    Infinite – Beyond the Mind is a finely-crafted game that blends several genres together. It’s reminiscent of Sigma Star Saga from many years ago with its seemingly odd merger of two genres together which winds up creating something that’s not only a great representation of one genre, but two. It’s a smooth-playing action-platformer that also manages to be an enjoyable side-scrolling shoot-em-up with a bite-sized level structure that ensures players are never bored. Those craving a fast-paced game that keeps them engaged from beginning to end should give Infinite – Beyond the Mind a shot.

    Infinite - Beyond the Mind isn’t a lengthy adventure—clocking in around three hours depending on your chosen difficulty and experience—it’s enjoyable from start to finish and very hard to put down. The brevity of the individual areas complement the sense of speed that the game pushes, and the bosses put an exciting cap on each stage. Two-player co-op play, a save feature, and three difficulty levels round out the package. Even though it’s not the most innovative or feature-rich game, Infinite - Beyond the Mind is well-worth a purchase for those who want a quick and fun action-platformer that is sure to remind them of the NES’ glory days.

Of special note is the variation between levels both graphically and in play style (There are a number of horizontal shooting levels in amongst the platforming levels which is awesome!) I love the way you can chose your path through many of the larger levels and the boss fights are actually fun in this game too! 16 levels, each split into 2 or 3 sub-levels provides plenty of content. If you like what you see in the trailer, you should definitely pick this up - especially if it happens to be on sale!… Full Review »

A simple, high quality game with just enough content to make it worth your while.

    I bought this game on sale because I was not sure that it would meet my expectations. Now I can say for sure that I would get it at full price if I knew that I would have this much fun with it.

    A single developer, Emilie Coyo, has created the game I was missing on my Switch. This little gem made me feel closer to my childhood memories, playing Genesis with a friend on a Saturday afternoon.

    While it certainly brings about my retro nostalgia, Infinite: Beyond the Mind has updated gameplay elements that makes it stand tall with top tier games today. You can easily jump, double jump, dodge, air dash, attack and call support, all with responsive controls. Combat feels fast, challenging, and rewarding. Boss fights in particular are well designed, diverse, and gratifying. If you need a helping hand, you can start the game in couch co-op mode.

    You can save your game between areas on normal, otherwise you'll get back to the beginning on expert mode on game over. You also get automatic upgrades as you progress. There are a total of 16 areas. Each with 2 levels and a boss fight. Attemping to complete the whole game is both challenging, engaging and a lot of fun. The areas and enemies feel distinct and detailed enough to help your sense of progression and discovery.

    You can tell that the developer put a lot of care into her first game.
