo mangiare un’intera torta in pochi secondi, battle royal, e così via, non può dire la quantità dei percorsi perché cambia ogni volta quando entrate in partita, il livello delle CPU può essere più basso o alta dipende se cercate sfide o meno.
    Consiglio per chi vuole godersi l’esperienza al pieno:

    Per godersi al pieno l’esperienza di gioco è consigliabile giocare o in coppia oppure in quattro per avere un’esperienza di condivisione oppure in rete per avere un divertimento totale in tutto il mondo.

    Si può giocare anche in locale, con Quattro giocatori, oppure quattro Switch Separate che ognuno ha il suo schermo, o in internet con le password per fare le partite private.
    Longevità

    Kirby’s Dream Buffett, quanto dura ebbene ragazzi e un party game, che offre tante ore di contenuti che permettono di accumulare punti per il ranking e potrai, sbloccare tantissimi skin dei personaggi extra, colori, torte da potere decorare e percorsi aggiuntivi che permettono di variare un po’ nel gameplay.

    C’è anche il comparto online che permette di fare delle sfide con quattro giocatori in tutto il mondo.
    Il lato tecnico è artistico e la colonna sonora Il lato Artistico è molto ben fatto gli ambienti sono molto colorati e invogliano al giocatore sempre di mangiare di più sono ricchi di dettagli sia i dolci e anche personaggi che sono molto ben fatti e tutto fatto in regola d’arte anche le animazioni sono molto fluide anche la fisica cioè un gioco che sfrutta al pieno la console Nintendo. La Colonna sonora e molto bella e ritmatici e potresti ascoltare anche le canzoni delle varie versioni di Kirby in modo che i fan possono ascoltare liberamente. La Parte Online Purtroppo, la parte online, e un po’ il tasto dolente durante la mia prova non ha potuto provarla a pieno a causa delle disconnessioni e certe volte quando non trovava, il giocatore non funzionava il tasto d’uscita quindi per uscire dovete usare il tasto HOME. Però vedendo gli altri giocatori che si può godersi tranquillamente una bella esperienza da condividere con altri giocatori ricordo che richiede Nintendo Switch ONLINE.    … Expand

    interesting concept and that's where the positives end. the gimmick is just mediocre and there's not much content to being with. the worst thing is that this is a game meant to be multiplayer oriented yet local multiplayer doesn't allow more than 2 players. that's silly.

    Nintendo’s continuing inability to create a stable online. The first two games I played errored out after the first event. Subsequent plays have ben plagued with stuttering, freezing, and the game not giving me the power ups I had collected. I had high hopes for this game. Even for a budget $15 game, this game is not worth the cost.

    There could be more content. For fans of action party games there is nothing to complain about. Considering how universally lovable Kirby is, this game is perfect fun in multiplayer, especially online. [Issue#326]

    The relatively short nature of the races within Kirby's Dream Buffet, the way everyone, even those who come last, gain points in a race, and the ease to join in multiplayer online or team up with friends makes this latest Kirby game a real treat to play on Nintendo Switch. The variety of race themes, costumes, and Kirby colours provide good reasons to replay it, and the solo adventure is as fun as teaming up with friends or random players. There is almost no downside, only disappointment when losing but on the easiest mode it is possible to win with very little experience.

    A cute little party game which, unfortunately, just doesn’t reach the same heights as many of its competitors. There’s not much content, the fun doesn’t last for long, and the number of players is severely restricted. This is certainly not a pastime for the whole evening but could entertain you in short stretches.
