Off the bat this is the first and last i will ever buy a just dance game, this is just ridiculous you have to buy the game for £40 that gives you 20 song then you got to pay £20 per bloody a year to do all the other song they have. I cant believe I just paid for a half ass game, ubisoft stop being a corporate money hungry pig.

Very lazy, very repetitive. Don't get this game. It also has awful songs like Baby Shark so they can pander to the mainstream. Ugh

I'd rather play Just Dance on the Wii. This game sucks.

First, it has stupid songs like "Baby Shark". The song selection is garbage. The game is $40 songs and comes with 15 songs. If you want more, you have to spend another $20 for the rest of the good songs. Not worth it. Secondly, the game lags because it requires good internet connection, which I think shouldn't be necessary

Expand

This game will keep you entertained for one hour. One hour that comes with a hefty price and a very very limited catalog of songs. Even after you do start the trial, Ubisoft released an online-only game, and their now-famous server's poor performances will ruin the fun, crashing 4/5 before or during the songs. A nightmare. The bet on having kids ask their parents to pay that fee is pure evil. Sold it already. Expand

My 3 kids love it and it's way better than watching (stupid) Youtube videos. At least some sort of exercise when it's rainy outside. Family with kids? Enjoy!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a HUGE Just Dance fan. I've been playing that game franchise for over 5 years and I still love it with the new songlist and choreography. For Just Dance 2020 being the eleventh game in the Just Dance franchise celebrates 10 Years of Just Dance. It includes the standard 40 tracks in the base game which is pretty much the standard for any Just Dance game. The menu is very much almost identical to Just Dance 2019, but the good bonus there is the fact that the option to make your own Playlist is there from launch this time. The previous game did had that feature in a later update. The songlist for Just Dance 2020 in the base game is very much on-point much like previous Just Dance games with a bunch of hit songs mainly from the 2010s and the years 2018 and 2019. So yeah, expect to see Lil Nas X's Old Town Road (Remix), and Billie Eilish's bad guy in the mix, alongside with a Katy Perry song. There is also noticeably a few more K-POP songs which is awesome since the BLACKPINK song from Just Dance 2019 is surprisingly most played. There is a few unknown songs that you'll eventually enjoy it, of course there is a couple of pre-2000s songs (unfortunately covered again. *sigh*), and there is actually a few 2000s songs. And of course Baby Shark... really.

Much like before, the Just Dance Unlimited feature used in the previous four Just Dance games first debuting in Just Dance 2016, is included in Just Dance 2020 making it the fifth game to have this feature. And you'll be blown away that the number of songs in that online subscription based catalogue has hit 500 and still growing with new exclusive songs and past Just Dance favorites added in throughout the year to keep the game fresh. If you ask me, that is where you'll get the most playtime out of it. So even though the game allows you to have 1 month free for the start, I would suggest paying to get the most out of it while potentially waiting for the next Just Dance game to get announced at E3. Kids Mode is pretty much a staple with 8 songs + Unlimited for the kids to... enjoy.

For other things, the game finally brings back a few cool features to those on 8th Gen Consoles and Switch, being; Skins, Co-Op mode (once known as the Gem Mode From Just Dance 2016/17), Sticker Book which this time you'll be collecting stickers based on all moments of previous Just Dance games in this book), and even the Similar Songs screen that shows after a song has finish to keep the party going (you can always hide or show this in the Options Menu). One big new feature is All-Star Mode which is Just Dance's version of Career Mode. With that you help the Panda mascot go to his party by picking up coaches from the previous iterations of Just Dance from Just Dance 1 all the way to Just Dance 2020 where after that, it'll unlock the song High Hopes by Panic! At The Disco. There is also one extra song which requires you to use a code being the song Get Busy by Koyotie. If you are wondering what the alternate routines are like, well... the extreme bit is that most of the alternates are Extreme Versions which they are mostly enjoyable to learn but difficult to master. The cool thing is that the songs in the Base Game apart from the code song and the Frozen 2 song has unlockables which you can get; an avatar for playing it once, a sticker for playing it three times, and the gold avatar for Megastar which for some requires practice. For the Extreme Versions, just get Superstar on the original. And Alternates, just dance the original 5 times.

