I played this at E3 a couple years ago, and it was fantastic! It is so well polished and FUN! Highly recommended - 10/10!

Very polished game. Quite a timesink too, matches are short, so "one more game" is strong in here. Easy to pick up and play, hard to master.

You can tell how local multiplayer is essentially what would make this game fun, the online capability is there but it's got such a small community that unless you are really invested in playing with a group of gamers you will probably just wait around until you are matched with people way out of your league. To top it off the game always has a zoomed out look to it so unless you are playing on a TV it's a bit straining to look at. In the end this game simply feels useless on my Switch Lite and it's community just doesn't seem to be there. Expand

This game is VERY popular at the arcade bar next to my house and I never understood why. Well I bought it on the switch and wow, I totally see why. This game is amazing, and I hope it gets the credit it deserves. Awesome and active online community too, with cross play!

With multiple routes to victory and 100% information available during play, killer queen black offers a superior quality of versus battle. At launch wait times are approx 25-45 seconds for ranked matches and there does not appear to be significant lag while in game. Fun, engaging game - hop the online community supports it well.

Killer Queen Black is the younger brother to the arcade version (Killer Queen Arcade, 10 player) found in many arcade bars throughout the country. Both KQA and KBQ (Killer Queen Black) are very fun games. Big shout out to Bumble Bear Games and Liquid Bit! Let’s highlight just a few reasons KQB is such a fantastic game. Both KQA and KBQ (Killer Queen Black) are very fun games. Big shout out to Bumble Bear Games and Liquid Bit! Let’s highlight just a few reasons KQB is such a fantastic game. It’s similar to smash in that you can always get better at this game, there’s no mastering it. Hence, it never gets old!! KQB also brings people together and creates friendships! Team up with local friends or people online from around the world, and strategize on how to win. The 3 ways to win gives this seemingly simple game a lot of complexity, strategy, and endless competitive fun! This game will stay in your collection! Connect a mic and chat through the Switch console game (coming soon to Xbox in 2020), or play on pc. I recommend getting the Discord app and connecting with players this way. They can teach you a lot and expand your player base. Get the game and thank me later! Expand

Killer queen black expands what is good upon the arcade and improves it dramatically. The developers keep working to make sure their clientele will receive the best possible game. For a cheap price you will have great multiplayer fun!

This is a really good game. It may be one of the best multiplayer games on switch. It feels exactly like a home console version of Killer Queen. It feels a bit more polished than the arcade version. My biggest gripe is that I'm not really tempted to play this game single player and playing multiplayer requires some compromises. You also can't play 8 people on one switch. The best KillerThis is a really good game. It may be one of the best multiplayer games on switch. The best Killer Queen experience is with 8 people. In order to do that, you need a minimum of 2 switches and 2 copies of the game. This sucks because if I want to play this game at a party of something, I need to make sure someone else has a switch and a copy of this game. Expand

Killer Queen Black is a nice and unlikely mix between two gaming worlds. The gameplay owes everything to the early arcade games from the '80s, like the half-forgotten Joust. KQB is very aware of this duality, and it indulges its arcade roots even as it provides modern quality-of-life features such as a spectator system.

All in all, I'd rate Killer Queen Black a couple of points higher than a 6… except that the game is currently barely playable from where I live. Ranked matches barely seem to exist in Europe, and even quick matches usually involve a minute or two of wait, just to be packed in a match with two or three human players and bunch of bots.

I'm sure that this game would play great with two well-coordinated teams of human players that know how to use voice chat. With the current shortage of players in my corner of the world, however, I spent way too much time waiting for matches that were disappointingly devoid of humans.

I have been watching this since it was announced at E3 in 2018. It did not disappoint. Deceptively simple and surprisingly complex all at once, KQB really makes teamwork fun. I have not enjoyed a game in some time and I hope the community continues to grow. KQB deserves to be recognized!

This game is super competitive and fun! The three victory conditions might feel overwhelming on your first match, but it's something that I've had friends easily and quickly pick up and get into!

Really great community on discord and friendly players willing to help players grow and improve. Competitive scene and Indy Gaming League is amazing with people streaming fights on twitch and announcing them. The game seems fun....but I’m waiting 5 minutes to get in an online game. That’s way too long. Seriously, can’t get 8 people together in less than 5 minutes? And this game was just 90% off. There must be a decent sized user base, at least this week considering the sale. I don’t get it.

The arcade classic hits the Nintendo Switch and surely is a thing to be happy about if you are into chaotic, cooperative-multiplayer action-platforms. For skillful fingers, there is a lot to love here. On the other side, all the less experienced players are going to get from this Killer Queen, is a ruthless sting of the losing streak. So beware.

Killer Queen Black is a wonderful adaptation of the modern arcade game. If you're a fan of unique online multiplayer experiences and frantic 2D action, it's a definite must-play game.

Killer Queen Black is a surprisingly superb mix of action and strategy in a 2D arena. Levels, game modes and character choices are rather limited after repeated matches, but the action and strategy are enough to keep players invested simply by having a good time. Killer Queen Black is an exceptional choice for gamers that want quick fun in a 2D space.