So in summary, Just Dance 2020 celebrates 10 Years of Just Dance in style, even if the menu is the same as 2019. World Dance Floor is the same, Kids Mode is something, the returning and new additions are awesome including how you unlock stuff, Unlimited is a must-have for longevity even if it requires an active online subscription, internet and money, and yeah. That is Just Dance 2020 in a review. As always, I can't wait till hopefully if it is titled Just Dance 2021. Just Dance 2020 is a fun game and a decent workout for anyone which I highly recommend playing.

This game is a fever dream. And not a fun one.

The rhythm aspect can be beaten with spastic flailing. It doesn't cue clear instructions on movements. The dances rarely "vibe" with the songs. The song selection is really weird. Why is a rendition of a Monty Python song in there? Lots of Latino songs. Not enough songs either. Well. I take that back. There are a lot of songs. But they're

Well. I take that back. There are a lot of songs. But they're buying a SUBSCRIPTION. I'd understand if they were expansion packs entirely. But making someone pay monthly is just absolutely cancerous anticonsumer behavior.

This game should keep a child under 10 happy for a little while but I just don't like supporting abusive monetization. And it's not fun whatsoever for adults or as a party game. Just skip this. And bring back guitar hero or rock band.

Bought this one to replace JD2018 for my stay-at-home quarantine. And so far it's a solid game:
    * They fixed UI! Now it's user friendly. The songs have video previews, the gift machine is quick, playlist are easier to create and track). Also, now it's just a corporate boring menu. But I don't mind efficiency here.

This is a game I enjoy a lot, the graphics, the little details like customizing your user, all are beautiful and well executed. It just needs two more crucial aspects, hence why it's not hitting a 10 on my list: 1. Leg gear, so the foot movements can be tracked too like in Ring fit adventure and 2. This game took everything that wasn't good about JD 2019 and made it BETTER I mean we got All-Stars which I absolutely love, New old songs like Never Gonna Give You Up from JD 4, Barbra Streisand from JD 3 and Mas Que Nada from JD 4, And best of all GOOD SONGS on my opinion like we got songs like Kill This Love by Blackpink, Bad Guy by Billie Ellish, And most importantly BANGARANG by Skrillex.

Being someone who really doesn't follow whatever songs are popular nowadays, I knew like 5 songs going into this game... mostly the songs written prior to 2010- BUT most of the songs they picked are extremely danceable, and I like how the roster is really multinational.

So like the visuals look great, it's fun to dance to, the interface is nice, clean, and bright... Why did I give it such a bad score? Well, have fun swimming through the constant advertisements for their subscription or whatever! I'm pretty sure I have to dismiss 3 messages just to get to the menus, and then you get more ads after every song you dance. Not cool, ubisoft, you just continue to disappoint me and I hate how you own nice IPs. If Just Dance keeps having this many ads, I might just... never buy another one, and I guess that's cool cuz this one is quite good, and hopefully I won't get tired between 2 games.
And also yes, what the literal hell is Baby Shark doing here?!? GET IT AWAY FROM ME. Guess you gotta include the kid specific content tho.................

Overall though, this game was the best $20 I ever spent during the pandemic, and it provided not only hours of enjoyment, but a little exercise when I needed it most. It’s flirty, active, diverse, and the perfect activity for a rainy day. For dancers age 10 or age 60, finding rhythm is delightful with Just Dance 2020.

Just Dance 2020 is quite a standard game for the series with a bright style and cute graphics, which has even fewer innovations than the next annual FIFA. The local tracklist looks very strange, because in Russia we have more popular artists than the Monatik. The story mode with Panda as a celebration of the series ' decade is clearly insufficient, as is the diverse but meager set of tracks. At the same time, if you already have a subscription to Just Dance Unlimited and any other version of the game, starting with Just Dance 2017, then there is no point in buying Just Dance 2020.

Perhaps this is, at least for a newcomer, a bit like showing up halfway through a movie and complaining about it, out loud, to absolutely no one's interest. There's something genuinely fun about playing Just Dance 2020, and while there's nothing surprising, there really doesn't need to be. As a product, this works. However, it doesn't always feel like a game. It feels, at times, like interactive marketing, and while that may be fine for some, it's hard to believe no one out there is going to look at this and feel like it's anything more than a commercial you can play.
